Thank you for bringing Roy Nichols live performance version of the solo, at the time I saw it on YT I couldn't find accurate tabs for years and now you put it here. You're great!
@@warfarinoverdose7221 you’re very welcome! That solo is so good I just had to learn it note for note haha! Thanks for watching and commenting, I truly appreciate it!
One of my greatest idols ❤ short story.. I had tickets to go see him for the first time ever, and during his tour, I guess his drummer passed out in Philadelphia during a show and they canceled his tour. Merle later died and I never got to see him 😢 But I still keep his music going in my band, singing alot of his songs . My favorite is "Sing Me Back Home" ❤ Thank you so much for your videos ❤❤❤
@@teleplayer7081 Oh man! I wish I could have seen him live too. Thanks for sharing that story! Sing me back home is a beautiful sad song like only Merle could write. I love playing that one too! Thanks again for watching!
@@Symphonicrockfran oh yeah! That is a beautiful solo, more Jazzy! I wonder who played that on the record, it doesn’t sound like Roy Nichols. It’s hard to find the credits sometimes. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
i love hearing great pickers like you cranking out solos. thanks. i like playing over the solo to I’m a lonely fugitve. the original’ solo’s pretty barebones, so it’s fun trying to thicken it up a little.
@@chriszacherl7637 I truly appreciate the support, my friend! Yeah, a lot of those solos are very simple and really great to use as a base to add your own flavor on top, not that they’re not amazing the way they are, but I couldn’t agree with what you said!
@@69jomen Thanks, my friend! I was trying to get close To the tone on the original recordings and I think Stay Here and Drink was definitely on a strat. But I’m a tele lover too haha

Thanks Matheus - If that geetar you used for 'I think i'll just stay here & drink' isn't called the 'Swamp Strat' it should be! Looks like most of the swamp is still attached!! 😂😎
