Here is the former Journey lead singer, Steve Augeri, performing the group's biggest hit, "Don't Stop Believin'" with the PS22 Chorus! This was from a rehearsal yesterday for a performance he and the kids will be doing together this Saturday at the Italian Harvest Festival at Snug Harbor in Staten Island! When Steve was asked to perform at the event, he sought out PS22 for the gig after seeing our classic 2009 viral performance of the song on UA-cam -- Quite an honor! The kids will also be performing a special bonus number with the Steve Augeri Band, which we'll post this weekend....
Big thanks to Mr. Eberle for joining on guitar, Ms. Lisa for filming, chorus member Kevin for his quick work on the amazing solo, and of course to Steve Augeri for not only sharing his talent and inspiration with the kids, but for proving to be a gentleman AND one of the coolest cats we've ever had the pleasure of working with!

Would be cool to know all these beautiful singers are all doing good and are safe! Love PS22!!!
No more arguments that the arts don't matter in schools. They do. Thank you to the people who made all this happen -- the generations of the people behind them.
Thanks Steve. You spread the music joy to the future
This song deals with so many phobias. I’m so glad they singing out play Steve Perry did.
These kids are amazing! Wish we had more teachers like this to go around the world!!!
I've always loved that each kid is swaying to the music independently from the rest and how most are acting out the song in almost the same way but unchoreographed.
Very nice, great group of youngsters. Hope they all have done great things in their lives.
Love how celebrities rather it's Celtic Woman, Kylie Minogue, KT Tunstall and now Steve Augeri end up swaying with to the music with the kids. It must be something magical in that auditorium :)
Where was Mr B when I was in school at this age...(hint I was 10 in 1970) .lol --- that talent gets better and better
"Like" is an understatement. I LOVE it.
so wonderful! love love love!!!
i remember the 2009 chorus they were great when they did this song but omg I love this chorus too
This should have way more views!
Bravo!!!
Followers of the PS22 chorus needs to thank the principal and putting the chorus among the last items in the cut list instead of at the top. The various costs connected with the Chorus must be huge. Buses, chaperones, items for the kids. 60 kids that adds up.
Great performance of this song. Great song!
awww...i never get goosebumps during songs but i just did...(lol it freaked me out!!)
I love these guys :)
VERY FANTASTIC AND INSPIRING. THANKS!
I love this song
Es macht so Spaß ihnen zu zuhören :) ♥
best wishes from
GERMANY
@Potterhead69 That "dude" is their teacher. And the guy that uploads these videos. He is so much more than "cool and cute". He's such an amazing inspiration!
I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO EXPERIENCE THIS. ♥
And then I would faint. Lol.
Who is the idiot that disliked this video? PS22 this is a good collab with Steve.
YEEEEEEEEESS!!!!!
Wonderful :)
Love it! 👏❤ :)

The kid soloist was quite good. Great song, too!
Super woooowwwwwww ✔️👍✔️👍
Did you think of the PS22 chorus of 2009 at all while singing this?
I have fond memories of watching them cover this song for the first time :3 I miss them. But this year's chorus is pretty awesome so far too!
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!
the kid in the beginning 😯chills
great hair cut, mr. b! ;-)
If they got rid of the arts in schools. ALL of these kids will be heartbroken! Heck I think all of the people who watch will be heartbroken! I Love PS22 Chorus!! :)
@krazulo As Mr B. (their teacher) said somewhere else: these kids are both allowed and encouraged to have a childhood :)
@abmindprof thats Canada btw
kevin is so good at singin
Poor me..
I didnt have cool teachers like them when i was a student.
@lostanddumbfounded
but I hope this child got a better childhood!!!
Is it too early to say I'm a fan of Kevin' ? :D
@TheCrowneJewel South Detroit is Windsor, Ontario. ha ha
But.. this was originally sung by Steve Perry, not Steve Augeri.. right?
who's the kid soloist?
just to make things clear and my dad has says this many times
There's no such thing as South Detroit!
did ANYONE notice his shirt??
hate to say it, but the earlier version with just the kids rocked it better....
i think people got to take into consideration there little kids this isnt glee there not 25 year olds playing teenagers plus their voices are still developing
Steve is a bit scratchy and not to good!...but the kids are fabulous!
That's not Steve Perry
