Great content Mico and Nicole!!! It's great that you made this effort to go back to your original hometown Bacolod! You must have been emotional on the warmth and love extended by your old neighbors even though many many years have gone by..seems you were teary eyed and touched by their gesture. Woah, who would have thought Mico. I watched your earlier vlogs when you first arrived in the Philippines and now you are in Bacolod? That is my hometown, born and raised. Wow. Welcome fellow Bacolodnon. Though I eventually stayed in Manila as an adult, we maintained our home in Bacolod. I am now US based though family visits every few years or so.
I can’t believe you are from Bacolod too! Recently took my partner to meet my whole family as well and boy has it changed! We will be doing a 3 month euro trip and your packing videos have been so helpful! Happy Travels!
Love your videos guys! How awesome you got to take Nicole to your hometown and see where you lived. The warmth and hospitality of your neighbors is typical and legend of Filipinos in general. Did you only speak Ilongo, or also Tagalog when you were younger? Enjoy your travels and shout out to you and your families from the United States (N.D.)😊👋
Thanks so much we had a great time with family and friends. We were so touched by their response too 🥲 and I'm so glad I was able experience the reunion together with Nicole. When I was young I think I only spoke Illongo but honestly I don't really remember haha 😅I hope to learn the language one day!
@@nicoleandmico I hear ya! I'm studying Tagalog now. My parents emigrated to the U.S. in the late 1950's where I was born, raised and educated. Dad's side of the family is Ilocano and Mom's side is from Oas, Albay (Bicol). My Dad's youngest brother emigrated to Canada where my cousins were born (Winnipeg, MB). Looking forward to more of your vlogs! 🙂
Great video. We were looking for some Bacolog vlogs, where I can show to my husband before I bring him back to our hometown. This is one great video showing how warm bacoleños are. On your next visit, try going around Negros, soo much to see ❤ all the best from 🇳🇿
So cool going back to your hometown 👍. The microphone is doing so much hard work behind the scenes, I appreciate you recognizing it with some airtime 😂

Nice Nicko, visiting Bacolod, Im from Bacolod also,i stay in manila. And maybe 35 yrs, i didnt, coming back home, I miss my hometown.God bless both of you.
Hi Nicole & Mico, I just stumbled upon your vlog and got interested about your "coming to Bacolod" moment with your wife. I wish you more fun moments as you trace back to your roots. More power and God bless you more...your new Pinoy subscriber from Toronto
we should all reconnect to our cultural heritage, and each country should have a program, like the Philippines to welcome pack expats to reconnect to their culture of the ancestry and for those countries that have political issues with other countries of the world should allow a visits program without prejudice... so much of this planet is so culturally unknown...thanks again for showing parts of our world....have fun and be safe....
i just stumbled to your youtube and i first saw your chicken inasal in manokan country and cansi in sharyns, always watched vlogger featuring phils and bacolod never knew you are from bacolod, the city of smiles and i saw some familiar faces too some are co workers, bacolod is one of the humble city in the phils. one of the safest too and we welcome everyone to come one, hope you enjoy your stay guys
Very nice.. next time if you ever think to visit Bacolod again try on the 3rd week of October to experience MassKara festival.. good luck 👍 and God bless 🤞
Damn! I am having an afternoon of depression when i stumbled upon this vlog! Thanks to UA-cam algo for suggesting YOU! You guys are fun to watch! Cheers!
Enjoy the seafoods and chicken inasal in Bacolod! And don't forget the piaya! There's a place where you can order freshly cooked piaya. Just ask around.
Welcome home in the philippines, even you are pilipino, why because you miss the philippines for 15 yrs many changes, explore the beauty of your town and some other visayass tegion like cebu, iloilo, siargao, coron in palawan.
I was in Halifax for 2 years working one of the shipyard but sad to say I left due to the weather condition and continue my journey working onboard offshore drilling rig. God bless you both.
Omg that's why the place is familiar to me as well it's because we are also nieghbor i remember u miko and your yaya whos always shouting calling your name mikooooooo lol
Bacolod is known to be a place of the rich, because that area is once known as the no. producer of sugar in the world particularly in the 1920's, it said that the place has more luxury cars than hollywood during its prime, they send their children to american and european schools, while youre there look for the ancestral houses of the old rich, some family, names are still there, the Yulo's, Ledesma, Lacson, Valderama are some of the family names that are from Bacolod. The ruin the you visited is one example.
I am wondering why inspite of the fact that you grow until your adolescent age age in the Philippines and you cant speak and understand filipino language

Wow that's amazing what are the odds! Yes Bacolod was such a great city! I loved how I could show the place to Nicole 😊 thank you for watching
What a very special experience! Thanks for sharing! So sweet!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I can’t believe you are from Bacolod too! Recently took my partner to meet my whole family as well and boy has it changed! We will be doing a 3 month euro trip and your packing videos have been so helpful! Happy Travels!
Oh wow that's so cool! Have the most amazing time on your Euro trip!!
Wow... Very special experience....very thank you🎉
Love your videos guys!
On your next visit, try going around Negros, soo much to see ❤ all the best from 🇳🇿
Nicole and Mico -- That was fantastic. Thank you for the possibility. Left when I was 9. Now I'm 59, and haven't been back.
So glad you enjoyed the video! If you decide to go back one day we hope you enjoy reconnecting with people as much as we have 😊
wow, those interactions was just beautiful❤
Thank you 😊
So cool going back to your hometown 👍. The microphone is doing so much hard work behind the scenes, I appreciate you recognizing it with some airtime 😂
Haha we thought it was pretty funny the first time we saw it float around like that 🤣

What a coincidence! Thanks for watching 😁
we should all reconnect to our cultural heritage, and each country should have a program, like the Philippines to welcome pack expats to reconnect to their culture of the ancestry and for those countries that have political issues with other countries of the world should allow a visits program without prejudice... so much of this planet is so culturally unknown...thanks again for showing parts of our world....have fun and be safe....
Agreed! We have so much to learn. That sounds like a cool idea!

Wow I never knew this. There's so much history in Bacolod and I feel like we just scratched the surface. Very cool!
malipayun nga pag balik sa bacolod mik! kabay pa nga nalipay kamo ni nicole sa pag bisita nyu diri sa bacolod!ahahahahaha

Yes I'm really thinking about it now
Hope you'll learn your native language soon
I'm trying my best! I hope it pick it up soon!
I am wondering why inspite of the fact that you grow until your adolescent age age in the Philippines and you cant speak and understand filipino language
Mico actually only lived in the Philippines until he was 6. He went back for a 1 month visit at age 16 but that is all 😁
Boring masyado
