These interviews are riveting ,.. and funny and I cant stop watching , what a lovely man , Russell Oxford. Gary Jubelin so interesting and a great interviewer,. love it.
Fascinating. Detective Oxford's demeanour and affability are a perfect foil for his intuition, assessment, instinct and determination. I can't imagine the horror that dances through his memory day after day but I am immensely glad of, and proudly grateful for his dedication and skill.👍😘🤗🥳
Great podcast, one small piece of feedback, let the guests finish their sentences and stories. There's a bit too much of you cutting them off to ask the next question or probe within the question. Timing is everything and these stories are absolutely fascinating, please keep doing these podcasts
Was thinking the same thing. I’ve just started to listen to these podcasts, and loved them. However…. Can I encourage you to slow down from cutting in and presuming what the interviewee is going to say 🤨. Ask a question, ease back and let the people freely talk. Thanks mate… love the podcasts whilst being an ex cop myself.
Overkill the Americans call it, when you go beyond just killing into abuse of a corpse post mortem frenzy, the talking of the life has not satisfied this person so they keep going. Explosive rage. Sadistic behaviour. I remember this well. The case I mean.
We let the cops lie in Canada as well. It leads to innocent people going to jail all the time. However that is small potatoes compared to the fact that the RCMP do "Mr. Big Stings" and that is straight up entrapment!
Yeh well maybe so? But it worked over here in Oz🇦🇺 When the Queensland Police used it to catch a POS peadophile kid killer called Brett Cowan who abducted raped killed & buried a kid called Daniel Morcombe in 2003 & they new it was him but had no proof so in 2011 they used the Mr Big sting 🐝 on him.. & Brett having no friends & brains 🧠🔁💩 he fell for it hook line & sinker & admitted to it all & now he’s rotting in a concrete & steel cell till the day he dies… & some happy 😃 news a while back a prisoner poured boiling water & baby oil all over him & melted his skin & tattoos off his neck, arms, chest & back LOL 😂
it was a sting based on the canadian "Mr Big:sting. that finally brought one of Australia's worst crims to Justice.search for Daniel Morecomb killer, in fact here it is ua-cam.com/video/O3r41VR84y8/v-deo.html You can shove your straight up entrapment , straight up your jacksie.. Lying to crims is fine, liying to Courts however is not

Thanks for your insight into these crimes.
Fascinating insights into caring policing. It strikes hope into me to know you’ve both shaped the police force.

I hope Detective Chief Inspector Russell Oxford covers Roger Rogerson's killing of Warren Lanfranchi.
It's fun watching Russell's jacket right shoulder dry during the interview. Otherwise, a great insight into forensic investigation.

I think Gary Jubelin must be one of the most incompetent cops ever. No wonder they wanted to get rid of him.
