@@jesuswithoutreligion Farley and Wilkins are actually quite different. Farley is preaching that a true Christian will have such a love for God that they could never fall away. Wilkins on the other hand, is free grace, and he says that perseverance in the faith is not guaranteed for a saved Christian.
I used to like Farley but after I heard his answer to the question "Can a Christian stop believing and still be saved?" . He said that a true Christian can never stop believing. It's actually Calvinism's perserverance of the saints that teaches this. So I am now putting Farley in the category of false prophet.

    • @jesuswithoutreligion
      @jesuswithoutreligion  2 роки тому

@@mikeha I don't know anything about Wilkins. Regarding your comment about Farley's view on "can a Christian stop believing and still be saved?". Andrew Farley clearly speaks out against Calvinism. He doesn't even remotely agree with their view. You can find multiple videos and audio clips or he says such.
I think you're completing the idea that we don't stop believing as being a flavor of Calvinism. Farley would never push individual selection, and nor would I.
This does not mean we don't act like prodigal sons and stupidly walk away for a period. But we are acknowledging that:
1-God has poured an incorruptible love in us - Eph 6:24
If it is incorruptible, exactly why should we believe we're going to just stop believing one day?
2-God says he has given us new hearts, with new desires - Exk 36:26.
If your old heart is gone and you have a new heart, a new desire, why would we be worried we're gonna wake up one day and no longer desire Jesus?
3-Christ lives in us. Romans 8:10, Gal 2:20
He literally lives in you, guides you and motivates you. If he's now driving the engine, why would you be worried that you would suddenly stop believing?
4-the old you is dead, gone, buried with Christ, and the new creation is here. 2 Cor 5:17
So I could see you being worries about your old identity rejecting Jesus, but if you're literally born again, any new creation, why are you worried that you could actually stop believing?
I can share these verses all day long. The point is, the reason we don't run back to unbelief isn't because of individual selection. It's because the moment we made a personal and willful decision for Jesus, is the moment everything changed. It seems highly improbable that are new hearts would suddenly become evil unbelieving hearts.
Now, I do hear these stories about people who claim they were believers and then one day they were not. I don't get my gospel from them. I have no reason to believe that they were ever truly believers.
I'll close with this. I think we both believe that at least some people are saved. Regardless of your view, the scripture calls it 'eternal' salvation.
ETERNAL means without a beginning and without an end.
So if your salvation could have an end and you could lose your eternal salvation (or stop believing), then that would make God a liar. And he is not.
Note, I also said ETERNAL meant without a beginning. But how can that be? You had a birthday. How can your salvation be without a beginning? Simple. Salvation is not your life being prolonged. Salvation is Christ's life being given to you.
Summary, suggesting that new creations in Christ will never reject him no way is the same thing as individual selection or any version of Calvinism.

@@jesuswithoutreligion sorry, but perseverance of the saints states that a Christian will persevere in both faith and works until the end of their life. Perseverance in faith is not guaranteed. In fact the parable of the sower describes the type of Christian who believes "for a while" and then falls away. We know that person is still saved because salvation is received at the moment of belief.
And 2 Timothy 2:13-19 describes people who fell into false doctrine and stopped believing. And it says nevertheless God knows them who are his. Because they are sealed.
So regardless of your human logic, the Bible does teach that a saved person can fall away from the faith.
It may be the rare case where that actually happens (it's not that rare if it's one of 4 types of soils though), but if you believe it's not possible, then make sure you're not trusting in your ability to keep the faith. Because if you truly believe a Christian cannot fall away (or else they were never saved to begin with), you can never be sure of your salvation, because you don't know if you might fall away some day after getting sucked into some false doctrine.

