Fair decision. He stamped on a players ankle at speed sending the player flying . In front of the ref ....the ball was 10 METERS away and he feels it's ok to cheat and stamp on the guys ankle ? ..it was the fact it was so blatant and callas and cynical ....
It's not the aggression or the danger of the challenge its the ceek of Lewis skelly to think you can just get away with it . Tripping on the counter is one thing stamping on a players ankle when he is in full flight when the ball has long gone . No . Cheating . And why are all these clowns jumping on it ? The young man will learn a lesson and hopefully not stamp on a players ankle in front of technology ref again . Silly silly challenge and a red all day for the brazen nature of the challenge.

VAR should be a team of Spaniards who don’t speak a word of English. They just have 5 buttons, no card, yellow, red, offside, not offside. That’s it.
They have no affiliation with one team over another, they are not influenced by a bunch of British refs because they don’t even speak the same language. That’s how it should be.

The crux of the issue is the arrogance amongst the PGMOL. Week in week out, awful, awful decisions, yet nothing is done. No accountability, no responsibility, deflecting blame and sweeping the issues under the rug.
Any other job in the world, when you make a mistake you sit down, you analyse it and you correct it. Why don’t the English referees do this? Players and coaches will watch clips of a game when they lose (or win) and look at where they can improve to work on it in training. Why don’t the referees? Enough is enough.

Even in cricket there were some controversial decisions, most importantly the LBW ones, they added snickometre and ball trajectory system's and even then they added Review system per innings for both teams and to make it transparent the 3rd Umpire made it play on screen in front of crowd and even the communication for the ongoing decision. Now there's hardly any controversy even when the decisions are much tougher in compared to Football. This is how the trust of fans is restored and usage of technology optimised, and here in Football which is far easier they introduced VAR to curb down the human errors they have made it more complicated and controversial. It's absolutely misuse of it and corruption as even after so much backlash the PGMOL neither admits nor does it improve. 😊

I'd like to see the proof of the online abuse as Michael Oliver isn't on any social media platforms but I think it's possible he's said this to cause a distraction of the underlying problems with him against Arsenal. Some of the other fans have said this but my gut feeling is that I don't think he has but more on the lines of angry fans that rightfully have spoken up. I think when fans spend there hard earned money to go to the games that they do reserve the right to speak out against injustice and foul play when it's been happening consistently. Dermot Gallagher came out today and in fairness says it should have been a yellow which is on UA-cam. Yes I can say wholeheartedly that their is a conspiracy against a corrupt official called Michael Oliver who's got a dislike for Arsenal for reasons he only knows as It's happened way too many times consistently for it to be coincidence and needs investigating! Think those who claim to have been abused need to produce proof. I wouldn't trust Michael Oliver at all.

The problem you've got is mates protecting mates from making mistakes. Doesn't matter which way it goes.
If the guys on VAR and the referees on the pitch were not acquainted and/or could not directly speak to each other, the decisions would be completely impartial.
It's been suggested already in the comments (and I don't wanna take credit), but the VAR should have a few buttons that send recommendations to the on-pitch referee. Beyond that, no communication.

Police have "the complaints" to investigate issues that arise. They are not mates of the rest of the rank and file they are investigating. And, generally speaking, it works!

This isn’t a what about us thing but…. Last season Liverpool had the onside goal ruled off, doku penalty and Odegard playing basket ball in our box. Had we won these games we would have won the league. I know this isn’t how it works but I guess arsenal fans can understand the frustration in this. I believe they have it out for certain managers as now klop is gone we don’t have controversial decisions. Something needs to be done about it.

Can see how that’s a red. If Curtis jones is a red for slipping over the ball then studs to the leg with no intention of getting the ball is a red

Totally different scenario tho no? Tbh i disagree with curtis being a red but his studs are planted in his opponents ankle while skellys studs are planted in the side of his boot

@ no they’re not. Watch the replay. His boots are on the side of his leg and drag down to his boot. I’ve watched it over ten times. That’s defiantly a yellow and the fact it was a counter attack I can see why it was a red

@ well the pgmol have come out and said its a red card for serious foul play, so the counter attack isnt involved in their decision.
Curtis jones scrapes the ball and plants it on i think it was the ankle, it was high anyway meaning its dangerous. However yes skelly touches the ankle but the only major contact is with the side of the foot, which isnt dangerous nor serious foul play.

Robbie brings his narrative whichever program he comes on. I seen nobody discuss Endo nearly getting his head chopped off and all the culprit got was a yellow after VAR check. That could have been a career ending injury. Arsenal won the game, justice was served. Robbie does not talk about decisions going against Tottenham for the corner which was not a corner, they could not have won that game without that and then the 12 Arsenal players against Man U 10.
