For me Ni-ki's journey to become a member in enhypen is the most heartbreaking one because of all the criticism from other fans and him being unable to communicate easily because of the language barrier and him unable to express his feelings, how he lost his confidence after staying so much in the ground and him thinking that he isnt skilled enough when in fact he is the most amazing dancer that has a really nice vocal color. when he was called to become a member of enha i cried my eyes out and when i saw his reaction it broke my heart so much. Seeing him now as a member of enhypen realy made me realize how i-land took such a toll on him to the point he can't even relax and be himself, I am so glad that in enhypen he is now acting like his age and he seems to be really having fun. I am also glad that the other enhypen members treasure him so much, I can't wait to see them grow together and become one of the best kpop acts (heart emoji)
Same the fact that he got so much hate from hundreds of people that were watching I-Land at a young age is just...heartbreaking and all because of the horrible editing. I think Ni-Ki had the hardest journey in I-land with all the drama and low moments considering that he's also young and stayed in ground longer with all pressure and leadership assignments.
And the way Jay was so uncomfortable when he was scolded. These two are my favorites because of their journey both lost confidence after the first episode
Same. But being selfish isn't always a bad thing. I am selfish but it's human nature. To say your not selfish is wrong. He wanted to win and he will do anything to get that except hurting people and he should. But that can't be termed as selfish. That was the first time I was really disappointed about Mnet. i didn't know much about Mnet or care about it but when they started to show Niki in that light. I got really mad. Evil editing.
Same, I don't why people saw him that way. Being a dancer is a lot of pressure and well with time you become a little different from the others becuase we know how we do things. We have been working to become stars for years. But people just want to make us feel bad sometimes. We have a lot of pressure to be perfect but people just don't realize that we give our whole life to this just for people sending hate to him went he was in I-LAND. It wasn't fair that they will treat him that way😭. I just can't some people just send hate we out knowing what is truely happeing and how it can affect people.
He received a lot of criticism during I-land but what people forgot was that he was just a 15 year old kid!!! He really tried hard to help others while still achieving his goal of debut.
The way almost all ilanders treat those younger ilanders like baby but when it comes to Ni-ki they're too harsh the pressure they gave to Ni-ki is just too unacceptable , and the fact that he's the second youngest among all of them☠️

It was suspicious why hardly any happy moments of Ni-Ki appeared during the show. I voted for him because he has the strongest mentality as the second youngest boy there, aside being the best dancer and vocally he is the one I'm looking forward, cause his voice is unique.

niki isnt selfish, he has the mentality you need in a survival show. ITS A SURVIVAL SHOW. i actually admire the way he thinks and hes just honest tbh, everyone has some sort of selfishness in them. its a natural instinct when you are determined to do somethingand this would be his only chnace. theres a lot of moments in the show where i go whoa this kid is smart.
Some viewers seem to have forgotten just how young Ni-Ki is. He had to move to another country to be in a highly competitive program. Plus, understanding and communicating in a second language. The pressure he felt had to have been enormous. I think Ni-Ki is more the quiet type. With time and experience, he will open up more.
idk if anyone else saw it, but he has a *leader* mindset even if he isn't aware of it. people naturally are drawn to him, not only because of his skill at dancing, but his ability to create an atmosphere of hard work and diligence. take the grounders Fire performance as an example, he lead that and they killed it because of his leadership! everyone looked so hungry to win. to have that at the age of 14 is insane and really is a gift that ppl weren't able to see during the show. they mistaken his strong drive to win with selfishness and i will always feel bad for the hate he (only 14, a kid) got by a bunch of sensitive people who prob doesn't know what it was like to live alone at only 14 in a foreign country with a foreign language as theirs just for the slim possibility of debuting. anyway, look at him now. he is loved by so many people and you can just tell how much happier he is. this boy got so many solos!! not to mention he has the most loving hyungs and most loyal/supportive fandom (nikitties) with him 🥰🥰🥰 ty to those who rooted for him since day1 and those who are now

