  • Aash or the rice porridge is a very popular iftaar recipe which is a must dish in each and every house during ramazan.
    There are a lot of methods to prepare aash and this is one of them.
    Prep time :- 10 mins
    Cooking time :-30 mins
    Serves :-6-7
    Cup measurements:- 1 cup=250 ml; ½ cup =125 ml; ¾ cup=190 ml; ¼ cup=60 ml; 1/3 cup=80ml
    INGREDIENTS:-
    1. Rice - ½ cup (roasted and coarsely grounded )
    2. Moong dal / yellow lentils - ¼ cup (roasted and coarsely grounded)
    3. Oil - 2-3 tbsp
    4. Onion (chopped)- 1 medium sized
    5. Tomato (chopped) - 1 medium sized
    6. Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 ½ tbsp
    7. Mint leaves(chopped)-1 ½ tbsp
    8. Green chillies - 2
    9. Ginger paste - 1 ½ tsp
    10. Garlic paste - 1 ½ tsp
    11. Curd - ¼ cup
    12. Mutton mince/kheema - ½ cup
    13. Salt - 3 tsp or acc to taste
    14. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
    15. Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
    16. Garam masala powder - ¼ tsp
    17. Coconut (thinly sliced) - ¼ cup
    18. Mint leaves - 10-15
    19. Green chillies - 2
    TIPS :-
    1. Keep stirring it , when adding the rice and daal to avoid lumps
