Thank you- I’m not all that young though lol
When i see your videos of the 5eat when you first started. Black head of hair!!
lol, I should show a picture of my hair when I really first started- 1987
@@iptperformancetrans btw i got my hands on 1 of your 5eats and a high stall. Little dream come true of mine!
@@mikev350z Cool deal, thanks for the kind words⚙️
Hey I got a question that hopefully you can help me out with. I have a g35x and rebuilding the engine. From the calculations the engine should push north of 700hp but I know the transmission won’t hold, do you know a way I can rebuild the transmission that’s can handle much power? If so can you make a build sheet? I’ve looking at this topic for weeks and I can’t find the answer.
I have qx80 2017 and i need diagram of the valve body screws i
Is there a way to make the shifts firmer and quicker, or is that all subject to computer programming ?
Absolutely, mechanical modifications can be made to improve shift efficiency and quality without any change to the electronics in the vehicle.
Hello. When is the rebuild video for the RE5R01A going to be posted? Thanks
I’m not sure, I’d like to do one but I also have production to do most of the time so getting the time to do videos can sometimes be tricky
@@iptperformancetrans I am currently putting back together one from a 2003 infiniti G35. Transmission was damaged from leaky radiator. I will be bi-passing the radiator and going with a separate trans cooler. I am a DIY guy, and I did not properly 'document' the removal of some parts... However, your disassembly video was somewhat of a help. Thanks
@@brian511 If you had antifreeze in it, make sure that you change every clutch and, if it were me, I’d change the TCM/valve body as well
They can work for a while but then they usual fail (computers don’t like to get wet lol)
@@iptperformancetrans My 2003 infiniti G35 is a very 'early' model. The TCM is external on mine. I have learned that early 2003 have a slightly different valve body
@@brian511 Ok right- I remember those when they were new lol
Hello. How important is a TCM "flash" or "reset" or "reprogram" after a rebuild?
Typically not that important
@@iptperformancetrans Hello. I have 400kms (250 miles) on my Re5R05a automatic transmission re-build. When the transmission is at full operating temperature, there is "RPM flare-up" or "delay" in shifting from 3rd to 4th gear. When "cold" there is no "flare-up". The transmission seems to shift properly until it warms-up. Curious if there are any transmission experts here? Thanks
