@@mbunji No, it souldn't have. The first Tomb Raider sucks. The series has always been about exploration and puzzles, not a lame Uncharted clone where gameplay is shooting at dumb goons.
For anyone with the bug where the pillars wont rotate, Turn DirectX12 off in settings then change graphics to low, set display to windows mode and do this before you hit play. They should rotate. Get through the puzzle then change setting back to normal. Hope this helps :)

If you are playing on PC, it is very important in this moment of the game that you limit the frame rate down to 60 or lower or else these pillars don’t move.
It's just to easy not too nowadays! 😅 I'm not sure if you guys are similar, but I'm 27 been gaming since I was kid and in during the days playing the PS2/Xbox/PC/Nintendo (whatever haha). I remember asking a kid I meet at a summer camp how to start the Shivering Isles Expansion/DLC for ES4: Oblivion (This must of been 2008-2009, right?) and finally being able to figure out the way to begin the quest.. Now, yes. I was a dumbass kid who could of easily found out how to progress the questline with some basic use of the in game journal/questlog. I may be late to the discussion, but WHY THE F*CK would the insignia on the left pillar for the final code be EXPLICITLY stated on the photo if it DOESN'T work if facing it the SAME WAY as the other codes? All just to have us look this up online because the devs make it SUPER unclear on how to solve the last part of this puzzle. Thank you for the tutorial.
