You compared him with Sinatra and the boss didn't have Luis Miguel style neither. I know he can sing that's a fact but again he is more like a modern singer compared to Sinatra or Jose Jose, their sound is totally more old school and more elegant. If you are referring to his ethnic background then a large part of the Mexican population would not be considered Mexican because their ancestors migrated from many different countries. In that case, only pure indigenous people would qualify as Mexican. If we apply that logic only native Americans could be considered true “Americans” in the United States.
Jobi El Fenomenal he is, despite being born in Puerto Rico, he is Mexican after he was given the nationality by the then president of Mexico Carlos Salinas de Gortari, in the early 90s. Have a good day 🙂

Luis Miguel, singing since age 9 or 10, had a very hard childhood, working non stop. He is a great singer, such charisma! Never even tried to sell his music singing in Englisch...what for, he sells so much and is a unque artist! Great guy, you need to be, to stay on top for so long, always kind to people in public.

I have seen Luis Miguel about 15 times in concert, he is just an AMAZING singer. He was in NY, NJ, and MA in a span of a week, and I went to all 3 concerts. His voice, his songs, his delivery, just incredible!! Hopefully he can stay healthy and keep going on tours.

As a Spanish speaker, I've known of Luis Miguel early on in his career, but what sold me to his talent was his rendition of "Someday" from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame which he called "Suena" (dream). I cry every time i hear it.

He never lived nor was raised in PR and he got the Mexican citizenship because Mexico is the place where he most identifies with and where he was raised.