If I were there I would vote out Taki, Seon and others who didn't standout much so just because I am friends with someone doesn't mean I automatically need to save them. Yes my close friend even hated him during i-land and i only knew about it after enha debuted. i mean he's just 14 back then a young child that still has a lot to experience people just want to believe what they want to. Ni-Ki suffered in i-land a lot and i’m glad that it has been paid off. What I’m most proud of is his growth. When he first entered i-land, his eagerness was up to the roof that he tend to think of himself more than others. That’s not particularly a bad thing, that’s actually great, but it didnt work for Ni-ki that well. He got eliminated in the first test, and then in ground, instead of just focusing on himself, he helped the team first in the best of his ability. He guided them, taught them, and was even very strict. A lot of people found him wrong since he was a bit short tempered, but he’s really just eager to perfect the team. He immediately changed from wanting rank 1 & focusing on himself to helping the grounders in need. After the second test, he still lead the team even when he didnt move up to i-land. And after losing the dance battle, it took a very huge toll on him that he didnt want to lead anymore, but in the end he still took the leader position not for himself but for the grounders. When he entered part 2 it didnt get better because even after always doing his best, he never got the badge. Before the results of the 3rd test, Ni-ki did so well that even Jake said it’s time for him to be in the purple room. But Ni-ki just pointed at the 7th bed. Before, he wanted part 1-2 & center because he was really eager to debut. But after everything that has happened, he didnt want to be on the highest ranks, but simply just wanted to be part of the 7. I’m so so glad he ranked 2 after the third test. And ofcourse, finally debuting!! I recently watched his live with Jake and Sunghoon (my dog is cuter line) and he’s very very happy. I’m so glad. I actually still think he’s too young to be in this shitty industry, but i’m relieved to know he’s in enhypen. He’s gonna grow so much more
Damn I remember that time he said he didn't care if he gets to be in the purple room as long as he's part of the debut team, it doesn't matter to him as long as he debuts... in that moment I felt so desperate for him to debut that I swore that if he didn't make it, I might probably not support the group... I was this desperate I voted for him on my 2 accounts and forced my sister to make an account to vote for him too... When his name was called to debut, I actually just froze and just couldn't react right away but I was so happy for him... Honestly, I love all the members in ENHYPEN considering that all 7 of them that debuted were my top 7 (I was so close to crying when they were about to announce the last member because Sunoo was there and I thought he won't make it but he did, I was so relieved cuz my sister liked him but I forced her to vote for Ni-ki, I'm guilty for this) It was the 1st time I watched a survival show that I was really completely satisfied with all the members that debuted because all the one's I hoped to debut debuted... I just had more of a soft spot towards Ni-ki since he was so young and had so much talent and he reminded me so much of how Taemin was when he was way younger...

All members went through so much and there’s really nothing to compare, but since Ni-ki was so young I feel like the show had more weight on his mental health compared with the others. for me, Ni-ki wasn't selfish. Ni-ki was as desparate as the others, he almost gave up in the end. He is a prodigy. At a young age, he left for his dream 2 years later he got the chance to debut. He is not selfish, he has a goal, a dream and he knows his skills. Yeah, maybe he can be my bias in Enhypen.

Everyone took advantage of Niki because he was young. He had low rankings throughout the whole show and he was basically always in the ground, where he was always burdened by having to teach everyone the moves and help them get out of the ground while he stayed there. And when he finally ranked high everyone was just confused about it. He’s an amazing dancer but he was just ignored. And when K said that he only thinks about himself really angered me. Niki helped everyone in the ground and was constantly the leader even though it was slowly draining him of his confidence.

After he debut, most of his bashers became his fan. He is now one of the most popular member of Enha. Every variety shows they attend to, Ni-Ki always shines the most. He is a baby for everyone. Not just for Enhypen and Engenes but also for other BH labels groups. Especially TXT. After watching their tv appearance you can see how much Ni-Ki was loved and protected by his hyungs. He was now receiving all the love he deserved that he never had during I-land days because they were way too harsh on him back then
it was heartbreaking that almost no one was talking about ni-ki in weverse during I-Land days, i always cried when i see ppl hating him in the chatroom like calling him 'talentless', saying he deserve to be eliminated cuz he have a 'bad personality'.. I was so confused that time for I never saw anything wrong with what he was doing.. Some ppl need to learn that he was still a child, learn to understand them and not jump to conclusions nor believe rumours. I was concerned since he never smiled, but as ppl started to recognize his talent and potential, when he finally climbed up the ranking, I was so shocked and happy at the same time bc its the first time I saw him smile (well not really since he was smiling on their way to iland when they were introducing the applicants, but it was the first time based when they started).. The ilanders were shocked too. He worked so hard for his dream, the story of him immediately dancing too just after he woke up. It was a very hard time for ni-ki and us nikitties, but we never gave up. I think Ni-Ki had one of the toughest journey on I-Land. He had so much pressure put on him because everyone knew he was an outstanding dancer. At 14, he was so brave to step up and lead when they needed him to. He learned and improved so much not just in dance, singing and performances but his own personal growth. I could see that Mnet was evil editing him but I didn’t fall for it. He has been one of my favorites since the beginning and I cried so many happy and proud tears when he was announced.
I knew I made the right choice of stanning Ni-Ki ever since I-LAND. The boy is a gem, the most beautiful of all. I remember people predicting the lineup and I'd never see niki on the list. What hurt more was the fact that the poor boy was trying so hard. I could see even in the eyes of the mentors how they'd be disappointed by his ranking knowing damn well that he deserved better.
one thing i hated about i-land was how the others treated ni-ki. they all treated the youngest trainees (like daniel and taki) like little brothers, yet to ni-ki, who was also one of the youngest, they treated like a threat :/
Just think about how different Ni-ki here is vs. the Ni-ki we see in Enhypen. He was carrying so much, that he couldn't even be himself, he couldn't act his age like the other maknaes of iland since there was too much pressure given the skill he has was known to everyone. Everybody knows Ni-Ki is extremly incredibly talented in dancing and his dancing skills never were doubted. Many people became his fans because of his amazing dance skills. Most of engenes don't consider Ni-Ki as a vocalist since he's not the best singer in the group, and engenes unofficially gave him a main rapper position. But the funny thing for me is that I noticed Ni-Ki because of his voice. Not rap, but singing voice. When I saw ENHYPEN's performance for the first time, I didn't know who is who and who is the best dancer, who is the main vocal and etc. I knew nothing about them, I haven't watched I-LAND at that time. But Ni-Ki's voice caught my attention and he became my bias immediately. Now I know and love them all, but Ni-Ki's voice is still and forever will be my favourite. I hope to see his growth in the future when people start appreciating him as a vocalist as well.
Niki's trial is the one that made me the most emotional. Him getting scolded by K all the time was so heartbreaking, he was trying so hard to focus on himself so he can debut but others are putting him down to try connect with others. I'm just glad he finally debuted with Enhypen, he earned it.
Ni-ki and Jay’s journey to enhypen is really the most heart-breaking, but also the most inspirational. Imagine surviving the grounds just to get to i-land, and finally making it to enhypen. I admire their determination and I aspire to be as persevered as them ❤️

