This is probably the best breakdown and conversation of this incident I've seen. Carragher and his mates are absolutely full of it, sucking up and doing as Sky Sports says. Absolute sell outs. These 2 are completely spot on. Great content lads 👏🏻
The crux of the issue is the arrogance amongst the PGMOL. Week in week out, awful, awful decisions, yet nothing is done. No accountability, no responsibility, deflecting blame and sweeping the issues under the rug. Any other job in the world, when you make a mistake you sit down, you analyse it and you correct it. Why don’t the English referees do this? Players and coaches will watch clips of a game when they lose (or win) and look at where they can improve to work on it in training. Why don’t the referees? Enough is enough.
Liverpool have had some ridiculous calls go against and some none calls for the past years. Wolves likewise. VAR is suppose to make wrong right but they're doing worse than the on field refs
Whether he had a yellow prior is besides the point. That tackle is red card worthy. And VAR not wanting to change the decision? Yet they changed it for saliba.
Even in cricket there were some controversial decisions, most importantly the LBW ones, they added snickometre and ball trajectory system's and even then they added Review system per innings for both teams and to make it transparent the 3rd Umpire made it play on screen in front of crowd and even the communication for the ongoing decision. Now there's hardly any controversy even when the decisions are much tougher in compared to Football. This is how the trust of fans is restored and usage of technology optimised, and here in Football which is far easier they introduced VAR to curb down the human errors they have made it more complicated and controversial. It's absolutely misuse of it and corruption as even after so much backlash the PGMOL neither admits nor does it improve. 😊
I'd like to see the proof of the online abuse as Michael Oliver isn't on any social media platforms but I think it's possible he's said this to cause a distraction of the underlying problems with him against Arsenal. Some of the other fans have said this but my gut feeling is that I don't think he has but more on the lines of angry fans that rightfully have spoken up. I think when fans spend there hard earned money to go to the games that they do reserve the right to speak out against injustice and foul play when it's been happening consistently. Think those who claim to have been abused need to produce proof. I wouldn't trust Michael Oliver at all.
VAR does not make sense because they are there to correct the on field referees mistake and they are not doing that and just keep agreeing with every decision by the on field referees
Michael Oliver said his studs went down his achilles heel and that’s why he showed the red card, VAR agreed it was a red card, but he only stood on his foot, so how did VAR not see that and told him he got it wrong?
