    Jalen and Alpi were already developing chemistry. Rockets will be fine when Alpi comes back and scary next year when Alpi, Cam Whitmore and Tari Eason all return with the addition of Steven Adams and add in some more young draft capital thanks to the generous NJ Nets. GM Stone hasn't made a questionable draft pick yet. H-town is good. No need for you to get your 'panties in a wad,' who ever you are. LOL

    Have you watched them actually play this year? Jalen through this year has had oppurtunity to handle to rock while sengun plays off ball. Sengun being gone does not make Jalen the great defender he has become in march which has led to tons of transition buckets. Sengun being gone has not resulted in Jalen shooting 50% on catch and shoot 3s vs 30% when he still was getting the SAME looks when sengun was playing. Jalen is just playing better, making better decisions. Lazy convo, next

    • @oceanwaves95
      @oceanwaves95 2 місяці тому +3

      Stop the revisionism my man. Alpi is a post player, the only way for him to be effective is to give him the ball inside the paint, otherwise he's gonna be a liability since he doesn't have an outside shooting. The coaching staff tried to make Jalen as an off ball player to maximise Sengun's passing, that's one of the main reason why Jalen was struggling, he can not find his rhythm.
      Jalen thrives when the ball is in hands, where he can operate freely. He can not do that when Sengun is on the floor since he also needs the ball all the time to be effective. Unless Sengun is willing to play like a Jock Landale type, this combo ain't gonna work.
      Stop pretending that Jalen is suddenly great, he's always capable of doing this, he's just being held back.

      Yes, Jalen showed a great performance against the teams at the bottom of the league. The remaining two good teams were without their most important stars. Jalen was good at this part of the year last season too. What matters is how he plays when it gets serious. He will have the opportunity to prove himself in April. There are real matches. Also, playing with a high percentage does not make a person the leader of the team. Shooting a basket is one thing, managing the game is another.

Worse case scenario Sengun completely defers to Jalen which isnt hard for Sengun. Sengun is a unselfish player who wants to be utilized in a way that benefits the team, not himself. That being said there wont be any trades being made reguarding green or sengun. They are generational talents that anyone would want on there squad period. A center who can pass and create for himself and others as well? Please. Jalen had ample opportunity to score earlier in the season and he just didn't and people were even questioning his shot selection, facts is that Alperun isn't a ball hog and he isn't slow as some people keep trying to suggest. He's methodical but he isn't slow, he has so many chase down blocks. On the other hand Jalen has also elevated his defense.
      The team itself has been playing better for the final stretch of the season it's just unfortunate that Sengun went down early in the streak. Jalen had been averaging 26 a game on efficient shooting before sengun went out. They were 4-1.

      You are right! but in todays NBA does it really matter?Look at Jokic or Luca(This is definetly not a comparison. Sengun and Green are baby yet) are they fast?No. This kid is still young JG is young also. Why give out your nukes when you found your gatling gun?Important thing is winning. Ime will porably find a formula. If not then we will see...

    If you can't play with a passing big-man of Sengun's calabur then you may be more of the problem than the solution! He is only going to get better and he has limitations because he is not athletic, he has already got better masking and even fixing his game to become a better scorer, and I don't know if he will reach the levels of Jokic, but if he doesn't he should get close... Witch means you should be able to play with another big time scorer (if he's efficient) and several more guys that can fill up the scorers sheet.

    As a rockets fan I think it depends on amen thompson, cause when sengun is on the floor then the spacing is worse and if that affects amen thompson's game then maybe it wouldn't be so smart to keep him (of course would need 3-5 frps minimum along with a star player).

    Alpi and Jalen are bomb together. Espn realizes the rockets are becoming to powerful, and with Alpi they’d be unstoppable, so they tryna rig the sheet to keep the rockets down. Green Alpi Jabari are the holy trinity of this rockets generation. All three of them MUST stay.

    Contradicts his own take too much lol “if one becomes average or below average when the other plays, then you need to make decisions” “if you look at the numbers of his stats they drop when they play together” “well Jalen Green needs to dribble dribble dribble” but then changes up and says well I mean he can go in the offseason and work on it, he’s not used to Sengun playing at this level. Exactly why dude is a critic not a GM lol

    Sengun it's too limited of a player to be flexible. It's exactly why they tried to get Brook Lopez at the beginning of the year. You're almost forced to play a certain style with Sengun. He can't shoot meaning no floor spacing. On top of that he's undersized, and not a good rim protector. With Jalen, and the rest of the team has seen in these last 9 games without him it opens things up. They're able to switch everything defensively and play free with more spacing