ni-ki has the most unbreaking story on I-LAND i swear, imagine having that on 14. Being misunderstood and is labeled as selfish. He's still young back then, he still has a lot to learn. The way they treated the other youngest compared to him is so much different.
I am in awe how Rain’s relationship with ni-ki also evolved he knows how to look for talents in the first ep he was rooting for him, suceeding eps he was pushing but also encouraging him. Also trusted ni-ki to be leader for fhe ground. There were a lot of judgements, misunderstanding and sad moments but now I am so proud of ni-ki, his more mature but also playful. I can be prouder to say that he is our main dancer and an all-rounder maknae. Ps im writing this with eyes full of tears
This video brought me lots of painful memories. I remember how I prayed while looking up to the sun during day and looking up to the moon during night. And whenever 11:11 PM, I wish that he's ok, that he'll debut. The feeling of having an anxiety thinking he might not be safe or is he fine physically and mentally or is he sleeping comfortably or is he eating well. Knowing that he almost has less screening time. He was criticized, trended in a wrong way, hated for his 'translated' words, misunderstood for his actions, downgrading his skills and talents, a freaking article abt his b4d attitud3 which doesn't makes sense, was predicted to be eliminated.. He once lost hope, confidence and almost gave up. Yet, a 14-year-old kid who was critized made his debut last November 30, 2020. His fancams now have millions of views. He's loved by many and maybe the most popular now. The fruit of his hardwork. And I'm proud to say that during those times, I was there. Nikitties are there. We aren't his parents, sisters, relatives or even not his friends but whenever we see Ni-ki, proud is not enough. Proud is an understatement.

Dang this kid learned and grow a lot throughout the show he's like a strong warrior in a child's body very fragile they didn't treat him as baby back then but a threat. I'm just glad that he successfully debuted as Enhypen member.. we're now seeing the baby side of him that is not struggling or competing to excel and be noticed.

To be honest, only Ni-ki, Jay and Sunoo caught my attention in the whole ILAND series. Not because of their personalities, but their struggle to become an Idol teaches them a lot of things, and I am happy that they experienced a roller coaster ride considering their age, especially Ni-ki who is the youngest..
This is the reason I hate Mnet. As a produce x 101 stan, I know how evil their editing is. Just like they did in PDX101, Mnet painted Ni-ki as someone he truly isn't, someone who is selfish and doesn't care about others which is totally not true. This is why I hate Mnet. Ni-ki was only 14 (international age) but Mnet made him get so much hate and almost lose hope completely. People wonder why stans are so protective towards their idols, and this is why. There is so much mistreatment in the kpop industry which makes people seem like completely different people...

They tried so hard to make him look selfish and evil but his real personality was there from the beginning, the pressure he had on was too much but he never treated anyone bad. He wasn't babied but his innocence shined through and that why he got to 4th place at the end and now he can be the cutest and craziest maknae with Enhypen where he belongs. 😭
This is the reason why I only trust Ni-ki and Jay during I-land days😢 they experience the I-land and ground together and lots of elimination yet they were so brave to face it.

