Guys... do you have any idea why Israel stagnated in place 20 in the Odds? I thought we're going to jump to Top 3! I can't explain this logically 😣
No idea, but the bookies is a really contentious area. It really irks me that countries who haven't released a song are even in the rankings, it's basing it on everything other than the songs themselves. It also, I feel, has an impact on the way things will go, as if someone hears that a song is tipped to do well by the bookies, then they will subconsciously react more positively to it. I tend to avoid it entirely, and just wait to see what happens in reality. It's much more interesting to see how well the songs are doing in terms of views, and views of reaction videos, as well as on our channel we can see where the views are coming from geographically. So, a country may get lots of views on our reactions, but if the majority of those views are from the country itself it doesn't necessarily mean that anyone outside of the country is that interested. The stats are always fun to see!

@@viderethevaccinatorfromhol7536 I disagree. You may not like it, or the sound, but there's a lot of good production and composition in this song; there is a huge amount of effort into making this sound distinct and cohesive, and many of the other songs this year are lacking some musical identity.

I wanted Rakata or Roots to win.. WHY ISRAEL?!? WHY?!? 😭💔
Rakata did not look good last night on stage. It's unfair because these types of songs can either shine through staging and a dance choreography or die if it is not done right. At the NF there is not enough time and budget to put on a polished live performance. But this is a unique choice. You have Amaharic and Ethiopian shoulder dancing live at the ESC for the first time and it is a lot of fun.
Rakata: Fuego 2.0 and Roots: Toy 2.0, so Feker Libi is a good choice 🇮🇱

While it's true older Ethiopian immigrants have a very distinct accent, since Eden was born in Israel she actually doesn't have an accent when speaking Hebrew. Eden's mother does have it though
Just like old mizrahim and old ashkenazim who have another accents while young Israeli people have an Israeli accent

Hi I'm from Israel, I'm going to make mistakes here because I'm not the best in English but no matter, it is really exciting that someone outside of Israel is talking about Eden. In short, it was really cool to watch you, and I didn't understand everything you said in the video, but I understood the majority is fine, interesting if you understood what she said in Hebrew or what Hebrew letters look like. I really like Eden she is very professional she won 2 xfactor competitions and next star. Don't like the song at all. Specifically in her vocal song is less present because of the musical style of the song it is less eden, but she kills it because it is a talent. Just for example, you will hear some of the performance of the other songs and see how well her voice is. But her performance is excellent and lots of fun so it's an amazing performance despite my opinion on the song. The most important thing I have to say about Eden is that it needs appreciation, why? She appears in a sequence of 4 songs, half of which is a lot of dance and then comes the last song. Still sounds excellent with excellent energies. She performed with Fucking 4 songs, one ballad, two dance rhythms, third dance rhythms, fourth dance rhythms. Full of dancing and lots of singing. She manages to dance and sing together which is difficult. Well done to her.

roots was more interesting live , especially with the Looper girl during the drops but , this song is very catchy , unique , brings out different cultures whuch represent her and the staging really can't go wrong . I just hope they give her an extra high note and make sure that she moves just a bit more
Nobody won Eurovision in yellow .... they have to change it. The composer of that song was Idan Raichel :) My favourite israeli singer.

The maka la ku ma de part you were saying thats not hebrew and is amharic is actually not amharic. Its a made up language doron madalie made 😂makes since since he also wrote netta's toy and it also has made up words after the "ah ah ah ani lo booba" part which is hebrew, she says random gibbrish words. The amharic part of this song is the first sentence she opens the song with(and closes with), (and the song name of course)

She has a great voice but ,the only complaint is that this song does not show it off. I hope they could change the song a bit or at least do something a bit different to showcase her voice a bit more . Eden said in an interview that they will bring out her voice more because that is what she want's.
You're right. I also think of it as an Israeli. Eden has an amazing voice. It does not stop her from singing songs with crazy ups, such as Beyonce, Adele, Siya and more. She sings crazy. The refrain in the song is a little "weak" and does not emphasize the vocal abilities it has and it is a shame and sad.

For me, personally, it wouldn't make any difference how I heard it a song the first time, as I will know whether I like it or not based on the overall sound, not on how well I can hear each layer of percussion. 1. She actually has no accent in Hebrew, and I don't know if the accent she has in English is "African" or just Israeli 🤷
2. I'd also love to see your reactions to the other songs that were competing - "Roots" and "Rakata" (though I know it's impossible to listen to every single contestant or song 😅). I still can't decide which one should have won 😂 And seeing the live performances was much better than just the studio versions.
I like this one, especially the mix of languages and all that, but still there's something missing, maybe it was the song itself or maybe the performance and staging. I think they must improve it, especially her dancing which was a bit awkward (she might not be a dancer but she definitely proved she can dance very well, and that's a big plus for this song!)
In English I could hear her African roots, and I love the fusion of languages! It's so fun to hear! The staging here was nice, but pretty open to being changed and interpreted in a really cool way. We are sure this will do well!
I totally agree! The only problem I have with song is the keyboard in the chorus part.. Except for that, it's a total banger ;)
toy you are right, the chorus in english is lacking must be revamped. i would change it completely and it will be excellent entry. its a good song for big stage, will come alive much more

She said only a few time- Ani ohavet otach = I love you at hebrew , but most of the time she speak her langauge.
It's more like, most of the time she sang in English, and a couple of phrases in Amharic and Hebrew.

@@sabaideemai1 Not sure who Hobi is but Hovi Star was Israel's entry for 2016 and I think he was the best entry for the last 10 years. Have a listen to his song, always always gives me a tingle at the back of my neck when he reaches the high notes of his song and the whole place erupts in stars and sparks - have a look and see.
