Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 чер 2024
- I had to jump on the 2023 viral Smashburger Taco trend. Smashburgers are my absolute favorite way make hamburgers. In true Meat Church fashion we had to kick this trend up a notch by starting with grinding up a a brisket in this video for the 80\20 meat needed. You can do that or just start with 80\20 ground meat which is the perfect meat to fat ratio to keep these together. and used These are insanely delicious brisket smashburger tacos!

you know when he says " meat church it up " shits fixen to get real !!!!!!!!!!!!
I make these, but I use ground lamb seasoned like a gyro, and top with lettuce, sliced Cherry tomatoes , feta cheese and tzatziki, they’re incredible
Bingo!
Love lamb , awesome take on the recipe, or dish as it's called.
Sounds spectacular!
Sounds good! What kind of seasoning would you use? Thanks. 😊
That sounds absolutely delicious but that’s not “these” tbh
I would love to see a video on how you make your homemade tortillas, in the future if possible. Love your videos. Keep up the good work guys!
I'm glad I'm here. I literally just got through calibrating my eyeballs. What you got there is a lot closer to 81.5% and 19.5%
I mean I didn't go to school to be a mathmagician but I think that's right
Do the math 101%
Close enough as we say here in 'Merica
Saw this video this morning, tried it tonight. They were pretty great. Would love some more weeknight easy meal recipes. Thanks Matt - A fellow Matt from DFW
That's awesome matt. That's dinner tonight thank you for what you do.
I have to tell you, I had a really rough week! I happened to cross your channel while I was looking for something to watch.
First, your recipe took me in.
Then your explanation of every step kept me tuned in. Finally your enthusiasm is contagious!
I can't wait to try some of your recipes, and the double fry method.
I subscribed and I've shared with everyone I can think of so far. Thank you!
☺️🍀☺️
Thank you so much Elizabeth!!! And thank you for being here. I drop new recipes every Wed @ 10CST.
Those look really good! I like the thickness of the patty and full coverage on the tortilla. I bet the sauce has really great flavor with the jalapenos!
Those fresh tortillas looked perfect. Hope you will share the tortilla recipe soon. My husband and I love your videos and try them all the time. ❤❤
Nice! Will be trying. BTW, got some pork belly burnt ends with Gospel Rub on the smoker now. My wife and daughter love that rub and have started to put it on everything. Keep up the great work!
That looks great Matt, a must try !!!
These tacos look so mouthwatering!
Looks delicious! I have to try this
Love this!
Now that is darn good looking….have to put this on my cooking list. Nicely done mate!
Definitely gotta try this
Those look awesome! I never thought of using a tortilla to make a smashburger. I'm going to have to try that!
Looks delicious!
OUTSTANDING MATT!
Great recipe. Like the watch by the way
Thanks for another great video Matt! Been following you since we got our first pellet grill a year ago. Would love to hear what you (and others) do for smaller cooks. As a family of two it just does not make sense to buy and cook a whole brisket, pork butt, etc.
Beautiful enough said
Those would go to a whole different level with the addition of a little chorizo to that grind.
Great video Matt, I have all your rubs and I'm going to try this!
Looks delicious right there
That looks damn good! Nice!!
Nice, this is going on my to do list!
Did a breakfast version with choriizo this morning., Great way to start the day.
Awesome how you make it big league quality thinking of making a double decker
Love the look of those cloches... where did you get them from??
Hell yeah. Another good one...gold top cheers
@MeatChurchBBQ I'd love to see your take on Brunswick stew now that fall has arrived.
Love these! I actually don’t buy ground beef at all anymore. My local Costco alternates between Prime brisket for $3.99/lb. and Choice brisket for $2.99/lb. if they have prime, I separate the point and flat, and grind the point (young boys don’t like the fattier meat.) then I smoke the flat and prepare like normal. For the Choice brisket, I just trim and grind the whole thing. Can’t beat $2.99/lb. ground brisket meat! ❤
Our kids love these. Gotta try grinding my own meat though. It will definitely up the game. Thanks.
Walton's has an interesting grinder attachment called the One Shot. It allows you to do a rough and final grind in one pass. Pretty slick. I'm definitely going to be trying these tacos. Been on my radar for a while but your recipes have never let me down.
Meat also has a model that does the double grind in a single pass, just not what Matt used today.
@@andrewr2650 Very cool. I wasn't aware of that. Thanks.
Made these last night but with ground prime rib from WildFork and your blanco seasoning. Straight 🔥
This looks PHENOMINAL! I love this take on both smash burgs and tacos colliding in a brand new universe of awesomeness. The smashburger craze continues, on a Traeger group I'm in on facebook someone made smashburger jerky... any takes on that?
Wow!
I now know what I’m cooking this weekend! Another good one @meatchurch!
Your 1 inch meatball looks bigger than mine. Must be a Texas thing. 🤠👍
The flies were loving the tacos too at the end there.
Those Ranch Rider’s are fantastic! Kinda hard to find in Kansas
Where did you get that burger press? And do you have a video on your tortillas?
