Bjarne, 40 years ago, I logged for two winters on the east coast. Cut Maple, Oak, Ash, and Cherry trees around the outskirts of the Catskill Mountains of NY. Watching you brings back memories and makes me realize how little I actually knew about felling trees. I'm almost 60 now and think it would be fun to try falling one of those huge cedars. One of the easy ones on flat ground like the last one in this video. You make it look so easy. You are definitely a master at what you do. Love your videos, stay safe, keep up the great work.

@user-vy5sy8yq6n if it is shit that is coming out of a hole, better off plugging it up.

East coast hardwoods are a totally different animal.
Most of the fatality’s I am aware of were from Red Alder.
I am ok with never cutting that again ever.

@user-vy5sy8yq6n agreed, I was teenager working for a friend's father. That is why I said, Bjarne made me realize how little I knew about cutting trees.

That false start to a back cut makes it harder to wedge as it absorbs the lift without lifting the tree.

Why it is that some cases it is fine to cut deeper to the tree but in the sme looking situation y use one to three wedges rather that another half inch of cut???
