Anyone tried turning around at the start of the isle and heading to the back where the door says "employees only" and going through the door? Probably takes some serious guts to get past the fear and dark aura from the atmosphere, and serious lucid dreaming skills... But has anyone went to the employees only section yet in these dreams?
The dream changes all the time for me. Sometimes it's in something as big as a toys r us, and then it goes to something as small as a walgreens. They might not even be assembled sometimes- but the common denominator is that I'm walking through a store, see a bionicle set, and freak out. It's gotten to the point where I even ask myself mid-dream "Wait, is this real? This only happens when I'm asleep."
Concerning the Walgreens bit, a Walgreens I went to a long time ago had a bin full of Glatorian Legends Mata Nui canisters. Anyway, this Dream of Bionicle has only happened to me once.
I miss Bionicle so much. The sets, characters, story, and world was so fascinating to me. It's sad that Bionicle was canceled twice. Let us come together and keep this franchise alive.
We know why is it Cancelled tho The Story became to complex for new people to get into it For the Most Part The Second Time the new one just didnt Sell well
@@sofaking7045 Yeah, but when you look at g1 and g2 side by side. Does it look like bionicle? no! they dissapointed us with the ccb crap and the story was just a bad revamp. well, that's my opinion
you know why transformers fans keep getting new toys? they keep buying the toys even when its shit and support the brand, without the financial support there is zero motive to revive a theme no one had interest in when rebooted
Okay everyone just stop! Seriously, how are we dreaming the same dream, who's doing this to us? Who's toying with our emotions?! What the hell is happening?
Then parents tell you no or disagrees with what you are getting, and you think you almost got your way, your dream either changes to something else or end up waking up from it, so yeah
These dreams have to be studied. I'm convinced there's some kind of paranormal phenomenon that's causing pretty much every single person who came into contact with Bionicle to have dreams like this. Why is it always about walking into a store and finding old sets still on sale? These dreams are always very specific in that regard and I'm convinced it's not merely coincidence anymore.
It's simple. You like the kits, you want the kits, but you can't get the kits unless you come across them by chance. Your brain knows the normal process to get the kit is to go to a specific shop, so it constructs a dream built around fulfilling your wish. Same thing happens to all fans of out of production products.
Usually it'll be an old pile I found that someone had thrown away or something, and it's full of ancient pre-2001 sets and prototypes that I've never seen before. Oddly specific, but I've never actually dreamed about seeing new sets on store shelves.
@@hyperorso4416 a dumpster, box at a garage sale, or the truck of my car! It’s always all the ones I want, plus weird rare variants I’ve never seen that the company never officially made (in the real world). Always sucks to wake up tho haha
it's terrifying to know that this is seemingly a common occurence amongst people, yet it's weirdly comforting to know i'm not alone in it, my dreams usually involve me going around toy fairs and expos and seeing the sets on sale but with different, unique packaging
Oh yes. I’ve definitely had the dream. For me, it’ll usually be a brand new lineup of never before seen characters, and I’ll be thinking “oh yeah I forgot they brought Bionicle back again”. The sets always have the coolest new designs too, nothing quite like what we’ve seen before but definitely familiar in a way. One dream I remember they were having this in-store promotional event to show off an up and coming Bionicle reboot, with the models all up on display in glass cases but not yet available for sale. I remember being super excited and chatting with the employees, asking them about the relaunch and all. But I don’t think I’ve ever had a dream where I actually get my hands on any of the sets. It’s always just seeing them in a store, sitting there so tantalizingly close, and maybe I’ll even pick up one of the boxes and start carrying it away with me. But I never get to open the packaging and actually feel the pieces in my hands. :[
I remember in my dream I was looking at ice toa character's canister. Character had white mask that was kind of like those "cold assault stormtrooper" face gear or noble rau.
I love how you said "I forgot they brought Bionicles back" like your brain subconsciously came up with the idea that you were gonna walk into this store and find Bionicles, and all you remember is a vague recollection of them announcing a Bionicles reboot. Dreams are so baffling
I’ve had the Bionicle dream so many times that I’ve trained my subconscious to recognize that it’s actually just a dream, so that while I’m having it I automatically realize “wait, this isn’t real” and I’ll probably start crying in-dream and wake up immediately after.
SAME. my brain won’t allow it to be real, so as soon as I inspect the bonks, they become some bootleg version so that I’ll remain immersed enough not to wake up.