Ni-ki was an angel send to ground.... Just imagine how will some grounders survive without his guide. Although he lost his confidence during the show, I am glad he never give up. I still remember how we voted for him in fear of his elimination. But all his struggle paid off and look at him now, the main dancer and dance leader in Enhypen, he is literally shining 😭❤️
as someone whose ni-ki’s age, i cannot even imagine myself in his place. in a foreign land, away from my family, so much pressure AND language barriers. like yeah no. props to him. my respect for him has literally sky rocketed. and honestly, i can absolutely understand his mindset on this show, wanting the best for yourself amongst people who aren’t really permanent is not selfish at all in my opinion.
Rewatching this, now I realize how strong Ni-ki was during this show Him being the second youngest out of all the participants with only 14 years old He didnt just achieve his goal of debuting but also helped everyone he could No one treated him like a kid, he was always shown as someone with an amazing talent that people can relay on but wasn't enough to debut and he was harshly criticized for that.
i think what people forget the most is this is a survival show. the industry is not all sunshine and rainbows. ni-ki is young, at the time in international age he was only 14. he's so young and passionate and he came all the way from japan, leaving behind his friends and family and life as he knows it to pursue his dreams. sure, maybe he bit off a bit more than he could chew at the beginning, but was it necessary to attack him so much and call him selfish? a snake? he's just passionate and he always strives to do better. in ground, he continued to do his very best and push the others to debut as well. his heart is so big, he kept getting low scores and wanted to focus on himself, but he decided to help everyone else out practicing choreography. i'm happy for him now, to see him thriving on stage, but it stings a bit seeing all those heaps of praise, when just months ago people were throwing insults all around his name. please support him unconditionally, it must be so difficult for him.
Ni-ki was one of the youngest people on I-land so he got underestimated a lot and often got put in parts that didn't showcase his talent enough to be honest in my opinion he didn't get enough time to shin in i-land but I'm still glad that he got to debut and I'm still glad that he has the chance now to show is capability and was and is still my bias!
If your asking why Mnet evil edited Ni-ki(and some other i-landers), it's because Mnet wanted to raise the tension & add fuel to flames in order for the show to be more popular and gain viewers, however instead the I-landers received backlash and hate especially Ni-ki and K, due to MNET's evil editing

It's so sad how Ni-Ki was slowly losing confidence in debuting. On the 1st part when he said people don't really look at your skills and when he and Jake were talking and the way he said he gave up because he knew Taki was more popular than him. I really cried. To think that he had to go through this at such a young age. But all is well now. He debuted and is receiving lots of love and attention. I may have not followed iLand (I would've probably been more devastated for him if I did) and it's around 2 years late but I'm happy that he debuted and can't be thankful enough for people who really put him as an Enhypen member. Ni-Ki is one of my favorite dancers in kpop of all time.
Ni-ki is wonderful. Many people say that Ni-ki does overaction and is a disgrace to Enhypen but all of that is not true. Ni-ki is very precious in fact he is the most amazing dancer at a small age. I dont know how Ni-ki was able to overcome all of this pressure at my age which of course i cant. Now I am very happy to see Ni-ki in Enhypen. Ni-ki is playful, cheerful, happy, and hard working including the other members. So everyone stan enhypen.
It's hurt to look back at how Niki suffer to become the Maknae of Enhypen. It's sad to know that people misunderstood and criticized him, he's just a young boy who's desperate to fulfill his dream, and it makes me feel bad to see how others doesn't treat him like a maknae even though he's one.......... But now that he debut I'm so proud of him, he's now one of the best dancer/performer in the k-pop industry
Riki is such a strong boy! He leave his home at such a young age and work hard to reach his dream. But of course, every journey have the dark time that people should go through. A lot of people critics him and say that he is selfish. I understand, this is survival show, everyone want to debute. The most heart breaking thing is that everyone forget he is still young and have no one to open up... They keep putting pressure on him. @@Marv1383 sorry for my late reply, but I just wanna make it clear. What K said was not about the language barrier but about Ni-Ki not expressing his feelings. Every time K started scolding him, Ni-Ki mostly didn't say anything back or walked away. K wanted Ni-Ki to speak up and explain what's on his mind and why he did what he did - changing the choreo, not listening to the leader. Ni-Ki was desperate, K thought he's just selfish and yes, K couldn't understand him since K never was in danger of elimination. Ni-Ki should just open up and talk about that but he couldn't. He was only 14 after all, second maknae after Daniel, though many i-landers/grounders treated him like he's older and doesn't need any emotional support (nonsense). Plus, not only Ni-Ki but everybody in K's team had problems with openly sharing their opinions with K because he was tough as a leader.
Out of all the members in ENHYPEN, Ni-ki endured the most. He would work so hard to get a spot in i-land, but he would always remain in the ground. It got so bad where he was literally giving up, and that was a point that everyone in the i-land was overlooking. Ni-ki always looked so disappointed whenever he got a low scoring. I was so proud of him when he got 2nd after the third test. The most heartbreaking part of this all is that he wasn't selfish. Plus, all the other members weren't treating him as a 14 year old boy. They saw him as a threat and thus treated him terribly. I was so angry when K kept scolding him. It broke my heart every time. I was very excited and overjoyed when they announced Ni-ki as the 2nd debuted member. I was so proud of him. He worked so hard, in dancing, singing etc. And I'm so proud of his journey and everything he jas accomplished now❤
He is a great example for everyone. Even though he struggles for himself without considering his teammates at first but he changed his attitude after k advice and became selfless. He works hard until he became the top and was able to debut. Fighting This whole comment is referring to Dna performance only. All viewers know how good is he in dancing and how he helped others in those area before. Let's support enhypen.
He was helping his teammates LONG before K’s comments. Honestly K was way too hard on him. It wasn’t like he made up his own choreography for one - it was something V did plus it was a BTS challenge and the producers had made a huge deal about it being an “individual’s” test not a group one. Also, K’s comment about him being selfish was ridiculous. K had not been in ground to see how much Ni-Ki ‘took the lead’ and helped ALL ground members. If K would have asked anyone there, every person could talk about a time Ni-ki helped them. K was always one of my favorite performers but he definitely had arrogance/control issues that he needed to work on. (It took his whole group confronting him about it before he started to change). He was way older than Ni-Ki and Ni-Ki looked up to him so much, K could have handled this so much better. Ni-Ki was working so hard and all the I-landers/Grounders loved him. If he was so selfish and only thought of himself no one would like him. Ni-Ki is a sweetheart and was from the 1st ep. The editing was just horrible!

