Thank you for joining us on this crazy journey! Our family- Kate and Marius plus our four kids, have always enjoyed living a homemade life whenever possible. Moving 1000miles north in 2017 to Northern BC, Canada upped our game even more. We live on a 34 acre homestead and get a kick out of things like raising our own meat, dairy and vegetables. Theres plenty of failures, you’ll be sure to see those here too. We’re a homeschooling family who believes life is the best teacher but we do hit the books in winter. You can find lots of real life confessions, recipes, how to’s and “The Schat Show”. Family health, natural health, cooking, natural food, whole food, recipes, parenting, kids, children, babies, faith, family life, work life balance, survival, wildcraft, keeping a family milk cow, home dairy, chickens, eggs, meat chickens, raising meat, raising pigs, fencing, dogs, cats, garden, gardening, winter gardening, short season gardening, northern living, life in winter, outdoor adventure, nature study, plant identification, rural living, food preparation, heating with wood, firewood, child training, homeschooling are all topics you will find here

I’m so glad you're here, I hope you stick around! - Фільми й анімація
I was in a hurry and brought whole bean Starbucks coffee on clearance thinking it was ground coffee. Reading was obviously not on my to do list that day! When I ran out of ground coffee and opened the bag my mouth fell open. My first thought was can I put this in a blender or am I crazy?! As usual when I need answers, I came to UA-cam and there you and your kids were letting me know YES I CAN! Thank you! ♥️
Absolutely adorable little girl, how blessed you are to have her. She will grow up faster than you can imagine.
Thank you. Glad I didn't have to go out and drop money on a coffee grinder when I already have a blender!
Glad I could help!
This was so cute, thanks for the tip! Saved me 20 bucks on buying a grinder when I have a perfectly fine blender.
And isn't the app free? I hate paying for grinders too.
Same here!
Such adorable children. Thank you for sharing your information. Couldn't remember if it was possible to use my vintage Oster blender. Turns out I can!
I love your two beautiful helpers 🥰
Once again a practical tip that I wouldn't have thought to try. You are such a wealth of knowledge!
Thank you!!
Freya is learning well from her momma... pretty soon she's gonna have a vlog of her own!!😊
You made my day!! Thank you! I was using the wrong blade all along..
That lil girl is so adorable! You are one of the most blessed mommies in the world!! I love that little kid and it’s beautiful to see how much you love her❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!!
Ok... seriously... MIND BLOWN🤯‼ Gonna have to give this a go with my Blendtec‼Thanks, Sweetums!
Yes I used to do it in my blendtec!!
Watched a few coffee grinding videos and this one was the best! Loved the color commentary by the kiddos.
Awesome! Thank you!
Adorable!!!!! I can’t live this video enough 💗
Your kids are so adorable I was really waiting for you to ask her how does the coffee smell
Omg your babygirl is just the cutest 😂 💞 thank you for this video so helpful
You're so welcome!
Girl you just saved my life! ❤😂
Freya is adorable!
She is and she knows it!
Such a great idea!
It really is!
Great video and great information
Your daughter is a star ❤🎉
That was helpful ❤️
You've got a nice co-host in your video! Freya is cute plus the special participation of the baby! Will grind my coffee tomorrow with my blender! Thanks!
Have fun! Was so freeing to know I could get rid of my coffee grinder haha
It's an old video but I love you❤❤❤ thank you so much!!!!!
Omg thank 😊 you so so much I didn't have to go back to Costco to grind my coffee you save my life lol ...😉
Awesome!
Thank you!
My little walmart personal blender did the trick!
She’s so adorable🥰
thank you!
Ooooo. I love your video. It's perfect. Was that Me and My Uncle playing in the background?
Thank you very much ❤
My bean grinder broke this morning so here I am!
Thank you very much for the info, I am not going buy another coffee grinder. At least now. Thank you
Your daughter is Soo funny!! She will definitely work at a Coffee Shop in here teens!! Thanks for the info, saves me some cash!!