For me, whenever I had this dream, I remember when I touched a canister, all of a sudden I was dropped into one of the bionicle islands/settings. One I remember was where I was falling forever in Karda Nui while seeing the toa fighting the makuta
The best thing about that dreams was the fact that you always think something like: *"Ah, yes, Bionicle of every year, line, type and shape on one shelf in some random store. What an absolutely normal situation."*
The most nefarious ones are when the Bionicle sets _don't_ take up entire aisles. Like, a corner of the Lego aisle, maybe- somewhere something like that _should_ be. Because then it's _just believable enough_ to pass for reality, and it hurts _so much worse_ upon waking up...
Lol I remember one dream I was like oh sweet they got Brutaka and some Phantoka! Must be a new store 🤷🏼♂️🤣 I couldn’t think too hard about it in the dream because I was like what year is this and the dream collapsed and I woke up 🥵
Not for me, iv only had the dream once, and for me i was a kid again in a Toys r Us and i stumbled into one of the isles only to look up and see all the sets where lining the shelves, with the shelf's reaching to the ceiling and in stead of thinking "This is normally" i was aw struck at the seer majesty of seeing them all once again and all in one place. A truly magical experience for me.
When I have The Dream there are always other excited fans in the aisle with me. There’s no shoving or struggle to get the new sets, just this camaraderie and knowledge that we are all there out of love for this franchise and the shared experience. I like to imagine we are all in the dream, linked beyond time and space by little pieces of plastic.
Mine typically take place at K-mart. The K-mart I used to go to was always getting progressively worse in terms of keeping shelves stocked or putting out new product. So it was common to see older sets or sets that may have been lost in the back of house randomly show up on shelves. It was always cool having a chance at sets I missed out on, but I still never really got very many of them unfortunately. My dreams are always of going to that toy aisle and being in awe at mostly barren shelves with nothing but misc Bionicle sets from every year.
There may be another way. There's this store I've heard of called Bricks and Minifigs where they allow customers to trade in or sell sets, and then resell used sets. They will even have employees use stickers to verify the sets if they have all their intended pieces. You could get lucky enough to encounter some Bionicle sets.
@@taqresu5865 I went there for the first time 2 weeks ago. Very lovely store you can choose the blocks you want and put them in a bag to buy them in bulk. You can even buy brickarm weapons in packs or Bionicle helmets individually.
@@digitalcthulhu143 It sounds really cool. I haven't visited one yet, but the ability to buy Bionicle masks individual sounds very exciting (and I hope that includes the collectable Kanohi from the Toa Mata and Nuva).
In Puerto Rico we don’t have lego store, but after I move into USA and found for the first time a lego store. Is a dream come true, but Bionicle was canceled at that time.
Yep I had my Bionicle dream just the other day Recently I've gotten back into Bionicle again out of nowhere tbh And I work full time and have all kinds of things going on but I still remember the best toys ever My dream I had goes like this ... I'm at some store in my dream I turn down a row and ... WOW 2006 Bionicle sets all on the shelves (2006 is my favorite year) I see so many sets of Vezon and Fenrakk, Brutaka Axonn and sets of Umbra The Piraka are there and of course the Toa Inika my heroes in the time before time And my favorite Bionicle ever Toa Matoro So yeah and some other sets as well ya know like from 2007 2008 and so on some other ones but 2006 was the main sets And I was ready to buy all 2006 sets right there Then just as fast as it came it was gone :'( Bionicle the best toys ever
Dude, I can't even begin to count how many time's I've had this dream. I always got my Bionicle sets from Toys R Us as a kid with my grandmother, and every time I have the dream, I'm at that store. I'm walking through massive aisles of toys, and come across COMPLETELY new Bionicle sets- characters that were never real. Rarely do I see sets of characters that ARE real. The new sets are almost always in HUGE boxes, with really epic artwork. I recall seeing new vehicles, massive titan sets, small Matoran and creatures- a huge variety of things. The dream always ends with me loading up the shopping cart. Wild shit.
My dreams usually take place in flea markets or other odd stores you wouldn't expect them, but it's not impossible to find them. Oddly most of the sets are 2005-07, some times there will be a few toa Mata mixed in. I'm always left depressed when I wake up from them.
The last Bionicle dream I had was different from the usual I have: I was looking online at official, newly released Bionicle themed merch. But they were all weird things I was putting into my cart like a hoodie with the a printed outline of the UK on it but it was coloured to look like different places were the elemental biomes (like scotland was the ice Toa's region). There was also a framed collage of Gen 1 promotional art featuring mostly Tahu Mata.
I have this dream every couple weeks. Usually it's all the old sets I never got, dusty and hidden in the very back of some small, local store. But the frustrating part is that I immediately think "Wow, I always dream about this, and now I'm seeing it in real life!" Every. Single. Time.