For me Ni-ki's journey to become a member in enhypen is the most heartbreaking one because of all the criticism from other fans and him being unable to communicate easily because of the language barrier and him unable to express his feelings, how he lost his confidence after staying so much in the ground and him thinking that he isnt skilled enough when in fact he is the most amazing dancer that has a really nice vocal color. when he was called to become a member of enha i cried my eyes out and when i saw his reaction it broke my heart so much. Seeing him now as a member of enhypen realy made me realize how i-land took such a toll on him to the point he can't even relax and be himself, I am so glad that in enhypen he is now acting like his age and he seems to be really having fun. I think Ni-Ki had the hardest journey in I-land with all the drama and low moments considering that he's also young and stayed in ground longer with all pressure and leadership assignments.

We have been working to become stars for years. But people just want to make us feel bad sometimes. niki isnt selfish, he has the mentality you need in a survival show. ITS A SURVIVAL SHOW. i actually admire the way he thinks and hes just honest tbh, everyone has some sort of selfishness in them. its a natural instinct when you are determined to do somethingand this would be his only chnace. theres a lot of moments in the show where i go whoa this kid is smart.

Some viewers seem to have forgotten just how young Ni-Ki is. He had to move to another country to be in a highly competitive program. Plus, understanding and communicating in a second language. The pressure he felt had to have been enormous. I think Ni-Ki is more the quiet type. With time and experience, he will open up more.

Yes my close friend even hated him during i-land and i only knew about it after enha debuted. i mean he's just 14 back then a young child that still has a lot to experience people just want to believe what they want to. I'm so glad that I saw ni-ki grow into who he is today for me he had a rough journey thats why i'm overjoyed when i see him on stage and having fun with the rest of enha members huhuhu

Ni-Ki suffered in i-land a lot and i’m glad that it has been paid off. What I’m most proud of is his growth. When he first entered i-land, his eagerness was up to the roof that he tend to think of himself more than others. That’s not particularly a bad thing, that’s actually great, but it didnt work for Ni-ki that well. He got eliminated in the first test, and then in ground, instead of just focusing on himself, he helped the team first in the best of his ability. He guided them, taught them, and was even very strict. A lot of people found him wrong since he was a bit short tempered, but he’s really just eager to perfect the team. He immediately changed from wanting rank 1 & focusing on himself to helping the grounders in need. After the second test, he still lead the team even when he didnt move up to i-land. And after losing the dance battle, it took a very huge toll on him that he didnt want to lead anymore, but in the end he still took the leader position not for himself but for the grounders. When he entered part 2 it didnt get better because even after always doing his best, he never got the badge. Before the results of the 3rd test, Ni-ki did so well that even Jake said it’s time for him to be in the purple room. But Ni-ki just pointed at the 7th bed. Before, he wanted part 1-2 & center because he was really eager to debut. But after everything that has happened, he didnt want to be on the highest ranks, but simply just wanted to be part of the 7. I’m so so glad he ranked 2 after the third test. And ofcourse, finally debuting!! I recently watched his live with Jake and Sunghoon (my dog is cuter line) and he’s very very happy. I’m so glad. I actually still think he’s too young to be in this shitty industry, but i’m relieved to know he’s in enhypen. He’s gonna grow so much more
Damn I remember that time he said he didn't care if he gets to be in the purple room as long as he's part of the debut team, it doesn't matter to him as long as he debuts... in that moment I felt so desperate for him to debut that I swore that if he didn't make it, I might probably not support the group... I was this desperate I voted for him on my 2 accounts and forced my sister to make an account to vote for him too...
When his name was called to debut, I actually just froze and just couldn't react right away but I was so happy for him...
Honestly, I love all the members in ENHYPEN considering that all 7 of them that debuted were my top 7 (I was so close to crying when they were about to announce the last member because Sunoo was there and I thought he won't make it but he did, I was so relieved cuz my sister liked him but I forced her to vote for Ni-ki, I'm guilty for this)
It was the 1st time I watched a survival show that I was really completely satisfied with all the members that debuted because all the one's I hoped to debut debuted... I just had more of a soft spot towards Ni-ki since he was so young and had so much talent and he reminded me so much of how Taemin was when he was way younger...

All members went through so much and there’s really nothing to compare, but since Ni-ki was so young I feel like the show had more weight on his mental health compared with the others. He kept pushing, falling, and growing as well.

for me, Ni-ki wasn't selfish. Ni-ki was as desparate as the others, he almost gave up in the end. He is a prodigy. At a young age, he left for his dream 2 years later he got the chance to debut. He is not selfish, he has a goal, a dream and he knows his skills. Yeah, maybe he can be my bias in Enhypen.

