The announcer’s name is Michael Beard. He does have a face, but that picture was taken with Game Lord Chad Okada, along with other other SNK USA staff... and it’s in momochrome (like as if it was taken from a local newspaper). He also played the Final Boss of Fatal Fury 2: Wolfgang Krauser. In fact his final role that he played before he left was Krauser in Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 & Special.
He went by BJ Love in the credits if memory serves. He also did other voices that were pitch adjusted in other games, like Jack, Young Geese, and Mr. Big. There's a color picture of him here. Seems like he's been vapor since he left SNK as there's been no info on him sense.
I really like this Game, there are a few things I like more as in BS2, for example if you reach base 2,3, and home you are not able to run back if a fly ball was cachet in BS2. And it’s great how strong the the SNK crushers grow if you win a few games. That game was my first contact with Baseball back in the 90s.

Then Ninja Blacksox, SNK Crushers, and Creative Brains. If you know any tricks, I would love to know! Is there a way you can see PITCHER'S stats for batting, hitting, running?
I know this a pretty old review, so you probably already know this, but if you are looking for a similar, newer game, Super Mega Baseball 3 is kind of similar IMO. It even has a ton of customization, a franchise mode, and online play. Granted, the studio that made the series got bought by EA, so who knows what the future holds for a potential sequel.

Had this running in my MVS cab for a while.... Then I got Baseball Stars 2. Never needed to put it back in again. Lol

Yeah, as a matter of fact after publishing this video I realized Super Mega Baseball actually does somewhat fill that niche.
