I'm rebuilding a neglected 740iL in my garage and I don't trust jackstands, so I built cribbing that goes under the tires and for under the car that gives me wheels up with no worries. Works for 747s in the boneyard so why not a 22 year old e38? Used wooden 2x4s and 4x4s from the Home Depot. Much safer when you are by yourself and solid as a rock.
As much as I love BMWs, there's so much preventative maintenance for reliability lolol. Glad to see your build coming along (: But then again, I keep on forgetting how old these cars are 😅
This guy saved my life when I swapped out my getrag, now he’s saving my life with my rear subframe 👏🏻
6:00 you didnt forget to undo the center bearing to let the shaft flex, did you

Word of advice... Don’t work on your car by yourself. Something bad could happen, you could need urgent help. Get some homies.
Yeah I really need to find some car bros to help me out from time to time. It’s not fun working on some of this stuff alone 😅
