Classic Sonic is encouraging Modern Sonic to forgive him and give him a chance. Good for him. He's more pure than his modern self. He's somewhat like Goku who's always willing to give people chances despite their actions and them being his enemies in the past.

I like how classic sonic talks in this - He was actually meant to be able to talk but due to the limitations on things such as the genesis he wasn’t able to talk in the games
I have newfound respect and appreciation for Classic Sonic in this story arc. Him being younger and pure-hearted like Amy, Silver and Uncle Chuck helped and protected him from being corrupted by the wicked influence coming from Fleetway Super Sonic within Modern Sonic. Classic Sonic was more mature, calmer and positive about the matter concerning their father than Modern and showed that he developed a lot in his character growth and was talking and thinking seriously while looking at the positive side of things rather than focusing on everything negative like how Modern Sonic was. I truly appreciate how Classic Sonic called Modern Sonic out on a number of topics, past incidents, their own past mistakes, not doing the right thing in being forgiving and on his hypocrisy and double standards in being forgiving of Dr. Eggman and other villains while Modern Sonic was trying to make excuses and looking for reasons not forgive their father. Classic Sonic had to talk real sense into Modern Sonic and make him see that he was allowing Fleetway Super Sonic to manipulate him, his family and almost everyone around him and warned him that if he’s not careful that Fleetway would escape again. Hearing and watching that brought needed relief for how I was feeling these past days towards Modern Sonic and most of the characters in this story arc.
I hope now the path of redemption and forgiveness on everyone’s part can start. Holding grudges never helped anyone and never will. I hope we see Modern Sonic make sincere efforts to fix things with Jules and get everyone to let go of their negativity towards Jules ans forgive him, otherwise Fleetway will only continue getting stronger until he’s freed again.

But, Sonic, you never gave him a chance. Like Classic Sonic said, recent behaviors didn't reflect you. I wanted to tell you: This isn't you. Sonic I know was friendly and heroic, so heroic enough to lend help to anyone in a difficult situation. He helped anyone in need, so imagine the shock and devastation that I felt when you acted completely opposite of being a hero. Your father really needed help, but you coldly refused to help him. Your emotions, anger, and hate got the better of you.
Sonic, when I was reading your adventure in IDW, I was shocked when you decided to give a second chance to Eggman (Mr.Tinker). After he tried to rule the world while causing devastation and destruction, I was reluctant to give him a second chance. I was like 'put him in the jail for life, with deep surveillance.' However, you decided to give him a chance, while everyone is reluctant to do that. You gave a second chance to the old enemy who almost killed you multiple times, but you gave none of that to your father, who was your family. I would have argued, but I would never lay a hand to the dad as you did.
When you turned into Dark Sonic, Eggman stepped in, telling you 'don't let your anger out of control.' I also had an experience like you, especially in adolescence. Well, I wanted to understand my parents' opinions and feelings, but my mind suddenly went blank, left only with anger and hate. When I came back to my senses, my mom was crying uncontrollably, with the bruise on the arm, while dad told me, "you have to feel lucky that I didn't call the cops. Go to your room." I let my anger and emotion out of control, and I was devastated about what I did to my parents. I felt shamefulness, sadness, devastation, and hopelessness.
Sonic, I played a mobile game of investigating a murder, and one case was tragic. It was about one man found dead in the woods, and he had a bad relationship with his son, just like you. When I informed his son about the murder, he burst into the tears, stating, "The last thing I told him was that I hated him, and now I'll never be able to take it back!" It was an extremely sad scene.
Your father is still alive, and you still have a chance. I feel thankful that you finally realized what was happening, but you need to hurry. Fleetway is on the move to ruin everything: your relationship with your father, friends, families, and me. I hope I can go to a movie theater (to meet Movie Sonic) happily after seeing you making amends with your dad. Good luck.

There is an issue with that. Fleetway is directly connected to Sonic's powers. If he dies, Sonic's powers are gone. This was established during the Fleetway arc

Keep in mind Fleetway is an embodiment of Sonic's negative Chaos Energy, which he was exposed to over the years of going Super with the Emeralds and, possibly, Simp Shadow constantly causing Sonic to go Dark. I could be wrong, but this is what I think.
