I sang this for my singing exam for the London school of music and got a distinction!!! I got 95/100 and I’m so proud of myself! I’m 15 and have been singing for 6 years and this is by far the most emotional song I’ve sang, if brought my grandpa into tears and it was beautiful. I’m in love with this song. I made my dad mum grand parents and music teacher cry and even my brother!

Yep. Well, i also find weird is that even when I surrounded by the people who I love (and that I told how I feel everyday), I feel like I'm alone all the time. The summer holidays practically ruined me this year. (I live in the UK so the holidays are still going or have just finished) my one- half term- is longer because my school is changing to a new school. (8 weeks instead of 6) I feel like my depression thing is getting much worse then ever before. I personally like school though so I believe that school will save me. What saved you? P.s. I will never get out of my depression thing simply because it a part of me really. I know that only I understand what is wrong with me. My mum knows half of it but not enough for her to say 'it's alright.' Because for me, I will never be enough. My friend feels the same way and I feel selfish for just being there to listen to her problems. I feel like I am the reason everyone is getting sadder. I feel as if everyone is pitying me because I'm depressed. I feel like I am always relying on my family and friends to make me smile again. I even wanted to kill myself on many occasions. But I know that's wrong . But I'm too weak to not listen to the voice that hugged me when I was alone. My thoughts are toxic, I don't want you to worry about me of all people. You know how people say you should talk to someone if you feel depressed or anything along those lines? WELL, I was willing to speak. But in grade 7 I overheard my friends talking about how I was attention seeking and always needed to be the center of attention. It's been almost 2 years since the first time I overheard them, and I've been in depression for the majority of it, but nobody knows that. I stay quiet, and rarely ever speak about that kind of thing. Someone knew how they treated me and asked me why I stayed around them. I said they just didn't know what they were doing was harming me. But they twisted my words and got my trash talking friends against me. Everyone thinks I'm happy, but I'm not. I'm just good at hiding pain. Everyone knows how my friends treat me, and they talk to me about it when I'm not around them. But I just change the subject immediatly cuz I'm scared they're like that other person. I don't trust anyone with how I feel, not even my mom, not even my sister, not even the school therapist, not even the school counciler, not even a therapist my parents can't take me to because they don't know. I know where to leave scars, cuz I know where nobody can see them... Complete strangers seem to understand you and your pain more that people you know irl. The only thing is you may actually know the strangers. And even if you don't, the people around you know how you feel, they just aren't strong enough to show it
It's sad knowing that the people closest to you, are those of whom you cannot trust with your inner self. The anxiety, the trust issues, the depression, it's all so much to deal with. I understand. Even if you cannot talk to anyone, at least you know that there are people out there, who understand you. No matter how it may feel at times, you are most definitely not alone. Although it may not help, that is all I can give to you, kind stranger.
I do the same thing me and .y best friend got into a fight. She said that I cut myself for attention. Almost everyone knows at school. But my family doesn't know. I feel bad that I do this stuff to myself. Even me " best friend" said that I am not confident in myself and that I be someone else for them to love me. I know all these things aren't true although the part where I'm not confident in myself. My mom has seen the cuts but hasn't even asked! Im so sorry😢..I have 3 bestfriends..One of then i have known basically all my life...She got me into doing bad things...But i still love her..Last year she nearly lost her dad and she was so depressed..I felt so bad..She started to self-harm and even tried to commit suicide at one point..She was telling me all these horrifying thoughts...Then a couple years ago when i was leaving primary to go to highschool ( Im 14 now ) I felt so scared for my bestfriend because we were going to different highschools.. And i was not there for her..Then when i joined Year 7 i met an amazing girl who became my bestfriend so quickily! Unfortunately she had a very deep depression..She also tried to commit suicide, started to cut and told me the saddest thoughts ever of how she was feeling. She was getting called a Lesbian because she told our good friend that she was bi sexual and our other friend just told everyone so that made her depression worse..:/ Then i have my other bestfriend who i met in Primary..She doesn’t have depression but her parents really do control her life..She says she’s used to it because usually asian parents are like that..? That is what she said to me..Like forcing her to do piles of work for school she she hardly got any peace and was so stressed..I feel so sad..All 3 of them are sad and i cant help that..Ive already tried but i cant do anything...Hearing the word suicide just makes me so sad.. reminds me of my best friend.. Whenever I hear this song it makes me think of my Step Father and I just sob. He didn't pass away but my mom divorced him when I was a teen and our lives grew apart. He loved me like his own and loved to be around me. He taught me so much and was truly the beat example of christ-like love. He is also the best example of a father I ever had. WELL, I was willing to speak. But in grade 7 I overheard my friends talking about how I was attention seeking and always needed to be the center of attention.
It's been almost 2 years since the first time I overheard them, and I've been in depression for the majority of it, but nobody knows that. I stay quiet, and rarely ever speak about that kind of thing. Someone knew how they treated me and asked me why I stayed around them. I said they just didn't know what they were doing was harming me. But they twisted my words and got my trash talking friends against me. Everyone thinks I'm happy, but I'm not. I'm just good at hiding pain. Everyone knows how my friends treat me, and they talk to me about it when I'm not around them. But I just change the subject immediatly cuz I'm scared they're like that other person. I don't trust anyone with how I feel, not even my mom, not even my sister, not even the school therapist, not even the school counciler, not even a therapist my parents can't take me to because they don't know. I know where to leave scars, cuz I know where nobody can see them...
Complete strangers seem to understand you and your pain more that people you know irl. The only thing is you may actually know the strangers. And even if you don't, the people around you know how you feel, they just aren't strong enough to show it
It's sad knowing that the people closest to you, are those of whom you cannot trust with your inner self. The anxiety, the trust issues, the depression, it's all so much to deal with. I understand. Even if you cannot talk to anyone, at least you know that there are people out there, who understand you. No matter how it may feel at times, you are most definitely not alone. Although it may not help, that is all I can give to you, kind stranger.

Im so sorry😢..I have 3 bestfriends..One of then i have known basically all my life...She got me into doing bad things...But i still love her..Last year she nearly lost her dad and she was so depressed..I felt so bad..She started to self-harm and even tried to commit suicide at one point..She was telling me all these horrifying thoughts...Then a couple years ago when i was leaving primary to go to highschool ( Im 14 now ) I felt so scared for my bestfriend because we were going to different highschools.. And i was not there for her..Then when i joined Year 7 i met an amazing girl who became my bestfriend so quickily! Unfortunately she had a very deep depression..She also tried to commit suicide, started to cut and told me the saddest thoughts ever of how she was feeling. She was getting called a Lesbian because she told our good friend that she was bi sexual and our other friend just told everyone so that made her depression worse..:/ Then i have my other bestfriend who i met in Primary..She doesn’t have depression but her parents really do control her life..She says she’s used to it because usually asian parents are like that..? That is what she said to me..Like forcing her to do piles of work for school she she hardly got any peace and was so stressed..I feel so sad..All 3 of them are sad and i cant help that..Ive already tried but i cant do anything...Hearing the word suicide just makes me so sad.. reminds me of my best friend..

Whenever I hear this song it makes me think of my Step Father and I just sob. He didn't pass away but my mom divorced him when I was a teen and our lives grew apart. He loved me like his own and loved to be around me. He taught me so much and was truly the beat example of christ-like love. He is also the best example of a father I ever had. I miss that time in my life so much. It's the worst thing seeing someone you love become a stranger.