I have store dreams frequently but I haven't had a Bionicle one for years now. I do dream a lot of other types of collectible toys and books though. My old Bionicle dreams used to be all over the place and they were about both the toys and media. Sometimes I'd find rare promo posters or catalogs, or a book that detailed the Bionicle story's origins. I also often blend the Miramax movies together or dream of additional scenes. There was also a recurring dream about a game that was like a 3D version of MNOG I and II. Most of the toy-related dreams were about finding actual '01-'03 sets in small toy shops, mainly Bohrok. There's definite real life inspiration for this, since I spent lots of time looking at store shelves back then without having money to buy anything. In 2006 I visited a real store that still sold lots of older sets but I could only get one. I still regret not going back for the rest, so perhaps this inspired all those dreams. Imaginary dream-sets are rarer. One time I came across a special pack of three blue figures in one dream, don't remember which ones though. Another dream had what appeared to be a 3 foot tall Toa Nokama that looked like a detailed model of her movie design rather than a buildable set, but I only saw its box on the top of a shelf and couldn't get closer. I also had a couple similar dreams of finding discarded Bionicle pieces and masks in random places like on the side of a road, under the dirt. This is also somewhat based in reality since I once found a Lego Castle wall piece in the ground on a hiking trip, and my dad once found an intact Turaga Onewa head on the yard of his workplace.
Mine was mostly 2005 titan sets, it was in a toys r us and the aisle was mostly dark green to fit with the package colors. Crazy how we all had this sort of dream! I thought I was the only one lol.
I ended up having this dream again recently, it was actually presented as a kind of event by Lego in where they brought every set back. What's funny is that it had been _years_ since I last thought about bionicle, and that recent dream made me go through a kind of an internet search binge for bionicle stuff.
That’s crazy that other people have had these dreams. I’ve had a couple of them myself and my most recent one was a couple of years after Bionicle was discontinued and I hadn’t even thought of them since then. But I was basically in my childhood Toy R Us which had closed down back in 2004. But every single isle had a bionicle play set, and all of them were completely new sets in completely new colors. There were Toas who were Purple, Orange, Pink, and Rainbow.
I've only had this dream once. They weren't specifically Bionicle branded, however the design was distinct and iconic. They came in simple, rectangular, cardboard boxes like smaller lego sets, but hung on a hook from the top. None of the sets were uniform, a variety of vaguely humanoid forms and also more beast like figures, shewing away from the primary colors of old instead for natural tones of maroon, black, metallic, orange, and tan. They had heavy first year design motifs, but rather than the large proprietary torso and limb pieces they were almost entirely techinic in construction. It's hard to say how big the sets were, how complex the build was, or how posable the figures could be. All there was were the boxes, picture of the figures on the front with beautiful yet sureal environments painted behind them. It's funny, I've had dreams of fantastical toy or lego stores like the ones in Shibuya or Manhattan; Crazy gigantic displays, endless isles, and almost art deco designs/architecture. I had one after buying the big Destiny's Bounty and Ninjago City even. But this particular dream was hardly a toy store. More like a white void with narrow isle ways, like a pharmacy or dollar store if they were more tidy and less cluttered.
If anyone's hispanic, you'll know countries like Mexico usually had older waves still on their toy store shelves or Walmarts. They were (sometimes) two years behind... so: I'll dream about going to Mexico, and somehow a family member takes me to a store that's has older sets. I'll admire and gawk over them, put as many as I can on my cart, and in my dream logic, think it's real because "Mexico always had older waves still." Silly little variant from all you i guess.
Latino here, happened in my country too, in my dreams the excuse I put about why are them on the shelf at my local low-end toy shop is because they had them hidden in the back or nobody picked them up. I rememer actually going to that store once and asking if they had anything from 2011 or before som years ago, they said they didn't. I really was hoping to put my hands on a bionicle set that day, even if it was a crappy one
I've never had dreams about anything else like Bionicle. I grew up with Transformers, Halo Mega Bloks, and classic lego star wars. Yet Bionicle is the only one that keeps coming back to me.
I specifically remember dreaming about seeing a dark red/keetorange Bionicle set in a LEGO store. The character was surfing on lava, but I don’t think it was Tahu because the mask looked different from all the evolutions of the Kanohi Hau. As for the build, I think it was a mixture of CCBS and the old Bionicle system parts.
Ngl, most of the time when I have the dream, it’s of the old sets at goodwill or at the back of an unknown store. The worst part that has been happening FREQUENTLY, is once I go to grab them, they slowly turn into bootlegs. Then I wake up sad knowing that not only did I not get those sets, but that even in my dream they’re bootlegs 😭
It's so strange that this is actually such a huge thing in the community. I'm 22 and I to this day still get these dreams quite frequently. I just think that the feeling we got back then was so strong, that we subconsciously long for that childhood wonder of seeing a new set on shelf's, that we actually dream about it.