Everyone took advantage of Niki because he was young. He had low rankings throughout the whole show and he was basically always in the ground, where he was always burdened by having to teach everyone the moves and help them get out of the ground while he stayed there. And when he finally ranked high everyone was just confused about it. He’s an amazing dancer but he was just ignored.
And when K said that he only thinks about himself really angered me. Niki helped everyone in the ground and was constantly the leader even though it was slowly draining him of his confidence.

Not just for Enhypen and Engenes but also for other BH labels groups. Especially TXT. After watching their tv appearance you can see how much Ni-Ki was loved and protected by his hyungs. He was now receiving all the love he deserved that he never had during I-land days because they were way too harsh on him back then

it was heartbreaking that almost no one was talking about ni-ki in weverse during I-Land days, i always cried when i see ppl hating him in the chatroom like calling him 'talentless', saying he deserve to be eliminated cuz he have a 'bad personality'.. I was so confused that time for I never saw anything wrong with what he was doing.. Some ppl need to learn that he was still a child, learn to understand them and not jump to conclusions nor believe rumours. I was concerned since he never smiled, but as ppl started to recognize his talent and potential, when he finally climbed up the ranking, I was so shocked and happy at the same time bc its the first time I saw him smile (well not really since he was smiling on their way to iland when they were introducing the applicants, but it was the first time based when they started).. The ilanders were shocked too. He worked so hard for his dream, the story of him immediately dancing too just after he woke up. It was a very hard time for ni-ki and us nikitties, but we never gave up. I believed in him since the very first, I'm so happy that he reached his dream and he finslly seems very happy and is now being playful. He is so chaotic. He deserves to be loved. I love him so much! Stan enhypen and never let anyone be left behind!

I was so nervous during the announcement of the debut line and when his name came up! Baam! So darn happy and glad that he got the recognition he deserved!

I think Ni-Ki had one of the toughest journey on I-Land. He had so much pressure put on him because everyone knew he was an outstanding dancer. At 14, he was so brave to step up and lead when they needed him to. He learned and improved so much not just in dance, singing and performances but his own personal growth. I could see that Mnet was evil editing him but I didn’t fall for it. He has been one of my favorites since the beginning and I cried so many happy and proud tears when he was announced.

I remember people predicting the lineup and I'd never see niki on the list. What hurt more was the fact that the poor boy was trying so hard. I could see even in the eyes of the mentors how they'd be disappointed by his ranking knowing damn well that he deserved better.

Everybody knows Ni-Ki is extremly incredibly talented in dancing and his dancing skills never were doubted. Many people became his fans because of his amazing dance skills. Most of engenes don't consider Ni-Ki as a vocalist since he's not the best singer in the group, and engenes unofficially gave him a main rapper position. But the funny thing for me is that I noticed Ni-Ki because of his voice. Not rap, but singing voice. When I saw ENHYPEN's performance for the first time, I didn't know who is who and who is the best dancer, who is the main vocal and etc. I knew nothing about them, I haven't watched I-LAND at that time. But Ni-Ki's voice caught my attention and he became my bias immediately. Now I know and love them all, but Ni-Ki's voice is still and forever will be my favourite. I hope to see his growth in the future when people start appreciating him as a vocalist as well.

Niki's trial is the one that made me the most emotional. Him getting scolded by K all the time was so heartbreaking, he was trying so hard to focus on himself so he can debut but others are putting him down to try connect with others. I'm just glad he finally debuted with Enhypen, he earned it.
Ni-ki and Jay’s journey to enhypen is really the most heart-breaking, but also the most inspirational. Imagine surviving the grounds just to get to i-land, and finally making it to enhypen. I admire their determination and I aspire to be as persevered as them ❤️

ni-ki has the most unbreaking story on I-LAND i swear, imagine having that on 14. Being misunderstood and is labeled as selfish. He's still young back then, he still has a lot to learn. The way they treated the other youngest compared to him is so much different.
I am in awe how Rain’s relationship with ni-ki also evolved he knows how to look for talents in the first ep he was rooting for him, suceeding eps he was pushing but also encouraging him. Also trusted ni-ki to be leader for fhe ground. There were a lot of judgements, misunderstanding and sad moments but now I am so proud of ni-ki, his more mature but also playful. I can be prouder to say that he is our main dancer and an all-rounder maknae.

This video brought me lots of painful memories. I remember how I prayed while looking up to the sun during day and looking up to the moon during night. And whenever 11:11 PM, I wish that he's ok, that he'll debut. The feeling of having an anxiety thinking he might not be safe or is he fine physically and mentally or is he sleeping comfortably or is he eating well. Knowing that he almost has less screening time.
He was criticized, trended in a wrong way, hated for his 'translated' words, misunderstood for his actions, downgrading his skills and talents, a freaking article abt his b4d attitud3 which doesn't makes sense, was predicted to be eliminated..
He once lost hope, confidence and almost gave up.
Yet, a 14-year-old kid who was critized made his debut last November 30, 2020. His fancams now have millions of views. He's loved by many and maybe the most popular now. The fruit of his hardwork.
And I'm proud to say that during those times, I was there. Nikitties are there. We aren't his parents, sisters, relatives or even not his friends but whenever we see Ni-ki, proud is not enough. Proud is an understatement.

