Amazing podcast. Russell is still so passionate about his victims & their families even to this day being retired. NSW Police were blessed to have this man lead them, empathetic and humble.

Russell Oxford is so excited just talking about this crime. He does this for a living. It sounds better than being on the wrong side. He and Gary are both so excited about the whole saga. Thanks boys! You are both good blokes.

That was enthralling Gary and Russell. I met Russell a couple of times back in the day and always had respect for his ability as an investigator. I worked with McNamara at Kings Cross, and he should have been locked up years ago. Congratulations to Russell and his team for building an air tight brief that took two killers off the streets. All the best in retirement Russell.

My absolute favourite podcast episode by far out of all the podcasts I have listened too.
It breaks my heart that Det Insp Oxford did not get the opportunity to enjoy his retirement with his wife. After all the hard work and good he did for people and the community, he was robbed of that.
I hope that he goes on to write a memoir or joins Gary on more episodes or collaborate on a new venture together!

I'm going to miss Russ, this has been so amazing. He has been on so many high profile cases it's incredible. I used to love the English detective shoe called inspector Morse, the original one. Russ could have a whole tv series about his career and it would be amazing to see a real AUSTRALIAN true crime show. I'm sad to see him go. Top bloke.

It’s called humanity, the extension of respect, acknowledging shared experience and the offer of human touch. The touch not necessarily tactile, but heartfelt. That’s the Aussie spirit. It’s takes exceptional people or extraordinary circumstances.
You both have worked with humanity and Integrity, it’s beautiful to hear.

Really enjoyed listening, I'm a 53 years old English man and even I've heard of Rogerson at the other side of the world,, I've actually heard of macnamara as well but only through watching alot of videos & podcasts etc about Aussie crime but not for being such a bent corrupt copper like Rogerson, Rogerson will be too old to have any crims inside he's arrested and are in prison due to him, Macnamara must be in what we in the UK call rule 47 protection, for child killers killers and rapists and coppers , infact wouldn't want to be either of them being ex coppers , was Rogerson a Crim that had infultrated the police ?.

I can’t believe how much evidence use received against him and still thought that he would not be convicted given if it was a foreigner it would not be the case of you having to get that much info in getting a guilty verdict and having a solid case in your eyes and in the system
Over the years I’ve just seen personal
That your background and where you’re from is going to be your destiny in how hard it is to receive a fair and just trial and sentencing comparisons is second to none
    Nevertheless good yarn