A few times I had the dream too. It's often about unknown sets I never heard about, and I usually panick because I don't have any money to buy them. One time it was about a "moon environment" line of sets, another one with revamps of Toa Mata with incredible new pieces, armor and masks. Then I wake up and realize that reality is a b****
Its weird because I had the same dream about moon environment sets and having no money for them lol. In my dream that set had cool arts depicting bionicle enemies crawling from craters and caverns. This is just nuts to think what could have been.
In my dream, it’s always the sets I never had but always wanted. I walk around the store until I find the Bionicle isle all of a sudden and there’s no one there, it seems as if I was the one who just rediscovered it back on sale. I empty my bank account on as many sets as I can, but I never make it out of the store the dream always comes to an end. It’s different sets every time but I usually remember a specific one when I wake up. Ive never had a dream where I walk out of the store with the Bionicles it always all takes place inside. I’ve been having these dreams for years.
in my most recent dream like this, my local walmart had found an old shipment of the 2007-8 sets that they never sold, and once i grabbed all of them i woke up
Mine are always a used toy or antique store, and it's usually either canister sets or boxed sets of any kind. I do remember one dream where I found a bunch of loose sets from 2005 on a shelf in a store.
The dreams I have mainly involve the bohrok. Sometimes they're the old sets and sometimes they're new colored bohrok (like one that has a black and orange theme) but regardless if they're the old sets or these new colors they both come in new packaging. Not containers but the boxes.
I haven't been active in the Bionicle fandom in a really long time, so I had no idea that I wasn't the only one who had these type of dreams. For me, as an Australian kid, it was usually a K-Mart, a Target, or rarely a Hobbyco, sometimes a nondescript toy store that would only appear in these dreams. Mostly it was just old canister sets that never got sold for some reason (Toa Mata, Bohrok, Toa Nuva), and I would always find myself surprised and happy that they were still there. They'd usually be in some hidden corner of the store. Sometimes they'd be out of their containers, and I assumed that a kid had taken them out and assembled them. Once I had a dream of boxed titan versions or revamps of titans like Teridax or Takanuva. Another time, I got a dream where there were knock-off Bionicles fully assembled in plastic, not even in canisters, and for some reason that made me angry.
Ironically, I've never had "the dream" when it comes to BIONICLE. I have had versions of that dream pertaining to other things I've wanted in my life, though, so I'm aware of the phenomenon.
For me i was born in 2004 and I only got into the series in it's decline (very late 2008 to 2010) and I was equally crushed to hear about it's cancelation. I grew up with hero factory and I got pretty much every set that released but it always was a substitution for getting Bionicle and I got old sets whenever I could. Every time I created a MOC I made a Bionicle, not a hero. Nonetheless I still occasionally have the Bionicle dream and the it's usually featuring sets that were long discontinued by the time I got into it. The dream wasn't really about nostalgia for me, but about what I missed out on, what I wanted but never truly had. I feel this way with many of the franchises I've followed like TF2 that I got into long after it's prime. This is what the Bionicle dream means to me and I hope other can relate with me.
I had this dream multiple times in my childhood. But now, as an adult, I had this dream 2 times and... wtf ? I dreamed about bionicle but I wasn't interested by Bionicle since a long time. So... In the first dream, I was in a big supermarket and there were a whole place for bionicle : old bionicles prototypes and rare characters exhibited. There was like a new set of Teridax and this was amazing. I bought it and then... the dream stopped. The other dream was in a small Toy'sRus, there were old Bionicles sets from differents series. And I stole them (wtf), I remember stealing Baraki, Phantoka and Inika.
Every single time I have this dream, it's always at a Wal-Mart and I see the same bionicle characters everytime. It's always the Toa Nuva. Though specifically it's always Toa Nuva Onua I'm always drawn to. Weird thing is that I still don't own the set. Sometimes I'm drawn to Toa Gali and sometimes even Rahkshi but that's about it
So incredibly relatable. Bionicle is back on shelves in my reoccurring dreams and I've had these dreams hundreds of times. It's usually the sets I missed out on like the Toa Mata, Bohrok ECT (because I was young had no job). I fall for it every time and I wouldn't have it any other way
I am SO GLAD you made this video cause like many I thought I was the only one! I still have a dream like that, going to a specific store I used to buy a ton of Bionicle from and I go in there today and they SOMEHOW have 2001-2002 sets left over (which is actually something that’s happened to me before)!