We're always busy with votings, creating accounts, phone numbers, etc. like we get tired but we never gave up. I haven't know much abt Japanese but all I know is that they're kind and brave.
People forgot Ni-Ki was only 14, speaking a foreign language and competing with older and wiser people than him. If I was in his shoes I would have faired worse and that why I rooted for him since!

Dang this kid learned and grow a lot throughout the show he's like a strong warrior in a child's body very fragile they didn't treat him as baby back then but a threat. I'm just glad that he successfully debuted as Enhypen member.. we're now seeing the baby side of him that is not struggling or competing to excel and be noticed.

To be honest, only Ni-ki, Jay and Sunoo caught my attention in the whole ILAND series. Not because of their personalities, but their struggle to become an Idol teaches them a lot of things, and I am happy that they experienced a roller coaster ride considering their age, especially Ni-ki who is the youngest..

They tried so hard to make him look selfish and evil but his real personality was there from the beginning, the pressure he had on was too much but he never treated anyone bad. He wasn't babied but his innocence shined through and that why he got to 4th place at the end and now he can be the cutest and craziest maknae with Enhypen where he belongs. 😭

Ni-ki was an angel send to ground.... Just imagine how will some grounders survive without his guide. Although he lost his confidence during the show, I am glad he never give up. I still remember how we voted for him in fear of his elimination. But all his struggle paid off and look at him now, the main dancer and dance leader in Enhypen, he is literally shining 😭❤️
as someone whose ni-ki’s age, i cannot even imagine myself in his place. in a foreign land, away from my family, so much pressure AND language barriers. like yeah no. props to him. my respect for him has literally sky rocketed. and honestly, i can absolutely understand his mindset on this show, wanting the best for yourself amongst people who aren’t really permanent is not selfish at all in my opinion.

i think what people forget the most is this is a survival show. the industry is not all sunshine and rainbows. ni-ki is young, at the time in international age he was only 14. he's so young and passionate and he came all the way from japan, leaving behind his friends and family and life as he knows it to pursue his dreams. sure, maybe he bit off a bit more than he could chew at the beginning, but was it necessary to attack him so much and call him selfish? a snake? he's just passionate and he always strives to do better. in ground, he continued to do his very best and push the others to debut as well. his heart is so big, he kept getting low scores and wanted to focus on himself, but he decided to help everyone else out practicing choreography. i'm happy for him now, to see him thriving on stage, but it stings a bit seeing all those heaps of praise, when just months ago people were throwing insults all around his name. please support him unconditionally, it must be so difficult for him.
Ni-ki was one of the youngest people on I-land so he got underestimated a lot and often got put in parts that didn't showcase his talent enough to be honest in my opinion he didn't get enough time to shin in i-land but I'm still glad that he got to debut and I'm still glad that he has the chance now to show is capability and was and is still my bias!
If your asking why Mnet evil edited Ni-ki(and some other i-landers), it's because Mnet wanted to raise the tension & add fuel to flames in order for the show to be more popular and gain viewers, however instead the I-landers received backlash and hate especially Ni-ki and K, due to MNET's evil editing

It's so sad how Ni-Ki was slowly losing confidence in debuting. On the 1st part when he said people don't really look at your skills and when he and Jake were talking and the way he said he gave up because he knew Taki was more popular than him. I really cried. To think that he had to go through this at such a young age.
But all is well now. He debuted and is receiving lots of love and attention. I may have not followed iLand (I would've probably been more devastated for him if I did) and it's around 2 years late but I'm happy that he debuted and can't be thankful enough for people who really put him as an Enhypen member. Ni-Ki is one of my favorite dancers in kpop of all time.

Ni-ki is wonderful. Many people say that Ni-ki does overaction and is a disgrace to Enhypen but all of that is not true. Ni-ki is very precious in fact he is the most amazing dancer at a small age. I dont know how Ni-ki was able to overcome all of this pressure at my age which of course i cant. Now I am very happy to see Ni-ki in Enhypen. Ni-ki is playful, cheerful, happy, and hard working including the other members. So everyone stan enhypen.
It's hurt to look back at how Niki suffer to become the Maknae of Enhypen. It's sad to know that people misunderstood and criticized him, he's just a young boy who's desperate to fulfill his dream, and it makes me feel bad to see how others doesn't treat him like a maknae even though he's one.......... But now that he debut I'm so proud of him, he's now one of the best dancer/performer in the k-pop industry
Riki is such a strong boy! He leave his home at such a young age and work hard to reach his dream. But of course, every journey have the dark time that people should go through. A lot of people critics him and say that he is selfish. I understand, this is survival show, everyone want to debute. The most heart breaking thing is that everyone forget he is still young and have no one to open up... They keep putting pressure on him. Well, everyone in this show have been put to a lot of pressure, so im not surprise if they keep scolding the member or say something that quite harsh to them. But Riki, he is such a brave person. I'm happy he is in ENHYPEN. Despite all the critism, he still fight through it, and proof that he deserve to debute. Nishimura Riki, Fighting!
Niki really deserved that position in Enhypen. His journey is the most heartbreaking journey out of all the others and he deserved it. I really thank the fans who voted for him.
He's not selfish. It's just that, he's too young to make good decisions. He really care about other and hate to see dissapointed to his member that's why. I'm so proud you ni-ki you did a great job. I love you.

