There is a way to do this that is 10x better.
Use the desktop version of the menu builder instead
Set the width of the containers to 100%
The text in the button for the menu dropdown has text and a animated chevron arrow on the right. They are set to "space-between", so all you have to do is set the width of all the containers with css, and the text aligns automatically to the left, and the chevron arrow aligns to the right.