Got bionicle dreams at least once in a few months, the shop varies from lego shop and just local hobby shop, and the set varies from new never before seen set to old sets, and that joy and feelings i have in those dreams... The best feeling ever
The most similar thing I ever went through was in fall 2009, I went to a toy shop and I saw a huge dented manas box at the bottom of a pile of other lego boxes. I was really doubtfull about buying it, especially because at that time I was a 13-year-old child with his expected economy but I finally bought it and... I will never regret that
I've had this several times. The two that I most remember were once with a reboot/new wave of Mars Mission sets, and the other time was with existing G1 Bionicle sets, some in their proper packaging and others in like plastic bags but definitely the real sets.
In mine I visited a Mega Where House where there were Bionicle Sets from 2001-2010, including the canonized sets of characters that never got sets like Karzahni in his original form and Artakha.
The one I remember the most was in some nondescript store, the sets were revamped versions of the Toa Mata/Nuva. The setting was some large city/fortress out in the middle of the protodermis sea. I don’t remember much more than that.
I had this dream atleast once a year while growing up, It was always in a Lego isle in a ToysRUs or Target, the years spanned between the 2004-2011 waves. I'm 23 now and I wasn't even aware other people experienced this until I saw a video of a guy that was visiting a Hispanic country & found a store FULL of older Bionicle sets & someone commented "You had the dream, only in real life"
Couldn’t tell if this is an ironic jab at wanting Bionicle to be revived. I had the sets when I was young, but never unironically had dreams about them.
Dude! Thank you so much, seriously. I’m from Chile and Bionicle was available in Jumbo as well as Líder (Chilean Walmart). I often have these dreams. At least once a week. It’s always me and a friend of mine on the isle wondering which set to pick. The last Bionicle dream I had happened when I was sharing a room with my sister and my cousin since we were on vacation and there was no other room to sleep in. The morning after they asked why I laughed during my sleep and I told them it was because I was dreaming about buying Bionicle. They were utterly speechless. So, thank you very much Zach. This video really broke me in a good way.
I still to this day get these kinds of dreams specifically about bionicle, I've never had them for something else. And then I wake up and the crushing realization that it was all fake slowly sets in again.
I recently had this dream. Every set from Bionicle. G1 and G2. And this Christmas I was surprised with a Yellow Jetrax T6 that I used to own as a little kid. Memories are powerful weapons that can make the strongest heart weak to the knees.
For me, my dreams is where I see all the old sets reissued and sold on the shelves. If I see them all get reissued and on the shelves, I'll instantly buy them all at once, especially the first 2 year Bionicles!
I’m 23 years old. About 9 months ago i had a dream about Bionicles, and awoke with this overwhelming sense of loss and emotion, as if a part of me was missing. Immediately i just knew that i had to buy Bionicles and regain this lost part of my childhood. I’d played with many other toys as a kid, but none were ever like Bionicle. The mystery, the allure, the art style, dark and light themes, no other toy had this. I went crazy rebuying sets that i had as a kid, sets that i never had, and even got a few for my daughter. I’ve also during those 9 months had “the dream”. I was at target shopping with my family, and in some random toy aisle among dolls, I noticed rare Bionicle sets, notably a brand new Hydraxon, which sells for $400 brand new! I started shoveling as many of the sets as I could into the cart, justifying to my wife that these sets are rare and worth a lot, and that it was a steal to get it for 60 bucks at retail lol. Woke up after that and realized it wasn’t real .. just a dream
It was a Toys R us for me. There was this new toa being introduced that was implied to have an impact on the existing lore. The toa was an intricate 3ft entangled fusion with 2 heads. It had a faded gold and gun-steel look to it. Made of a hundreds and hundreds of tiny pieces, I kept getting closer and closer to the display to see the action function was like muscles and tendons in a living creature.
My versions of The Dream is almost always G1 sets of various years. Sometimes in original packaging, sometimes in boxes akin to G2 but it's definitely 2001 tahu or whatever. It's usually a Wal-Mart, sometimes a Toys R Us and a few times a flea market type place. It's always only bionicle on the shelves, I'll be there with family all excited they're back. Before I can even pick a set up off the shelf, I'll wake up.