That's pretty funny! You might be right.
Tq for the Great video dear, save my money!
@0:08 Worked like a charm! Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Freja! Spokesmodel yes!
I would recommend you to grind a small portion of coffee at a time, like grind that much which can last you a week. Don't store ground coffee for too long.
It's not funny because I accidentally bought whole beans 😂
Omg me too! Lol
@@karlametro6638 same here!!! ☺️
This is exactly why I’m watching this video right now😂
hey same!😹
Me too 😁
1) Excellent tip for those of us who forgot we have a blender 🙄
2) Your assistant is adorable!
1)Glad it was helpful!
2) I agree!
Now, why didn’t you just get Freya to do the video to begin with? She’s going to be stealing your job soon, as well as your coffee.
I also love that she applied the word “rotates” to grinding coffee. It suggests a solid understanding of the concept, not just the word as a synonym, which as a parent and a word nerd is always exciting for me to see.
I'm fairly certain my children will be taking over my youtube channel before I know it
Can I move in with you guys? Such a lovely bunch of joyful characters you all are. Off to find my blender and my Columbian black beans. I didn't think the blender would work that well.
Hello Thank you for the video. I wonder if the ground coffee feels hot once grounded and if it is possible to grind a single portion only
The ground coffee isn't hot. Grinding a single portion might be annoying in a large blender. Thrift stores often have those small coffee grinders.
Thank you very much for your response!
So if I wanted to use it in a kuerig? Which would I grind? Fine or coarse? I have the filter cup attachments. Just need to know.
Not sure as I've never used a kuerig.
Was about to buy a grinder. Glad I found this since I have a blender!
My husband just got me a vitamix for my birthday and I ground coffee in it the other day. He thought I was abusing my machine lol
No! I even looked it up and it was on the website
I need to grind mine's
Many commenters on Reddit wrote I can’t grind in a blender because I’d get a super inconsistent grind, with some beans untouched and others powder fine…So I looked up a video. Thank you. Seems it works just fine after-all. Liars 😂
Mmmmm that has never been a problem for us. Glad you tried it in spite of the "liars" hahahaha
So grinding coffee beans with a blender is not damaging the blender knives?
Not that I’ve noticed.
Kid: “that’s how you grind coffee in a blender”
Me: word 🫡
How many folks here are like me who accidentally bought coffee beans and don’t wanna waste it? 😂
i like you way 👍
And ps lol your kids are tooo cute!!!
Can I grind it finely for espresso?
You can grind it as fine as you would like
I bought a Starbucks whole bean packet. I only have a ninja coffee maker. So I'm going to try in blender
May I know it if you have tried it already?
@@mjii3444 yessss it does. Just blend it real good
For how long do I grind it for?
Until you get the desired grind for your coffee maker.
@@VenisonforDinner Thank you, got some delicious coffee for the week. I enjoy your content by the way its simple and honest. Awesome children they are adorable.☕
Does the oil make your food taste like coffee on the next use
I've never experienced it
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
she is so cute ♥️
She’s so cute 🥰
Is it good for sperso?
Not sure what sperso is.
There's a budding vlogger there.
Great for a blender with a good warranty like Vitamix. I guarantee you that's putting more wear on the motor, not to mention the blades. But hey, VM will give you a new motor if/when it burns out! Just don't tell them you were using it to grind coffee! lol Also you should consider how much heat is being generated in the grounds, how do they feel when you put your fingers in? Too much heat with grinding will change the character of the coffee for the worse, they've already been roasted to an optimal level, you are potentially adding enough heat to change the chemistry further. The good coffee grinders are actually slower, to prevent too much heat.
I suppose all of the above could be true, but we haven't found that to be true for us.
38,000 people bought whole beans by accident. ✋️
Oops! hopefully you've got a blender!
cute kid
What a cutie she is .