Thank you brother, learning so much from your channel about what its really all about.
If I can ask a question?I used to follow a guy who said when he got saved,God told him to turn his shirt upside down and read the tag on it,The tag said "100% nylon" and when he turned it upside down it said"100% nolyn" or in real terms 100% no lying(hope that makes sense).
He never explained further what the implication was or ,who he meant that for I don't know if he meant God told him not to lie or if it was meant for his subscribers.
He talked a lot about people over the years who accused him of being a false prophet and how they had sent themselves to Hell and he felt sorry for them.
And I've been quite frightened by it and until i watched some of your teachings I was constantly trying not to exaggerate any claims or lie in any way, which is quite difficult to do in real life, not that I go out of my way to lie.
What do you make of all this?
Thank you and God bless you

I hear you. We’ve all met these people who have these crazy stories. I assume most of them are not true, and just prideful attitudes, so you will look at them as if there’s some special relationship they have with God that you don’t.
The scriptures warn us about getting our gospel from other peoples, visions and stories.
As for not lying, I don’t think God need a shirt tag to teach us that.
Please understand, God does not need Him, or me, or anyone else to talk to you. That’s was an old testament Jewish mans problem. NEVER listen to a person who says or implies that God is sending them messages for you.
As for lying. Of course we know that’s not something we as Christians should do. But I am very certain God is not worried about you lying, even though he would not want you to do it. Your sins have been forgiven. That includes when you tell a lie. You will never give an account for a single sin. Jesus already stood in your place in the court room, and took the full punishment of death. I guess at the end of it all, I’m saying this person is probably dangerous, and has very bad motives, and he’s probably the one who’s doing most of the lying….to you and others. God is God. Anything he wants to tell you, he can tell you without needing to use another human. As for prophecy, anyone who adds or takes from the prophecy that has already been written, let him be accursed. Rev 22:18. All prophecy has been told, and there are no more profits that are future telling. Any version of a profit today would simply be people who are building up and encouraging other Christians. Always know that Jesus is all you need, and while it’s great to listen to teachers, the moment they start pretending they’re your middleman, is the moment you should run for the hills. God bless :)

@@jeffrenshaw Hi Jeff. You're welcome to ask as many questions as you'd like. Salvation prayer is a man-made religious item and it's not necessary in any way for someone to receive Jesus.. We will not find anyone in all of scripture, saying a salvation prayer. All we need to do is believe. That also means we don't need to walk down in aisle in front of a couple dozen people. That, too, is a men made religious system. Now, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with either of the two. In fact, I don't believe that there is anything inherently wrong. I just wanna point out that neither of them have even an ounce of contributing to someone salvation.
If there was anything that I would condone about the salvation prayer, is that sometimes new Christians don't fully understand the core of this decision. So, on a positive note, it's almost like sharing the gospel. Indeed, most of this is at the core of what happens as we come to know Jesus. 1-We acknowledge our sin and need for it to be paid for, 2-We acknowledge Jesus as God, 3-we acknowledge his love for us is so deep that he took the payment for our sins on the cross, 4-and we also acknowledge that he not only rose from there dead, but that this awesome means he has the power to give us new life.
Now, there is one part of this prayer that I do not condone. First to be CLEAR. I don't NOT think Christians should go on sinning. We should AVOID outward sin. We ARE called to live godly lives. However, while all the aforementioned are true, your repenting from outward sin has absolutely no role in salvation. Indeed, we do see the words, 'repent, and believe' in the New Testament, but I can tell you that nearly every time we see those words, they are not being uttered to someone who is outwardly making bad choices, rather, they are being sent to Jewish people who actually thing outwardly they are doing very well, but their problem is INWARD sin. They're chasing after the law for salvation instead of Jesus. This repenting that needs to happen is not outward, but rather INWARD. They need to repent (change their mind about who saves them) and believe (that no one comes to the father, except through Jesus).
This deeply offends, the religious ego. Do you want to see a Christian get really mad? Tell him that avoiding sin doesn't save us. The only faith does. I'm amazed at how many questions are so deeply cut by that message. They view it as a license to sin. And nothing could be further from the truth. No amount of grace is going to make us worse than we were as unbelievers. And I know that makes for a great Sunday morning message telling people they need to stop sinning to be saved, but the truth is, you will not find any such teaching in the scriptures. Again, there's plenty of teaching to avoid outward sin. 100%!. But as we see that teaching, it is in no way connected with what is needed to be saved :)
      Does that answer your question?

