Amazing podcast. Russell is still so passionate about his victims & their families even to this day being retired. NSW Police were blessed to have this man lead them, empathetic and humble.
Russell Oxford is so excited just talking about this crime. He does this for a living. It sounds better than being on the wrong side. He and Gary are both so excited about the whole saga. Thanks boys! You are both good blokes.
That was enthralling Gary and Russell. I met Russell a couple of times back in the day and always had respect for his ability as an investigator. I worked with McNamara at Kings Cross, and he should have been locked up years ago. Congratulations to Russell and his team for building an air tight brief that took two killers off the streets. All the best in retirement Russell.
My absolute favourite podcast episode by far out of all the podcasts I have listened too. It breaks my heart that Det Insp Oxford did not get the opportunity to enjoy his retirement with his wife. After all the hard work and good he did for people and the community, he was robbed of that. I hope that he goes on to write a memoir or joins Gary on more episodes or collaborate on a new venture together!
Gary an Russell, you both have my respect, l understand the importance of your sacrifice to the public ,in your careers you both put personal needs, in the back ground, your family an friends also must be thanked as well ,for put up with any ptsd ,that would still raises it head from time to time, an in closing the 4 episodes were eye opening thank you again.
I'm going to miss Russ, this has been so amazing. He has been on so many high profile cases it's incredible. I used to love the English detective shoe called inspector Morse, the original one. Russ could have a whole tv series about his career and it would be amazing to see a real AUSTRALIAN true crime show. I'm sad to see him go. Top bloke.
It’s called humanity, the extension of respect, acknowledging shared experience and the offer of human touch. The touch not necessarily tactile, but heartfelt. That’s the Aussie spirit. It’s takes exceptional people or extraordinary circumstances. You both have worked with humanity and Integrity, it’s beautiful to hear.
Tremendous amount of respect to both of you,and thank you both for all the hard work you put into your careers to help keep us safe and get the bad apples out of our community. I would love to buy you both a cold one (or twenty😊)sometime.
Gary, would you be interested in interviewing police that have jut been discharged in regards to bullying in the police force and how nothing get done as it’s mates investigating mates?
Really enjoyed listening, I'm a 53 years old English man and even I've heard of Rogerson at the other side of the world,, I've actually heard of macnamara as well but only through watching alot of videos & podcasts etc about Aussie crime but not for being such a bent corrupt copper like Rogerson, Rogerson will be too old to have any crims inside he's arrested and are in prison due to him, Macnamara must be in what we in the UK call rule 47 protection, for child killers killers and rapists and coppers , infact wouldn't want to be either of them being ex coppers , was Rogerson a Crim that had infultrated the police ?.
Wow! amazing stuff, what a legend, please can we have more, could listen to him all day. Ken Mckay, Charlie ? as well, Gary can you get them back. Do all cops and baddies live in Cronulla?
Gary needs to explain why he gave the foster father a copy of his first interview, half an hour before he gave the second interview. Shocking police work Gary.
I can’t believe how much evidence use received against him and still thought that he would not be convicted given if it was a foreigner it would not be the case of you having to get that much info in getting a guilty verdict and having a solid case in your eyes and in the system Over the years I’ve just seen personal That your background and where you’re from is going to be your destiny in how hard it is to receive a fair and just trial and sentencing comparisons is second to none Nevertheless good yarn

😂😂❤
How was Rogerson let run amok for so long?
My absolute favourite podcast episode by far out of all the podcasts I have listened too.

I want to be a detective and "break out the white board"!! you two are the best .
I Loved the Excitement,
When Gary says- "I Wanta Break Out the Whiteboard."‼️
Such a Privilege Hearing these 2 Legendary Detectives.😌
I could listen to this guy for 50 episodes. Amazing career.
The best interviews you've done are with gold old coppers like Russell.
Detective explained everything so clearly left you in no doubt
Gary, once again an insightful interview with one of best old school orginal coppers in Russell.
Well done.
Such compelling listening, Russell, was so articulate.
Two Beautiful gentlemen is the same room, how rare! I was captivated the entire time, Thank you so much!
Russell was one of the finest gentlemen I met in the cops.

Gary, would you be interested in interviewing police that have jut been discharged in regards to bullying in the police force and how nothing get done as it’s mates investigating mates?
This is really good I cant stop listening you should make some movies of this information like Mr oxford
What a great podcast you were both great detectives and I am sure you are both sadly missed by your mates in the force
Thank u guys looking forward to this ✌❤ frm the UK
This podcast is very interesting. Made me cry for the first part. 👍
I’m trying to image “””how many honest police celebrated ‘THE DOGERS ‘ final demise’ 🔫
And who was celebrating it’
great interview
Sarah Spiers and family, needs your help.

He joined the cops young and became corrupt and he was very competent at it.
Rogersons 'gait' : it's kinda like a goanna with 2 broken hips haha .
Gary Javelin is the MAN
Little things don't mean a lot.
Little things mean everything
Wow! amazing stuff, what a legend, please can we have more, could listen to him all day.
Ken Mckay, Charlie ? as well, Gary can you get them back.
Do all cops and baddies live in Cronulla?
Gary needs to explain why he gave the foster father a copy of his first interview, half an hour before he gave the second interview. Shocking police work Gary.
That was pure evil what they did.
You have to write books on these cases.
If not for the body being found they would have walked
That’s where McNamarra wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. He went out to sea and dumped the body not enough weights Roger would have known that.
Yeh jeez perhaps eh.
People smeared faecal materials onto Gary Jubelow's car. Other people said nasty things and mouthed obscenities to the camera.
Gary Javelin
What for
they are not judge jury and excecutioner
Even id put my hands up if u done a 4 hour interview on me. 😆😆
I can’t believe how much evidence use received against him and still thought that he would not be convicted given if it was a foreigner it would not be the case of you having to get that much info in getting a guilty verdict and having a solid case in your eyes and in the system
Over the years I’ve just seen personal
That your background and where you’re from is going to be your destiny in how hard it is to receive a fair and just trial and sentencing comparisons is second to none
Nevertheless good yarn
Gary I want my drugs back
All of the books they wrote
Were a sick joke’
Deluded at its best

The master and one of his many puppets.
