I plan on doing this exact setup, rv6 and q300 exhaust. Probably gonna go kraftwerks supercharger after. I was gonna do merc racing superchargers kit but it cost so much more. Its like 5.2k for the 1320 and another 1500 for their aftercooler. Not as easy to install as kraftwerks also but makes way more torque and is faster.
As the rv6 broke it it got a tiny bit louder but in a good way. The high flow cat and q300 is a good combo. I think thought you might want to go no cat for forced induction but it’s def not as important with an SC vs turbo. Just a little on the raspy side with no cat 🤣. I hear good things about kraftwerks other than the belts
The tonal difference is pretty minimal which is great, but best of all, it has gotten quieter. Catless sounded nice and loud in cabin, but that added noise is not for everybody... neither is the rasp on the outside.
I don't hear it in the video but do you get cabin drone? If you do a Branch resonator before the cat will help with that. I have a 2g tsx with a plm downpipe to a 2.75 tsudo exhaust. It eliminated inside drone when catless, with the cat it's even better. I skipped to hear the comparo, I'll rewatch it through, I look for k24z content since our platforms have the same motor. Do you have the stock intake manifold? depending on the intake manifold,exhaust not changes too (weird motors). My tsx has a deep almost v6 tone with the dual exhaust setup. (Again weird motors) your car sounds great 👍
Yes. Cabin drone used to be bad. I ran a db app to figure out where I was getting drone but after getting the cat it went away. A branch resonator would be a good addition, to cancel out certain Hz. Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll bust out the db meter again
Unfortunately, yes I did. It comes and goes though, most of the time there is no light but if I'm on track pushing it, it comes back. I'm going to fix it via tune though.
About to throw on the same downpipe with my Q300. I am also running the Skunk2 CAI. Did you street tune, and if so what kind of numbers did the car make?
I actually haven't tuned the car yet. I know I know, I really should lol. My plan is to do a full tune once I get the rest of the bolt ons: intake, RBC, injectors, etc. I have the parts just need to install 😢
What do you think of the sound? Better or worse?

just curious man if you've lowered your car? asking bc i've got the q300 and i want to lower it but it hangs a bit
