this is literally one of my main concerns & I’m so happy you addressed this! since school has been online, i’ve been shy to approach the chapter at my hbcu so I usually talk to the ones I see in my local area who didn’t attend my school. I’m still catching up on your videos but are recommendation letters only for undergrad chapters or for both undergrad and grad chapters? Also, other than people In the org/chapter, can I ask other folks for the recommendation letter?
Recommendation letters are required for all membership candidates. Requirements are based on the the organization’s preferences

If one of the letters of recommendation has to be from a member, how would I get it if I don’t know any members?
Check out my videos this topic. Getting to know the members is important before applying for membership. Most chapter members are not willing to recommend people that they do not know.
As a upcoming second semester freshman, how soon is too soon to ask for recommendations?
