For "lawful" the first definition is "allowed or permitted by law; not contrary to law". How is one definition substantially different from the other?
Being pregnant is "having a child or young developing in the uterus". Terminating a "pregnancy" would thus be to destroy that developing child, [constituting murder]. You terminated a pregnancy. Therefore you ended the development of a Child.
