hehehe, me2.. walking from my bender to my computer all the time! small tip, when bending super hard copper, superlube works only "meh".. grr.. get the one with rollers
This is the most informative video I’ve seen on this style bender! I’ve been lost on how to effectively measure and bend brake lines until this video, thanks man!
Many thanks for your outstanding tube bending tutorial. It's the best one on You Tube, thanks to your great technical and people skills. I also appreciate how you explain the "R" and "L" on the tool. Although critical, many others just skip over that.
Thankyou for helping me learn instead of trying to impress me by showintg off with how much you know. That's what other UA-camrs do. Direct, to the point, no useless talk or two mintue intro with music and graphics that nobody wants to see or hear. Thankyou.
Just wanted to say thank you....but here's a question for some of the people who only have a 90 degree hand bender tool and need to make it a 135 degree bend or a 180 degree bend this would be a interesting help cause this is what I need to figure out after you showing me the basic of the bender that I'm using so again wanted to say thank you for all of who paid attention to this video.... Ty D.K.G.JR.
I know this is a demonstration but, one thing I like to do is roll the copper on a flat surface to correct any bends. Palms down, no fingers as in no gripping. 7/8 and 3/4 is tough regardless.
L means the tube is sticking out of of the left side of the tube bender and you are bending from the right and R means it’s sticking out of the right and you are bending from the left to what ever degree you want to bend it.

You would have to do two 90 degree bends in opposite directions to achieve the 180 degree bend.

Interesting tip.
1:52 that pipe made by my country
3:00 u said DMV is that Drainage Waste Vent?
Yes, it is DWV. My mistake. Thanks for pointing that out.
is this possible on steel? 6mm?
Yes, with a bender for that size.
What if I need to bend to different diameters?
Pipe benders come in different sizes for different diameters.
So L for 90° and R for 45° ???
L means the tube is sticking out of of the left side of the tube bender and you are bending from the right and R means it’s sticking out of the right and you are bending from the left to what ever degree you want to bend it.
Yes L is for 90° and R is for 45°.. the naming is so confusing
It's Called DWV.
Great information. How can I get in touch with you.? Instagram?