I still remember my first, and only surreal dream I had about Bionicle from several years ago. It's kinda a long story, so buckle up if you wanna have a read. In my dream, I wasn't in a store or anything like that, instead I was on my old computer browsing the Lego site, and the dream was taking place sometime in late 2008 after I had seen the mini-movie for the Final Battle. Seeing the trailer had me blown away. I was an overjoyed kid jumping up and down in my chair in excitement, and I couldn't wait to see what was next. Okay, now does anyone remember that before a new wave of sets were released, the Bionicle page would temporarily change to show teasers? Well that is what I saw, a teaser for the next part of the story. But it isn't what you expect. The image portrayed didn't have anything to do with the story continuing on Bara Magna or anything related to that. It was something else instead... In order to save the Great Spirit, Matoro sacrificed his life, saving the Bionicle universe. But in a drastic turn of events, Makuta has taken over the Great Spirit, and ejects the Mask of Life. The story is on a cliffhanger. I expected to see where the mask would end up, but this image portrayed something entirely different and incredible. Matoro, seemingly "alive", is standing in what appears to be a desert plain, covered in pure, white sand. His back is facing the reader, and he is looking towards the sky. In the distance, there appears to be a village of some sort. Scattered across the landscape are massive pieces of giant parts, weapons, and limbs. On the top of the image is the title for the next part of Bionicle. It reads: *BIONICLE: Afterlife*
At this point I had this dream so often that I learned to not get too hyped, because when I dream I know it's a dream and I know I can't just take the sets into reality so I just walk through the store and enjoy the image of new Bionicle Sets on shelfs. But I can't help it, the image is beautiful but I wish it was reality. Well, Bionicle's popularity won't go anywhere and Lego knows exactly what theme saved them. Someday they HAVE to bring Bionicle back, there's no way we don't get something new and be it just a single D2C Set!
Kinda scary how this dream can be so common. My version of the dream is I usually come across bootleg sets on the shelves and they were sold for very cheap. Despite being knock-offs, I remember I always try to grab as many of these as possible, just because of the price. The sets were a mix of those released from 2001 to 2006, but never past 2006 for some reason. Some entirely new sets never seen before were up there as well, though they were slightly blurry to remember. They actually gave me inspiration for some of my recent mocs tbh. I also remember some of the knock-offs were smaller than average size, so the pieces wouldn't be compatible with average Bionicle pieces
To be honest, when you mentioned you would be doing this video I thought you were referring to the dream that everyone (Or at least, I did) had where they were a toa or a matoran. For me I was some type of toa going through a dungeon of sorts. Memories are fuzzy because I was like 8 or 9 when it happened, heh.
I've been having Bionicle dreams for the past 1-2 years and it would always be at a retail place(my latest one was at a DVD store). It got to the point where I did a dream analysis for my Psych class. When I saw your video I was freaking out since I wasn't the only one who's been having this kind of dream. Great video man
I had this once. I was so sad when I woke up. I always wake up right when I leave the Store with the sets in my hands, then I suddenly wake up. Worst than any nightmare I have ever had. I am actually glad I am not alone, this is nice to know others have the same dream I had.
I can't believe this isn't just me... I used to have really vivid dreams about a weird store (usually similar to Target) that would be selling new copies of the old sets (usually anything before Metru Nui, since that's what I have the least of). Thanks for making a video of it!
Damn I thought I was the only one. This is legit a recurring dream for me. For me, the location is always some kind of independent collectible store that sells all kinds of classic lego sets at their original price. Sometimes it’s a massive shed on the side of a highway, and sometimes it’s a basement with really cool mood lighting and the original Bionicle music playing. I always see Bionicle there, but also sometimes Mars Mission and Exo Force. Those were my formative lego themes; I’ve always wanted to go back to them when they were in their hayday.
I actually lived the Bionicle Dream; I hadn't even heard of Bionicle G2, was doing some Christmas shopping, looking for presents for my niece and nephew, when I stumbled upon them. I thought they looked familiar, did a double take when I saw the Bionicle logo, and then my jaw hit the floor when I read their familiar names! I didn't have the extra cash to get them then, and couldn't find them in my local Walmart when I went back to school, but it was refreshing to know the series had new life in it!
I had this dream once right after the first Glatorian sets released. I went into a Target and built every single one and set them back on the shelves in front of their boxes
I lived through all of Bionicle, and I've never had this dream. Maybe that's because I've seen just about every wave on shelves IRL, but it's fascinating and kind of gratifying to me that this is a common thing.
I had a few dreams in which I saw new Bionicle movies, based on Ignika, Phantoka and Mistika waves story and all the characters had original trilogy character designs with muscles and face articulation.
Yo I’m not gonna lie, I have exact same dream you have about bionicle remake/remold/revamp back on toy shelves. If we’re all keep having same dream over and over, something tells us that bionicle is coming back on shelves in later future. Zack I feel yah right there with you, you’re not alone. When lego picks bionicle back up again and re do or re telling same stories but redesign or re imagine bionicle with same lego set, I’ll buy them all every single line in a heart beat and my entire checks...........
This aren't dreams. They're glimpses into better timelines
Maybe a sign from Mata nui himself, For us to bring the legend back to life, with our own sets we see in those shelves
Damn i need to get a Kanohi Olmak
Ya... :(
Anyone tried turning around at the start of the isle and heading to the back where the door says "employees only" and going through the door? Probably takes some serious guts to get past the fear and dark aura from the atmosphere, and serious lucid dreaming skills... But has anyone went to the employees only section yet in these dreams?
