I’m a big fan of Phil Collins and his catalogue, I think he’s amazing. But I’m also a lamb.. she covered that perfectly. Mariah has a lot of emotions in her voice but she’s not “focused” on giving emotions to others, she’s focused on expressing the lyrics perfectly with her voice.

I love the Rainbow tone here. I like her voice a little more raspy as it brings out more emotions to me. A pretty voice is not always about hitting all the notes, but also about bringing emotions to the lyrics that you sing. This song is a masterpiece both in Phil Collins original version, but also in Mariah Careys version. :)