Thank you Mike. That is why it is so imperative to understand the truth of the gospel that it is all about the cross and what He did for us once and for all and not all about us and what we need to keep doing for him. I was one of those who tried to turn the free gift into a working debt by all the false doctrine and teaching that I was receiving but through your ministry and others who teach the true gospel, I turned from a religion of works back to once again trusting and resting in what had already been given to me and am no more trying to keep my salvation through my own righteousness of the flesh.😉

I do not consider Ray come for a false teacher, however, I do not agree with his approach. He uses the law to show people there, guilt, but gentiles never had a Law. That was a Jewish system only. Regardless, I think like the apostle Paul said, I rejoice that Christ is preached, and people are getting saved, even if I don’t necessarily agree with his approach. But I think he’s got very good intentions, and at the end of the day a lot of people are coming to know Jesus because of his message. I’ve always been perfectly fine with people having different interpretations of scripture as long as we don’t take the focus off of Jesus. It’s OK to agree to disagree.

  • @royalpriesthood1443

For starters, a " FALSE PROPHET" speaks CONTRARY TO THE SCRIPTURES and speaks from his own vain opinion. ISAIAH 8:20 "“To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” This is referring to the Bible in its entirety. You can't teach opposite of what is written in the scriptures. Moreover, The LAWS of The LORD were never done away with. Apostle Paul taught that The Israelites were NOT JUSTIFIED by the law or SAVED by the law. The Law is in fact a "Ministry of death and condemnation IF and ONLY IF you believe that you are saved by the law and not through faith in The Messiah. You have to put this in it's proper context. In fact, Apostle Paul encouraged The Israelites to follow the laws to the best of their ability. This is in written in the Bible: ROMANS 3:31 "Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, WE ESTABLISH THE LAW." MORE PROOF. Romans 7:1 "“Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man AS LONG AS HE LIVETH." So are you calling Apostle Paul a Liar???? Again, The law was given to The Israelites to separate themselves from The Heathens, not to assimilate with them. The law isn't wicked, men are. The law of the LORD is perfect. Psalms 19:7 "“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.”

      @jesuswithoutreligion  2 роки тому +1

Does a false prophet speak contrary To the Scriptures? Of course. I’m not clear who you’re debating with all that part.
You’re describing a different false prophet from the old testament. Those kinds of prophets no longer exist. They were basically fortunetellers (just for example). And you knew they were a fraud if what they claimed they heard from God did not come true.
Today’s false prophets are just as I described in the video.
Speaking of context, I’m concerned that you might be missing the context with this idea that the apostle Paul was strapping the law around the next of the people. You’re literally teaching contrary to the scriptures. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and suggest that you just have not studied Paul’s letter and understand it clearly. Many do not. But I can tell you for a fact, the apostle Paul never was selling the idea that Christians should be ‘doing their best to keep the law’.
[Romans 3:31] Do we then nullify the Law through faith? Far from it! On the contrary, we establish the Law.
This is not Paul making any reference to doing your best to keep the law. He’s acknowledging that the law is perfect and Holy, and that no one can do it. And as such you learn the importance of salvation through faith, APART from works of the law.
This is the same apostle that tells the audience that they are dead to the law. Not under the law. Free from the law. So, it is a complete contradiction to say that he was telling them they are FREE from the law “but you should at least do your best to keep it”. That would be talking out of both sides of his mouth.
The Apostle James said anyone under the law is under a curse. That’s because even if you kept the entire law and fall shower at just ONE point you are guilty of it ALL. The point is you, nor I have any business trying to push that system on Christians.

