Could you make a tutorial on making stereograms? I guess explaining how it works as well and maybe how the image can be created, possibly having animated ones too

@@Eyetricks3DStereograms Wow that went in quite a bit of detail, as far as the mapping goes, when the depth map is being created, what exactly does it mean when it says "white comes forward and black goes backwards" in respect to the creation, like does the black color shift slightly up to cause the depth illusion when all the LLL and RRR sides are put together? Or does the black and white depth shift to the right and left? Also what is the process for merging the texture and the depth object?

@@G_N_8 The depth map is always a grayscale image. The shading on the depth maps represents the depth it will appear when viewed. White parts of the depth map will appear to be closer than darker parts on the depth map. If you want to put something way in the background, you'd make it darker.
Layering the pattern on top of the depth map is done using special software. We create the pattern tile and then the software layers it over the depth map to create the 3D effect.
