LOL!!! did you not hear me shouting "Load mission" into the screen :D nice one! INAV 6 makes the turns smoother and attempts to pass over the actual waypoint location.
Really liking these videos mate - on the days that I can't get out to fly (sometimes even if its sunny due to personal lack of time) it is nice to be able to watch these and at least enjoy seeing someone else having a good time!
Haha, I did say a 'slightly' more advanced mission. Tbf I was gonna try draw a c*ck and balls, but realised I was running low on time and battery, so will save that for the next flight 😋
18:00 I've heard that waypoint missions on a fixed wing aircraft can be really handy if you wanna say, map 5000 acres of land without flying it manually for hours
Been flying INav for 6+years and still haven't touched waypoints, even though I have it enabled on ally planes. Will get to it at some point. I got pan&tilt head tracking on some planes it would be nice to just look around and take in the scenery without having worry about the sticks, but similar to you I enjoy flying my planes myself
Glad I'm not the only one. I used to own a DJI Phantom 3 that could do loads of automated manoeuvres as well as waypoints, but I never used the features on that either. I like to be the pilot, I like to do the flying myself. What's the fun in sitting there whilst the aircraft fly's itself lol
@@gizfpv Yeah, like I remember watching old long range videos of the plane flying autonomously while the pilot would literally just watch the telemetry data on a map (not even the FPV feed) and I wondered how flipping boring that must be. I feel like the technology is there to aid your flight not replace it
Nice work - I wonder, is there an ability to dampen the turns so that they're not so abrupt? Perhaps it's due to the airframe being a little small, but yea.. it might make for a nicer feel to the flight, less robotic I guess?

Altitude in Centimetres...?..really? The iNAV software engineers really are sadists IMO....lol ...Why do they think this is okay?....Answers on a Postcard...🤔🤔😏😏🇬🇧
I was more mind-boggled by having to move the stick to uhh... "load" a mission that's already loaded in the eeprom. Isn't it enough to have waypoint mode on a switch I wonder? Maybe iNav can load missions from different sources with different stick movements?

You can indeed save multiple missions and choose between them with stick commands. But when you save to eeprom in INAV configurator and disconnect usb without a battery connected, the eeprom forgot the mission, thats why you have to load the mission “again”. EDIT: eeprom is where the mission is stored of course…. The Flightcontroller forgot the mission when power is lost. But same principle…
@@13FPV Now I'm even more confused. In any case, when there is only one mission it might be nice to just use that when waypoint mode is triggered, regardless of whether the stick command was done or not.
On my next vid I'll try remember to make a point to show how to do it. It wasn't complicated tho, pretty sure all I did was connect my phone to my xfire WiFi
Lol I did the same mistake, I did not load the mission, lol. What I going to do next is to flight in low power like 10 milliwatts and loose radio transmission, and let the plane flight the mission by itself and then return. Lol

Is that what that noise was 😂 Oh nice, was actually thinking yesterday I might update the firmware on my T1, it's currently on inav 4 lol

Great video!! I’ve got to jump in and learn this stuff! Thanks so much for sharing with us!!! Oh, you have a fantastic an beautiful flying site!!!

*adds one waypoint*

I did a c*ck and balls last year, right when the app supported the “draw on a map feature” and posted it on the TBS FB group… 😂👌🏻
You can use google maps in INAV mission planner - you need to get yourself a key from google - all detailed by painless360
It’s Bing maps. But just the same.
@@13FPV yeah, bing maps
Oh I didn't realise you needed a key. I did try loading bing maps in the field but it didn't work. I'll look into that for next time

Awesome flying, dude! Really nice! 😃
Thanks for testing the way points! Pretty cool!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Oh absolutely. I was just thinking more from a hobbyists perspective I think. But for sure, for mapping it would be ideal

I'm almost certain you can yes. There's a whole load of settings you can tweak for waypoints that I haven't even thought of touching yet
What a beautiful location to film at
Yeah I'm pretty lucky to have locations like this near by 🙂
That was fun!