[Romans 7:1] Or do you not know, brothers and sisters (for I am speaking to those who know the Law), that the Law has jurisdiction over a person as long as he lives?
You’ve really missed the context of chapter 7.
In this verse, Paul is not talking about the Mosaic law. He’s talking about Roman law. Humans law. He’s making an analogy using Roman law to explain how it is spiritual adultery for you to be a Christian and under the law at the same time. In the same way, humans cannot be married to another unless the other one dies, you cannot be united with Christ until you die to the law. That is a huge difference from the apostle Paul saying to do your best to keep the law. On the contrary, he said get away from it.
If you read the chapter carefully, the point being made is this:
1-there was a Roman law against adultery. And this law only applies as long as the person is alive. If the spouse dies, then the person is free to be united with another. But you can’t be joined to another while the other one is alive.
See vs 2 For the married woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he is alive; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning the husband.
So the point is, you can’t be united with another until one dies.
2-so, in the same way, if you want to be united with Jesus, you can’t do it until you die to the law. You cannot be united with the law and united with Christ at the same time. That is the equivalent of spiritual adultery. And that's his point!
See vs 4 ‘Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you also were put to death in regard to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might belong TO ANOTHER, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God’.
And we also discovered from that verse that you can’t bear fruit for God until you die to the law. So this idea that the apostle Paul wants us to die to the law but still do our very best to keep it is nonsense and not founded on any biblical truth.
RE: you wrote the ‘The law isn't wicked, men are’
No one ever called the law wicked. I’m not sure who you’re debating on that either. But it’s not me. The law is perfect and holy. The problem is when YOU put OTHERS under it. The law kills. It causes MORE sin. The apostle Paul said that the law caused him to be involved in every kind of coveting. How do you stop covering? He said ‘apart from the law, sin lies dead’. The law's role was to lead you to Jesus. And once that’s done you are NO LONGER under it. And if you want to lead people away from coveting, then clearly the answer is not to put them under the law. The answer, according to Paul, is to have them apart from law - Romans 7:8.
[Galatians 3:24-25] Therefore the Law has become our guardian to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are NO LONGER under a [guardian.
And Christians are never called wicked. So, I hope that you’re referring to evil unbelieving hearts. When it comes to Christians, the old is gone, dead, and the new is here. We have new hearts, new spirits, and new desires. You have been born again, and God does not give birth to wicked children’s. You’re not going to find a single verse where God calls his children wicked.
SUMMARY: If anyone says Christians should do their very best to keep the law and that believers are wicked, I would certainly say that’s borderline a false prophet, if not over the line.
The goal is not doing your best to keep the Mosaic law. The goal is knowing Jesus.

@@jesuswithoutreligion Well YOU would be a false prophet because you are CLEARLY speaking contrary to the scriptures.
1 John 2:3,4 "And hereby we do know that we know him, if WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS."
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, IS A LIAR and the truth is not in him.
1 John 3:8 "He that committeth SIN is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil."
1 John 3:4 "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."
How is the law done away with again????? It means exactly what it says.
Romans 3:31 means EXACTLY what it says and Paul wouldn't be encouraging anyone NOT to keep the Laws of the Heavenly Father, in favor of keeping Roman Law. You make absolutely no sense. The goal is NOT TO SIN. How do you NOT SIN? By NOT TRANSGRESSING The LAWS. And James is saying if you believe that you are JUSTIFIED BY THE LAW, THEN you are cursed. You aren't "CURSED" if you try to avoid sinning by keeping the laws. He also said "faith without works is dead," works also include keeping the commandments and the laws of the Lord.
So you are telling me that the LORD did away with his laws that he created EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE ISRAELITES? Romans 7 isn't talking about all 613 plus laws?? You are unlearned and it shows sir. The law endures forever. Baruch 4:1 "“This is the book of the
commandments of God, and the law that endureth for ever: all they that keep it shall come to life; but such as leave it shall die.” Come on, this is direct and straight forward. You nor anyone else can change what it says, no matter how you try to spin it.
Revelation 14:12 "“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the COMMANDMENTS of God, and the faith of Jesus.” Is John The Revelator lying too? He is saying what Paul is saying. These are the only ones that will be saved. So wrong again preacher man.
