Agreed, it is time India as a advanced country accept single women as a choice of life and there is nothing wrong in being a single women and it's a choice and not a punishment
My future seems to be very dark but one thing I know about my future that I'm not gonna marry ever in my life.
Why madam 😭😭😭😭. give me some tips how to stay fearless.
@@Ayeshakhan-sj8ey 👍👍👍
It's called self annihilating attitude.
Nothing will b in dark. Don't be negative, enjoy ur singlehood now and in future. Nature bless you.
Right decision.. 🤞
Being single or not is totally a personal choice. Our culture simply has not yet understood the mere manners of not invading in others personal life.. ashamed of this culture. 👎🏽
This culture sucks
This is everywhere in world.
Not because of culture but it's because of biology.
Exactly
@THE ZOLDICS Agreed, it's everywhere but people don't shame single people as much as they fi here.. Anyone who thinks otherwise is simply trying to be blind...
There are many single woman without complaining about society. Many of my teachers were single ladies. Never had problem
So Can a single/divorcee woman live alone on her own in India in her own property like a flat/Apartment ? Is it safe ?
@@henabedi you want married
I want a beautiful woman
is it safe to live single life ??
@@henabedi yes
Your talk proves how hollow and sad you feel inside. I also travel alone but never felt others were alarmed to know my marital status. You can always say you never found the right man. Be proud of your choices. Women also get widowed, divorced. This is life.
Any healthy women will feel incomplete without man and child in life, and its normal to feel so.
Anyone who says otherwise is lying to herself and to society.
Absolutely. She sounds totally sad and defensive.
@@bullseye6969 not really! Don’t speak for all! There r so many couples who choose a childfree life. Not everyone wants to become a mum-dad. Also there r people who want to dedicate their life towards service(nursing) some people become nun/monks too
@@bullseye6969because a man said that to her

Single woman life in India is very painful. Lot of endurance is required.
Why Madam 😭😭😭
Pain har jagah h.. Yehi toh life h...
Beaing single is msg to the world
Single women are brave women.
kuch bhi
That resonated..thank you !
Every year I remain single, I feel I'm adding an extra year to my life. 😇
are you indian women ?
Beautifully put.
While her narrative was very relevant, it's her reading from a written script that kept on distracting me and felt sort of half-hearted. The delivery could certainly do with some passion as the subject is something that she so passionately feels about and represents as a single woman.
Her body posture and mental state is like she is going through lowest point of her life and nothing better coming even in future.
Not smart to consider her as example.
Travelled the whole world for work... literally more days on out of the country than in the country for four years in a row... got held by immigration a couple of times... seeing the stamps on my passport... NEVER ONCE did anyone bother about my marital status... never never never... no one asks my parents about me... no one asks me... and I have old friends... beautiful friends... wonderful colleagues... seniors and juniors who never ever mentioned it twice... or pass sly remarks. At best, I get blessed by people who love me... that I too should find my soulmate soon... with a lot of love... even my gynec told me not to worry and live my life as best I can.. to eat, sleep, and exercise ... she'll take care of anything that comes in the way of anything...
This is not India... saying being single and not being criticized for it doesn't sell... being victimized sells... she is a sales person... and is selling what she needs to sell... doesn't have to be right or true.
Well it's law of supply and demand, people like to hear victimised women stories so she is selling it 😎
Not really she may be as honest as you.. every person has different experiences and mostly attitude does play a role as well .if you are worried about something it somehow starts reflecting on you..in your case you may be carefree so is my case but the moment I start reflecting based on societal standards somehow it start getting bothersome...she is sensitive of having been on the receiving end and narrating her story
@@shehlaadhami7506 you’re right... so maybe we can draw the conclusion that... neither is she right , not am I... but if you’re single and if you want to feel victimized, you may do so at your own leisure ... if you do not that too can be taken care of... so let’s not blame our society... attitude is a choice... 😉🤩
@@nmtbc3619 Yes absolutely ..when our intentions and choices are true to ourselves societal misbehavior which we do face can never sabotaging
Good... don't breed...stay single....
My man. 😂
So sweet.
These are the common but bitter statements for spinsters in india.
Thankyou for posting this 💕
What I can gather from her entire monologue - Sheer "NEGATIVITY"
My mallu mil, blamed me for not hvng kids, thn turned out the problem was wth my hubby,bt my hubby had no issues,he never ever pressured me ,evn whn he was told to go fr test ,he immediately got it done,he was evn ready fr adoption ,evn wthout knowing the problem,he is asthmatic, drugs hv their side effects,bt he was my support system ,my mil was humiliated after knowing the truth, she kept pretending,I had to go thru a lot ,finally had two kids, the second one was not wanted by my in laws,bt a son proved lucky😏😏😏😏😏
Strong woman ! However, you will need a Strong Man to date as well.
And a strong man doesn't need a strong woman so yeah it ends before it even starts! Forever alone! Lmao

No need, we are happy to be single
My friend was happiest when he was on weed😜😜😜😜😜😜😜
Common. Still. Same happened with me 2 years back. How come your man is somewhere else and you are traveling with your parents? Forget abt dignity. 😊..

2. Curious to know career prospects of Bollywood movie journalists. May be some other day, some other Tedx talk...
3. 38 and unmarried and blaming Bengali marriage ceremony and traditions of late...I am not making two and two four
4. I never saw anyone delivering (unless unwell) or rather reading it out directly from paper while seating at a chair at Ted or TedX....why....not comfortable of your physicality (poor girl in front of preying hyenas) or not confident of your oratory?
