I did a lot of reading about how to add shine to natural 4c hair or low porosity hair - and the answer is - you don't; it is the nature of our hair once all of the products dry. It will tend to look dry (low porosity hair), HOWEVER you can combat the dry feeling using products that contain humectants. One of the less expensive products you can use is good old carefree curl juice (yes the red and gold!!!LOL) makes hair feel softer and decreases the shrinkage and you need only use a little...made a significant

Honestly, she already has a nice texture notice when she first placed the product in her hair instantly curled. All the swirl tool do is loop your hairs together to look more unified in the curl department.

Thanks for sharing this. I am a senior and I've let the perm grow out of my hair. so now my hair is in transition. I'm trying to get a look that's not straight up 60's and age-appropriate yet with current times not to look like a teenage grandma. So here's the thing; I'd like to know do you air dry or use a hand blower after you wash your hair? I appreciate the time you took to do the tutor post.
Good video.Seems quicker than twirling your hair. It was funny when you said to swirl clockwise and you went counterclockwise! I recently big chopped into a tapered cut and this will work perfectly for my hair in the back. ( I have different kinds of curls in the back, sides, and top). Thanks for posting this!

Before I go into how good this video is, I have to say I hate Eco styler gel. No shade. Can you recommend other gels you like for 4c hair?Just never had a good experience with and I been sporting my natural hair for 7 years every damn day! Stopped doing protective styles in 2009☺️ because I am too

OMG I could hug you right now. I have been frustrated trying to find my rhythm with my natural hair. Every morning I am using the sponge not knowing why it's not working... I didn't realize that I needed to pick the hair out! THANK YOU! Your make up is gorgeous, do you have tutorials on that also?

Thank you! The sponge has been a life saver. I have started to put coconut oil in my hair after the gel so it wont be too crunchy and not as dry. For baby hair i use the eco styling gel.

Thanks for sharing beautiful. I just got rid of braids after so long. When I blow dry my hair it becomes long enough to go in a little bun with a band. But when I wash it it becomes kinkier than kink itself and is dry and brittle. What do you recommend to soften my hair and make it manageable so it's not so rough. I loose a lot of little knots when it's that way. I don't know what to use that is as close to natural as possible. Any suggestions? :)

I actually dont remember the lashes. but i just spray water and wrap in silk scarf.

Mariah Waterman I have them all and the Cantu would def dry your hair out a little if you already have dry hair. Try spraying with water and using a light oil (grapeseed) and butter (raw shea butter) to seal in the moisture