As they said, I ain't mad bout that. I've made em before, kiddos loved.
Fresh brisket trimmings is definitely the way to go for a burger.
Definitely need to make these... great excuse to buy some more W sauce and Meat Church Texas Sugar
How hard is it to clean that grinder? Because it looks pretty awesome to do fresh grinds.
Looks amazing… question. Are those meat grinders a pain in the you know what to clean, or are they not too bad?
Meat 🥩 Church for President 🇺🇸
Great video Matt! Guess I need a griddle to make me some smash burgers. Wonder what I need to do around the house to get that. Lol!
Thanks for sharing!!!
You should do a video explaining, and how to problem solve, the "brisket stall".
Very nice there kid!
Hey, what smasher and spatula are you using? Not in Texas so no way to buy from your shop, unless you ship.
Hey Matt any chance you can squeeze 1 more person in your bbq class tomorrow in Fort Worth i missed the registration. Thanks
My heart sank when the video started & I heard that bird again. Then the music started & I didn’t hear the bird again. My hope is that the music covered it being sorted out & it’s now in the freezer for a future video. 😂
Minus that lettuce, that looks incredible! I love using recipes and putting my own twist on it. Sauce looks good too.
Good stuff!! I'mma make these on Friday, for the World Series. Go Rangers...
Can't wait to smash these!
What's the difference between the 500 W grinder and the .5 hp one
Mannnnnnn I love these things. Especially camping
That looks good, but…
When do we get see how you made the tortillas?
I’m gonna try making these
That's probably better than a hamburger.❤
Lol what you got an eagle on your yard 😂😂
Awesome. I do not know why I do not grind my own meat. 80/20 ground beef was $6.00 lb. I saw brisket at $3.00 lb. I did not even check the wholesale place I shop.
Matt getting all famous on us now 😎
Raise your hand if you wish Matt was your neighbor. Just casually saunter over, and "Whatcha cookin' today?"
I made those and they are very good.
Matt, when will your kids' shirts be back in stock? We are a meat church family. My 4 year old twins love watching you, my son even does UA-cam shows with his kitchen because he thinks he's you. I wanted to get both my son and daughter a shirt for Xmas. I already ordered their hats.
I think you should've incorporated the onion when you cooked. Like the Oklahoma smash burger. Which is not true Oklahoma smash burger. They take the credit. But it was actually started in Kansas. In 1922. A place called Cozy Inn. They just celebrated their 100 year anniversary last year. They been making a smash burger slider for 100 years. Long before Oklahoma laid claim. They were also in several food magazines as in the top 50 hamburger joints in America. They have many plaques hanging on their wall. Another company that ties to lay claim is White Castle. They don't even come close to Cozy burgers. Lol
But you did. And you told us about.😂😂😂 It's fine
That looks like it would pair well with a beer… or two.
We love Smashburger tacos. So easy and so good.
My doctor is really starting to hate you guys. But now I know what to make for game time on Saturday. 👍
I'm thinkin a smashburger tostada would be a good offshoot of this.
What's the knife you're using?
@rickyrice7376 A sharp one.
that is one fine piece of machinery
Can you do a video on pork steaks please?
those are 1 inch balls? really now ;)
Hey Matt can you teach us how to smoke oxtail on a pellet grill. Please. let's 💨💨💨 #meat church
Yeah. Can't go wrong with this. Only way to improve would be to use wagyu beef tallow in the tortillas and figure out a way to work in a bacon weave. Oh, and homemade pickles.
Looks Great.

#PHILLYPHILLY 🇺🇸
That bird isn't having it tho!
Hmmmm
What do you do with the half brisket?
you can trim up and smoke just as a half, or keep cutting and grind it into other recipes, but i was surprised the way he cut that too. I figured he was going to trim the brisket to smoke and then grind the trimmings like he has talked about in some of his other brisket videos.
Ha you're just showing out now
Make sure your meat is cold when grinding, like 34 or 35 degrees. I'm just starting to get into craft sausage etc... watch two guys and a cooler on youtube. Wealth of knowledge. These look fantastic by the way!
You don’t need to tell a pro what to do looser.
OK, I can't even pretend that doesn't look amazing.
Smash burger taco trend. It's wild what foods randomly become a trend.
after trying this in many different toppings, i can honestly say buns are not as good as a taco style with the flout tortilla
Looks good but 1 inch balls lol
Hey Matt…. Never worry about not being the first to introduce a recipe, just do what you do …. Improve on them!!….
That’s way bigger than 1 inch
Those one inch balls are more like 3 inch balls lol
Do we know why he’s not, not mad at stuff anymore?
What? no more "I ain't mad at it"?
I did that shit hole Smashburger’s last night at $22. Worst fucking meal ever had I wanted to return it but I was already down the road to go got to the hotel so I wasn’t going to turn around and I ate the shit now I’m regretting it.
Is this vegan friendly 😂😂😂
Pickled jalapenos suck
You lost me at the sauce.YUCK!!!!