P A I N
The dream changes all the time for me. Sometimes it's in something as big as a toys r us, and then it goes to something as small as a walgreens. They might not even be assembled sometimes- but the common denominator is that I'm walking through a store, see a bionicle set, and freak out. It's gotten to the point where I even ask myself mid-dream "Wait, is this real? This only happens when I'm asleep."
Hello
I wonder, you may be able to lucid dream from one of those bionicle dreams XD
@@max84678 Up most certainly you can, but lucid dreams are tricky, it's a whole other topic, interesting one at that

Concerning the Walgreens bit, a Walgreens I went to a long time ago had a bin full of Glatorian Legends Mata Nui canisters. Anyway, this Dream of Bionicle has only happened to me once.

Picking up a set and attempting to take it to the checkout lane, only to find the store has transformed into a maze.
Then parents tell you no or disagrees with what you are getting, and you think you almost got your way, your dream either changes to something else or end up waking up from it, so yeah
I had one that the closer I was to reaching the checkout lane, the harder it was to move forward.
In the dream I was buying Toa Mata Kopaka
Oh that's brutal..
You end up in a maze, my dream cuts at the moment
These dreams have to be studied. I'm convinced there's some kind of paranormal phenomenon that's causing pretty much every single person who came into contact with Bionicle to have dreams like this. Why is it always about walking into a store and finding old sets still on sale? These dreams are always very specific in that regard and I'm convinced it's not merely coincidence anymore.
My dream wasn’t about bionicles, it was about hero factory
Replace paranormal with psychological and you're on to something
Not the first time I've observed bizarre similarities in Bionicle fans.. >.>
It's simple. You like the kits, you want the kits, but you can't get the kits unless you come across them by chance. Your brain knows the normal process to get the kit is to go to a specific shop, so it constructs a dream built around fulfilling your wish. Same thing happens to all fans of out of production products.
@@TripleBarrel06 strange tho it seems Bionicle fans are like hyper-sensitive to them amazingly even for years.
Usually it'll be an old pile I found that someone had thrown away or something, and it's full of ancient pre-2001 sets and prototypes that I've never seen before. Oddly specific, but I've never actually dreamed about seeing new sets on store shelves.
I never knew so many had the same dream. I thought I was the only one!

it's terrifying to know that this is seemingly a common occurence amongst people, yet it's weirdly comforting to know i'm not alone in it, my dreams usually involve me going around toy fairs and expos and seeing the sets on sale but with different, unique packaging
Same, I only found out other people were having this dream today. Although, I probably should've guessed I wasn't the only one.
Same. Makes me wish it would come true.
Same I have the absolutely same dream. The characters look so damn lit, but too bad that once I buy them I wake up
I remember in my dream I was looking at ice toa character's canister. Character had white mask that was kind of like those "cold assault stormtrooper" face gear or noble rau.
Same
I love how you said "I forgot they brought Bionicles back" like your brain subconsciously came up with the idea that you were gonna walk into this store and find Bionicles, and all you remember is a vague recollection of them announcing a Bionicles reboot.
In my version of **THE DREAM**, when I try to grab a canister it turns into a bootleg and so does every set on the aisle.
A dream turned nightmare.
SAME. my brain won’t allow it to be real, so as soon as I inspect the bonks, they become some bootleg version so that I’ll remain immersed enough not to wake up.
For me, whenever I had this dream, I remember when I touched a canister, all of a sudden I was dropped into one of the bionicle islands/settings. One I remember was where I was falling forever in Karda Nui while seeing the toa fighting the makuta
Yuo
Same :)
It all turns into Invincibility Robot
@@gundamcollector77 you had a one eye look into the Heavens.
For me it's just a thrift store that found boxes full of unopened Bionicle and putting it on shelves. They were G1 sets, especially 2001-2003 sets.
Most of my Bionicle dreams are just agonising over which figure to get.
I have this dream alarmingly often.
Going off just the description, it’s true I’ve had multiple dreams over the years of seeing sets on shelves
If Bionicle actually wins the Lego anniversary contest thingy then this dream can become a reality
There may be another way. There's this store I've heard of called Bricks and Minifigs where they allow customers to trade in or sell sets, and then resell used sets. They will even have employees use stickers to verify the sets if they have all their intended pieces.
You could get lucky enough to encounter some Bionicle sets.

Maybe we aren't really dreaming but we're having a vision of another universe, where bionicle never was cancelled and keeps producing new sets
That’s really cool. Insanely detailed.
