I enjoyed this technique when my hair was less than an inch long, but as soon as it grew out I noticed that this method caused a LOT of knots. OMG, the sponge swirling on 4C s-curl pattern hair was both beautiful and frustrating.

It was air dried in half hour. Remember my hair is super short so it does not take long.

Are you going in 1 direction.. plus you can't do it to much because you will have lots of space. Trial and error.

No it will not. Now my hair has grown out a bit and now it tangles instead of giving me curls

what color dye or henna did you use? pretty color!
The dye made my hair super dry. To combat that I Moisturized my hair every night.

I've used the spong and it dried my hair out and broke it off.
I think it depends on the length now my hair has grown out. it's ripping my hair. This sponge is for super short hair, in my opinion.
