Koji has been enjoying an incredible start to his 12th year in professional baseball in Japan. He's thrown 15 scoreless innings and has recorded the highest K/9 rate of his career. Would you be interested in following along with the progressions of some other international pitchers who train with us?
@@kengo8311 We realized after posting the video that Farm teams in Japan go by the same name as their Big League teams, which is kind of confusing because that's not how it is in the States. He just got called up, so we'll see how he does. During the past month, though, he has been dominating the farm teams. Sorry about the confusion.
Wow, great work guys! U pushed Koji nicely! When u showed him the grips at the end, I was bouncing my head hearing M&M! Move yourself in the moment Koji!! 😉 😜
Since you're mic'ed up, would be amazing if you spoke to yourself too - like what you're referring to when you're saying "so close". And those camera shots at the grip.... those are "so close" lol. Can't quite tell what you're doing
We typically only have the two static angles, so we're stuck with whatever angle they're showing the grip with. Unfortunately, they don't always face the camera. 🤷♂️ It's much easier to see the grip if you watch on a laptop/computer screen though!
It's great that technology and sports science has come as far along as this. There's no way of knowing and irrelevant idea but i can't help but wonder if Nolan Ryan would have improved if this were implemented in his time. I don't think it would be significant to notice.
He needs to straighten out and keep his core tight. the wild movement towards the end of his delivery is contributing to his lack of power. (In game, as he gets tired, he will leave the strike zone and yard in some instances.) IMHO. Strength and Conditioning and tweaking is delivery. id say in 1-2 seasons he will be a BEAST BEAST!...after watching I was right. Head looking straight all the way through his approach and working on his push off from the rubber.
Your obsession with hitting a particular number for entertainment ruins his great pitches. Sighing in dissatisfaction everytime he doesn’t hit 93 isn’t coaching . Guys throwing dots
He came to us specifically to increase his average velocity and improve his arsenal so he could continue playing. There is a whole lot more that goes into his training than showing up and throwing a pen as hard as he could. Here's a small look at the other things he does, which also doesn't show the weight-lifting side either. ua-cam.com/video/uoFh5cYbQAA/v-deo.htmlsi=PPCkTeN1oNXrNtrm This was also a velo pen to raise his velocity floor. He also threw command pens to work on location and pitch shapes (ua-cam.com/video/AUkZpIVAM1w/v-deo.htmlsi=2q3qfSy8vJuBjBdp), but it's pretty easy to comment without knowing the context if you're not even going to try and understand the process.
I’ve noticed for a few years…46 yr old meow…that Most Japanese pitchers tap their mit while pitching…is that taught or cultural or?…sincerely interested
These guys aren’t coaches. Every video I watch they do nothing to actually help a pitcher improve. All they do is watch their computers and say “come on man you got this. Just one more.” If this guy wants to throw 93, like that is some kind of a magic number, he needs to stop flying open on his front side and he needs to load rotate into his stance leg more before delivering to the plate. It would help him generate more torque throw his front side and allow his throwing arm to whip throw the zone faster with less effort making the ball jump out of his hand.
I'm concerned that all you guys focus on is getting people to throw harder and have more spin -- you're hurting your customers' arms. This is the problem with pitching.

Another pitcher with the grip and rip it attitude that can’t throw 92 for a strike lol. Are people really sure they want to do away with the umpires? Lol
The fact that he can do all of that at just 11 years old is crazy
Your an idiot 😂
nigga he started 11 years ago... how tf do you think that a grown man looks 11

yes and more weightlifting/training vids
Not sure if this is meant to be misleading or just a mistake, but this is his farm stats - he hasn't pitched for the main team this year yet.

@@treadathleticswas going to comment about it, though it would probably be best to revise the title as it’s very misleading.
I read this as 11 year old and I was abt to quit baseball lol
thats the zaza thought i was the only one 😭😭🤣🤣
I love this!! Shows you how baseball is such a universal game.

I’ve always dreamed to go here for a day😭 feel like I could get good so much faster
This guy is an enabler
This guy would be an amazing starter in mlb
Colt 45 playing in the facility is a vibe 😂🔥
93マイルに執着する理由は93マイルはキロメートルに変換すると約150kmになります。mlbのほとんどの選手は150km以上のストレートを投げることができます。
Crazy rap at around 7:00 jn the background, great song

he doesn't need to throw a "93" he should just pitch his own style
What if he wants to pitch 93? What if that is the entire point of him being there?

when eminem came on around 10:30 i forgot the vid and started singing 😭😭
😮🎉
Nah lets give respect to Afro Man killing it in the background
How does he hit the mitt, he’s looking a first base at release.

Come on Tommy john surgery is calling!!!!
He is not 11 years old. He is a Japanese veteran who played 11 years in the Japanese Central and Western Leagues!

Honestly, not even a little surprised if an 11 year old Japanese is in the Big Leagues dominating.
I see training in the background but the vids are only about pushing and analytics. Inamaga ain't throwing 93 and crushing MLB rn
🤔
Been following NPB since 2009 and I've never heard of this guy. Good luck to him though!
I'm not quite sure what I watched, but it's interesting, lol.

21 and 11 wt actual F. That split is unhittable. You got a better chance swinging dirt and hitting it vladdy style off the bounce 😂.
Obsession with 93😅