I remember a random little shop, rows and rows of different canisters, seeing new barraki... Specifically a shark and sea snake one 🤔
My “dream” is usually about seeing gen 1 Bionicle and 2010 pirates sets
This is so COOL. I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who's had this dream!
I have this dream every couple weeks. Usually it's all the old sets I never got, dusty and hidden in the very back of some small, local store. But the frustrating part is that I immediately think "Wow, I always dream about this, and now I'm seeing it in real life!" Every. Single. Time.
The real most frustrating part is if you buy them in dream only to wake up empty handed. I just had that happen with last night's Bionicle Dream lol
I've had The Dream, exactly as described in this video, but never knew it was a shared experience.
There was even a Toa Voriki set as well. Props to you if you actually remember that hoax. Lol
I may be wrong, but that sounds like GALIDOR to me.
@@a-s-greig Nah, they were still robotic, and made entirely almost entirely of technic, like more complex and elaborate versions of the turaga.
If anyone's hispanic, you'll know countries like Mexico usually had older waves still on their toy store shelves or Walmarts. They were (sometimes) two years behind... so:
I'll dream about going to Mexico, and somehow a family member takes me to a store that's has older sets. I'll admire and gawk over them, put as many as I can on my cart, and in my dream logic, think it's real because "Mexico always had older waves still."
Silly little variant from all you i guess.
That's actually true, but the sets became rare after 2007's waves, so it was really hard to find new bionicle after that year :(
Yeah! That has happened to me too! Sometimes I'm like at a sort of old store and they have tons of old sets on sale.
I've always dreamed of living in the days when Bionicle was born in 2001 and what it was like seeing them at my local Target, Toys R Us, or Walmart.
This dream is the Great Spirit calling to us gathered friends.
Unity Duty Destiny.
Wow that’s tragic.
Takua?! TAKUA?! Where are you?
Me in dream world (Open eyes to see jaller searching for takua as a moc observer)
in my most recent dream like this, my local walmart had found an old shipment of the 2007-8 sets that they never sold, and once i grabbed all of them i woke up
Mine are always a used toy or antique store, and it's usually either canister sets or boxed sets of any kind. I do remember one dream where I found a bunch of loose sets from 2005 on a shelf in a store.
When I heard “it’s the bionicle dream” I was just like. “Oh my god, oh my god I remember this, all”
The dreams I have mainly involve the bohrok.
Same here, but in germany
I’m not even A Bionicle fan , But I’ve had this dream most of the time
Your profile picture?
Sometimes I'm drawn to Toa Gali and sometimes even Rahkshi but that's about it
Thank you for remembering this moments...
So incredibly relatable. Bionicle is back on shelves in my reoccurring dreams and I've had these dreams hundreds of times. It's usually the sets I missed out on like the Toa Mata, Bohrok ECT (because I was young had no job). I fall for it every time and I wouldn't have it any other way
Chills... I've had Bionicle dreams my whole life seeing as I never could get all the sets I wanted
This happens all the time but the set is terribly overpriced, like 130$, but I end up negotiating the price with the manager and getting it for 20$
Ah, the negotiator.
Just had the dream last night. First one in a while, but I've had many over the years. Breaks my heart every time I wake up.
You ever just lay awake at night mourning the loss of a fucking lego IP?
Hopefully that Ideas vote has Bionicle winning and we can have at least one new, legit set on shelves in the near future.
I still to this day get these kinds of dreams specifically about bionicle, I've never had them for something else.
And then I wake up and the crushing realization that it was all fake slowly sets in again.
I call it The Dream™
I remember having one about the infamous Brutaka underwater mutation.
It reads:
*BIONICLE: Afterlife*
At this point I had this dream so often that I learned to not get too hyped, because when I dream I know it's a dream and I know I can't just take the sets into reality so I just walk through the store and enjoy the image of new Bionicle Sets on shelfs. But I can't help it, the image is beautiful but I wish it was reality. Well, Bionicle's popularity won't go anywhere and Lego knows exactly what theme saved them.
Someday they HAVE to bring Bionicle back, there's no way we don't get something new and be it just a single D2C Set!
Just goes to show how big this was for many folks’ childhood. I’ve had the same dream, but then I wake up really bummed.
I always dream about going to Walmart and seeing the old sets in a discount section
I had “The Dream” ™️ Where I’d see a new set on the shelves and then the excitement from seeing it would wake me up :(
I've had one dream a few times where I stumble upon a store that sells all the past bionicle sets. This is real.
Great video man
Usually a Walmart or Toysrus, mostly find mask packs or some sets when this comes up in my dreams.
I remember dreaming about a whole isle of lego clone walker battle packs.
Holy shit I've had the same fucking dream several times since 2015!, This is the spirit of Mata Nui becoming one with us.
