- The first serious song we've heard from EC! Don't get me wrong though, even though they have some hilarious videos, the songs are very seriously good! We are floored by the diversity this band has dynamically! It is insane!!!

They are great musicians! Especially to be so silly and be able to be serious.
It is interesting, that they chose Hate/Love as the title of their song. There actually is a word in German for that, it is Hassliebe. Where you can not stop loving someone you dispise/hate.

Saw one of the very first live performances of Crystals (during their second round of the We Are The Mess Tour back in 2014 in Oberhausen - my first EC-gig + we got both singers for an interview before they went on stage) and I fell in love with the song instantly. That jumpy bridge and awesome break (which always feels like it has a Lamb Of God-vibe to me)…it gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. 😁❤️🤘🏻

@@ThunderRooster Yes they did Nico is great! However, sushi is a beast himself. So ready for you guys to hear him on Crystals. Nico isn’t much of a screamer. Sushi and Kevin’s screams sounded amazing together. Nice Boi is another one with Sushi. Decently heavy/serious as well. You guys should consider checking out Sushi’s new project called Ghost Kid as well 🤘🏼

Unfortunately my friends dont like this type of music so im jamming out to it on my own. I really love how hard their older songs were, especially Crystals has me mesmerized by the clean vocals cutting through all of the instrumental madness around them
Oh and i would really recommend you guys to listen to Brothers of Metal, perahaps to start off with Prophecy of Ragnarök, Hel, or if you want a fun one The Mead Song.

Another awesome band you could check out is "Ad Infinitum" - a metal band with a female vocalist who does clean and harsh vocals. They have a few new videos out and end of October they'll launch their second album.

My favourite song from Eskimo Callboy is "2 fat 2 furious" - unfortunatelly it's kind of an underdog in terms of EC songs and there's only one lyric video on UA-cam (still funny af). So far out of all the EC reaction videos I've watched, I like yours the most. If you'd be able to react to that specific song, I'd be eternally grateful. Keep rocking guys.

Eskimo Callboy is one of my favourite bands ever. Another band I love is The Warning, 3 sisters from Mexico maybe you like to check them out as well. Choke and evolve are their newest songs but it's important to watch their older stuff as well because they started very young. One song every tractor has to go through is pisces by jinjer. Babymetal is a band that's is always worth a reaction as well i recommend starting with gimme chocolate. Love you guys

It's really always fun to watch you guys on your journey through the aspects of the "Eskimo Callboy" music world. I'm really looking forward to next week, even though I think that Gestört aber Geil will be by far the worst version and video of Hypa Hypa - it will be even more interesting to see how you "cope" with the extreme increase in quality in the next versions ;)
Since you keep asking for suggestions - I would be really happy about "Blind Guardian - The Bard's Song & Valhalla - Live at Wacken Open Air 2016" ( watch?v=i-IcX_bccFc 9 ) as a change on the Eskimo Callboy journey - on the one hand because it brings pure goosebumps with a good impression of the Wacken festival, but also hints at the influence on the creation of music by Evanescene, Nightwish and other Opera Metal / Symphonic Metal performers. And with Nightwish you already have the Pandora's box... I mean the Opera Metal box, of course. If you like to follow this direction, then it would be an honor for me to see you experiencing the roots of this music. Especially with "Lacrimosa Stolzes Herz HD Video Official" watch?v=M5Q6L5ldtRo or also "Lacrimosa - Ich bin der brennende Komet (Live)" watch?v=jXM5M1uu0w - a recording from 2007 in Hong Kong and my personal favorite song of Lacrimosa. Of course then "THERION - To Mega Therion (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)" watch?v=2ZQ0BsNi24A shouldn't be missing either, as both bands are definitely the pioneers of Symphony Metal.
I have already written something about Theatre Of Tragedy, who existed before Evanscene and Nightwish and who are also pioneers in the "Beauty and the Beast" sound. But that would take me too far, but I would like to leave some links/info under a Lacrimosa or Therion video, if you are interested.
We definitely have a lot to learn going down that rabbit hole! As for the Hypa Hypa covers, you are correct. We did the remix last night. I am glad we did the poll for people to rank them for our watching order.

Awesome reaction you guys. Crystals is definitively the way to go, if you want to listen to another heavy/serious song. Also please check out the band Heaven Shall Burn. Their song Endzeit will knock your socks off and the song Voice of the Voiceless is an absolute banger for a wall of death. The song Übermacht is also highly recommenced.

It will be a lot of fun, we recorded the remix one last night.
A lot of people said that the chorus in this one is a bit on the cheap side, which may be true. But after they departed from their old singer Sebastian “Sushi” Biesler, this song has basically been the “showcase” for their new singer Nico. So it has been the first serious song in the new band constellation up to this day. I think that’s the reason why Kevin held back with the typical screamo / growling elements in this one. If you like to see more “serious” (they’ve always been a little bit on the fun side) stuff, you may or may not want to check out “Crystals”, “We are the mess” or “Nice boy”. The last one is actually a little bit disturbing to a certain degree. But remember that the latter ones are with their old singer Sushi.

Callejon may be difficult though, as they only do German lyrics which makes them kinda special in this genre. They also have a side project going on called Kallejon where they cover German Pop- and Hip-Hop music, so don’t get too confused with them. The very first album (almost 15 years old by now) is called Callejon Willkommen im Beerdigungscafe. You won’t find it on Spotify but a lot of people uploaded it to UA-cam and you should definitely check it out. They departed from that style after their debut album but it is definitely almost 30 minutes of high quality metalcore.
