Ferrell's rich, textured voice strokes these often-formulaic songs along. Dipping into modern pop, R&B, gospel, and jazz, Ferrell paints some splendid portraits here (even if she does tend to over-sing her lines occasionally). Best is the funky "Satisfied," an amalgam of everything Individuality (Can I Be Me?) sets out to be. A breakthrough album from a behind-the-scenes artist deserving more
Just don't understand why someone that can sing like this is not seen on TV and she is singing by herself. She is awesome and I would take her over any of the popular new singers out there. Maybe if we email some of these shows and request her to be on their shows we can see and enjoy more of the amazing singing talents of Ms. Ferrell. Her concerts should be sold out everytimes she does one. Believeing I will see you soon on TV Ms. Ferrell everywhere.
You're absolutely right about Rachelle being the best singer on the scene today. Their is no other female vocalist today that can match Rachelle's range, versatility, improvising, scatting, etc. etc. I luv you Rachelle. Thanks for sharing this clip.

Beautiful song by an incredible singer- who cannot "oversing or undersing her lines"she is innovative creative and chaotic in the creative sense. She breaks the "vocal rules" you cannot contain her expertise - she soars too high for comprehension- what you call over sing (in your opinion) is ecstasy to someone else-- Appreciate the GODDESS OF SONG- we can all learn so much from her innovation and musical genius she is truly SATISFYING don't you all agree??

All throughout my life I have never had a favorite singer because I could never say that one singer was better than another, that would be like comparing apples to oranges; but from the very first moment I heard Rachelle sing "Waiting" in the 90's, then hearing "Satisfied" on a Bay Area radio station, not to mention her phenomenal expression of love for our beloved brother Bernie Mac at his funeral; I must say she is running an incredible first place! A truly sensitive and gifted talent...She surprises me everytime.

Yes, without a doubt one of the best vocalist of ALL time. I have been listening to this great lady for three decades. She has the romance, range and style of an deniable vocal Goddess. Her fans know she is so underrated, but will can keep her as our little piece of musical heaven here on earth…l love all live versions of her music. Thank you so much for posting.
