I went to the coliseum one day, and say two new cups, one of them titled "????" I thought 'Oh! the ice titan, cool.' My thoughts during the cut-scene were like this: 'Is he coming outta that magic thing in the sky? Ok, giant lazer. Is he gonna come outta the grou--oh. Oh my. I've made a huge mistake.'
Not knowing who Sephiroth was when I played this battle the first time, All I knew was that there was a cutscene, which was weird for an Olympus Cup/Battle, some mysterious anime guy descends literally from the heavens, has a bitchin', 7 foot long katana, a terrifying theme tune, and doesn't say as word as he eviscerates me in 4 seconds. I trained for many, many, many hours before I finally defeated him. And it was worth it.

Sephiroth really cut down Galeem faster than he destroyed me playing this game. There's one thing in common though. Only took one swipe of good ol Masamune.
I NEVER played or even knew anything about VII at the time I first played Kingdom Hearts. However when I first got to Sephiroth I did get a nagging feeling the moment this theme played that I was in for something special and dreaded. Was almost immediately killed a few seconds later. Later on when I had a friend over and I was showing this to him, turned out he did play and finish VII and he told me that I was a lot more screwed then I never thought I was and proceeded to explain who Sephiroth was.

jvkirbyfan1 Yeah but what if one is trying to save his or her elixir? After watching a show called "Cheat" that use to come on G4, she explained how to hit him when goes to do Heartless Angel. You need to level up your Valor Drive form so you can use it's high jump abilitie to help reach Sephiroth in the air. You could also level up Sora's master drive form Ariel Dodge to reach him as well.
i actually beat sephiroph with the oblivion. but i was at level 100 and had 2 crystal crowns and a giga bangle or something and used all the ____ ups on me and had a invintory full of megalixars and i still was really close

everytime 1:22 comes on my mind just returns to the crazed frenzy the fight would devolve into by the last phase, sephiroth's just teleporting everywhere, his footsteps are like in every direction, he's spamming death balls and fire pillars, and im just spamming heals and strike raid
KoderKat play it. it really is great, especially some nostalgic feels lol. Plus my greatest gaming accomplishments were beating sephiroth on expert mode in both kh games for ps2, and also in crisis core on the hardest setting.
I was able to beat this game in a matter of 3 days without much trouble at all, but when it came to fighting this guy I'm down in seconds WHY IS HE SO POWERFUL
Joshua Brown I beat him at level 75 but it took me like 20 tries before I could get his attack pattern all right and you have to get to at least level 1 on each of the forms in order to dodge his attacks
Jeez, this makes me remember something that happened about a year-ish back; I was about to spend the night at a friend's place, and then all I hear, as I walk in their house, is this song blaring from my friend's room. I threw my stuff onto the couch in the main room, jolted to his room, and yelled at him, *"(friend's name), DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOU'RE UP AGAINST?"* Simply put, he didn't live long in the game afterward, lol.
It really feels like your looking at an angry and unimaginably powerful being. One that you can't even begin to fathom. It builds it's sense of imminent deviation so well, I love it.
Guys this battle is nothing compared to what I did. If you had a CodeBreaker for your PS2 than I advice you to download the code that allows you to fight Sephiroth where ever you go. WHERE EVER YOU GO! Even in a small area. Except the old black and white Mickey world. Anyways, once you get both of those try fighting Xemnas and Sephiroth on the last difficulty mode. Sephiroth will fight you all the way through except the part where you and Riku are on that flying vehicle fighting the Dragon.
i remember how much rage this brought me trying to complete it and how good it felt when i finally did and then came kingdom hearts 2 and once i saw him i thought oh boy here we go again and almost cried when i saw how much health he had in 2.
I remember when this game came out, me, my mother and my 30 year old brother all played it. I was the last to unlock the battle against Sephiroth, but the first to take him down. I was 11. I felt like such a legitimate badass because I beat this big honking boss before my brother, who was ALWAYS better at video games than me. Then 2 came out and I realized how much of a child I truly was. Still kicked his ass tho
One of the hardest/ most memorable bosses I’ve ever beaten and the music is amazing! That one attack in particular that he has (sends your HP to one and then follows it up with a leaping sword attack) is ridiculous. Was playing Elden Ring recently and thought Malenia actually kinda reminds me of this fight. Brought back memories both fond and painful lol 😂

Sephiroth, Lingering Will, and the data battles defined what it meant to be an optional boss. People can complain all they want about bosses like Malenia in Elden Ring that require a specific course of action to dodge the attack rather than just pressing B/O, but those people can’t even begin to comprehend what a Larxene with no reflega is.

I beat him in 3 weeks. I found a good strategy, and my older brother leveled me up to level 90. All you need are all mp abilities (i chose wizard path), leaf bracer, sliding dash, strike raid, second chance, 1 elixar, and fill invintory with high potions. If you want me to explain further let me know.

I've never played Kingdom Hearts before, so until I found this video on the sidebar, I had no idea Sephiroth was in it. Just to think that this is the same game that has Disney characters in it tagging along with beautiful Square Enix characters...and they're all facing SEPHIROTH?!!! jvkirbyfan1 Yeah but what if one is trying to save his or her elixir? After watching a show called "Cheat" that use to come on G4, she explained how to hit him when goes to do Heartless Angel. You need to level up your Valor Drive form so you can use it's high jump abilitie to help reach Sephiroth in the air. You could also level up Sora's master drive form Ariel Dodge to reach him as well.

Guys this battle is nothing compared to what I did. If you had a CodeBreaker for your PS2 than I advice you to download the code that allows you to fight Sephiroth where ever you go. WHERE EVER YOU GO! Even in a small area. Except the old black and white Mickey world. Anyways, once you get both of those try fighting Xemnas and Sephiroth on the last difficulty mode. Sephiroth will fight you all the way through except the part where you and Riku are on that flying vehicle fighting the Dragon.

i remember how much rage this brought me trying to complete it and how good it felt when i finally did and then came kingdom hearts 2 and once i saw him i thought oh boy here we go again and almost cried when i saw how much health he had in 2.
I remember when this game came out, me, my mother and my 30 year old brother all played it. I was the last to unlock the battle against Sephiroth, but the first to take him down. I was 11. I felt like such a legitimate badass because I beat this big honking boss before my brother, who was ALWAYS better at video games than me.
Then 2 came out and I realized how much of a child I truly was.