It was very emotional but very rewarding at the same time to cheer for NI-KI during the show because he improved and progressed like a miracle.
To me I feel that jay Niki and sunoo had the hardest time in iland their path to debut is filled with thorns but they don't give up, they bounce back up.

you'll know how Ni-ki struggled so bad, just look his first arrival in i-land and the second day he was there, he got so thin.
The part when, I think K said:
“We can’t understand you, when you don’t speak.”
And Ni-ki was just looking down, was so heartbreaking. It’s so sad when you want to express your feelings freely, but you can’t because of language barrier. It brings back memories.. 😢😢😢

@@Marv1383 sorry for my late reply, but I just wanna make it clear. What K said was not about the language barrier but about Ni-Ki not expressing his feelings. Every time K started scolding him, Ni-Ki mostly didn't say anything back or walked away. K wanted Ni-Ki to speak up and explain what's on his mind and why he did what he did - changing the choreo, not listening to the leader. Ni-Ki was desperate, K thought he's just selfish and yes, K couldn't understand him since K never was in danger of elimination. Ni-Ki should just open up and talk about that but he couldn't. He was only 14 after all, second maknae after Daniel, though many i-landers/grounders treated him like he's older and doesn't need any emotional support (nonsense). Plus, not only Ni-Ki but everybody in K's team had problems with openly sharing their opinions with K because he was tough as a leader.
Out of all the members in ENHYPEN, Ni-ki endured the most. He would work so hard to get a spot in i-land, but he would always remain in the ground. It got so bad where he was literally giving up, and that was a point that everyone in the i-land was overlooking. Ni-ki always looked so disappointed whenever he got a low scoring. I was so proud of him when he got 2nd after the third test.
The most heartbreaking part of this all is that he wasn't selfish. Plus, all the other members weren't treating him as a 14 year old boy. They saw him as a threat and thus treated him terribly. I was so angry when K kept scolding him. It broke my heart every time.
I was very excited and overjoyed when they announced Ni-ki as the 2nd debuted member. I was so proud of him.
He worked so hard, in dancing, singing etc. And I'm so proud of his journey and everything he jas accomplished now❤
My biggest flex is that I have stanned him since his first apperance in I-land.
He is a great example for everyone. Even though he struggles for himself without considering his teammates at first but he changed his attitude after k advice and became selfless. He works hard until he became the top and was able to debut. Fighting
This whole comment is referring to Dna performance only. All viewers know how good is he in dancing and how he helped others in those area before. Let's support enhypen.

He was considering his teammates. The editing and k's words made it seem like he wasn't.
He was helping his teammates LONG before K’s comments. Honestly K was way too hard on him. It wasn’t like he made up his own choreography for one - it was something V did plus it was a BTS challenge and the producers had made a huge deal about it being an “individual’s” test not a group one. Also, K’s comment about him being selfish was ridiculous. K had not been in ground to see how much Ni-Ki ‘took the lead’ and helped ALL ground members. If K would have asked anyone there, every person could talk about a time Ni-ki helped them. K was always one of my favorite performers but he definitely had arrogance/control issues that he needed to work on. (It took his whole group confronting him about it before he started to change). He was way older than Ni-Ki and Ni-Ki looked up to him so much, K could have handled this so much better.
Ni-Ki was working so hard and all the I-landers/Grounders loved him. If he was so selfish and only thought of himself no one would like him.
Ni-Ki is a sweetheart and was from the 1st ep. The editing was just horrible!
@Chelsea Graham I get why you’re upset, I was also Ni-Ki biased, but I understand why K did what he did. They were close, so it wasn’t like K just used his ‘power’ as a leader to be rude. He did what was best for the team at the end. He could have done it in a nicer way, but just how Ni-Ki was frustrated when teaching those in the ground, so was K. Plus they’re all humans lol. Anyway, it was the past. They both learned and for the better

it’s so sad to see all what he has been through to this point, he had rough paths like not being able to communicate well, other members scolding him, him not being able to perform well enough and bringing himself down. i just love him so much and he was so young for it:(

watching this again made me cry so much. when you witness his growth as a person and an idol you will be more than the word proud. his success was my success. i am proud on how far he become now. ppl hating on him for clout or maybe because they are insecure and jealous on how successful he is at the young age. he is one of the strongest person i've ever known.
knowing and stanning him was the best decision of my life. he saved my miserable life. i love him so much and i will always support him until the end.
