Glad to see Rachel is Bach with a new episode. Shout out to Richard Strauss and Heinrich Schutz with the latter being one of the most prolific German composers ever. Word!
What controversy? Salzburg was an independent prince-archbishopric in the Holy Roman Empire at the time Mozart was born - just like Austria was part of the HRE.
A distinction must be made between the various German-speaking states that exist today and "Teutschland" as a geopraphic-cultural term. In this context, it is also understandable that Mozart can be understood as a "German" - in a cultural sense - while at the same time he is a personality who lived on the territory of today's Republic of Austria and can therefore be attributed to it.
It's DW Deutsch, so it seems correct to be German, they have different channels. Shouldn't be needed for people that already speak German, but maybe added for people still learning it.

Mendelssohn and Brahms were the greatest german composers. From Mendelssohn is the Wedding March, world wide known.
und nun noch solch ein Special über einflussreiche deutsche Bands (Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Rammstein ...) 🙂
Rachel is back 😍🙋♂️

Mozart vergessen. Deutscher Komponist, der Beste
Shouldn't there be English subtitles when German is spoken?

Oops, you forgot Mozart.
