Just what i was looking for, perfect for my spider and pothos. Had everything laying around anyway. You rock!
So glad you found this helpful! Feel free to recommend other DIYs you would like to see. 😊
This is the most simple method I have seen! I got a hinged lidded tank and was trying to find better ways to secure my pothos cuttings in my tank
You are so close to 1,000 subs I subbed. Good idea 💡
So simple it's genius! Thank you for sharing!
I absolutely love this idea!!
Thank you ! Great Job ! You have a beautiful aquarium your bettas are lucky to have you .✨🙏🏽
Great video! I love plants, aquariums and DIY, so this was just the thing for me. Just one clarification: The plant at @3:12 is not a "pothos" (Epipremnum aureum), but a Philodendron brazil (Philodendron hederaceum).
Good to know! Thank you! I’m still pretty new to the whole plant keeping thing 😅
@@Betta_Days The bright green one at the first of the video is also a Philodendron the lemon Philodendron, you can tell by the leaves, they are rounder neon pothos of almost the same color
This is really great idea! Time for an Amazon order!
Pretty, Pretty Nifty!
Looks amazing! My aquarium is covered by I have 3 round holes in the middle so I will try so
Thanks! I've used airline tubing to corral floating plants before, but didn't think of using it to support plants like this pothos before! What a great idea! Love the black tubing too. I've never had that before, but will order some soon. Again, thank you for this DIY!
You’re so welcome! I’m really glad it could help you out! 😃❤️
Best DIY and most of all 😊 you are one beautifull soul right there ❤❤
Hi, I love your setups! And the plant stand you have behind you in the first clip looks amazing😍😍😍
Thank you so much! I love my little plant shelf. 🥰
Simple and purposeful 👏👍
Great simple idea going to try
I’d love to hear about it once you try!
Awesome bang that’s great thanks could you go over some trouble shoot on your floating plants what works and doesn’t so far in your journey? They are all beautiful
Yes! I can definitely do that ☺️
@@Betta_Days awesome I love your setups they look beautiful 🤩
@@alliegator1372 thank you!! That means a lot 🥹 ❤️
Hi ,what a great idea. Really simple to follow and I will definately be putting some plants around my aquarium now. Thank you 😊p.s your tanks look really cool.
Thank you so much! It makes me so happy that I’m able to help other people find easy ways to enjoy fishkeeping. ☺️ Tag me if you post about your tank after adding the plants! ♥️
Thank u for sharing 😊 im ma go copy it!
Great idea and a great video! Thanks 😀
You’re very welcome! ☺️ Welcome to the betta fam!
❤Huge Thnx. Fantastic. I'm going to make these
You're very welcome! I hope you enjoy using!
@@Betta_Days Hi. Please can I ask u a questions? I see the water level is well below the top of the aquaria. Is this prevent a d of your beautiful boys jumping out?
With no cover glass the evaporation must be high?
I would be interested to hear why you leave the tanks uncovered. Huge thnx. Love your channel. Fascinating and I learn so much and gives food for thought.

@@stevehornshaw4478 yes I leave the water level low because there isn’t a lid. I also do so to provide room for the house plants that I have in that upper area. The evaporation is pretty high, but I just top it off every day or so. ☺️
Thnx soo much for your immediate reply, much appreciated. ❤
Genius! Take my subscription, I've been trying to jerry rig riparian plants for years and have most of mine just flopping around at the moment. Do you have videos exploring different sorts of plants that will grow? There's a ton of 'these plants will grow in water' videos but few with fish tanks, and I'd love to get out of the box of just using the usual suspects
Other than keeping the water low, ideas for not having jumpers without a cover? :/ or making a cover work with plants? (I have three of those marineland 5s you've got, and cut the back out- derp! Well I can always silicone it back lol) my favorite betta jumped a couple days ago (I bred her myself, she was *so* tame and beautiful) and I'm broke up about it)
Oh wow! Your comment has made my day I’m SO glad I could help you solve your problem! I’ll try my best to come out with a video on which plants work well in an aquarium. ☺️ I’d honestly like to get the back out of my 5-gal and Instal a sponge filter. I think you did the right thing! I’ll explore ways to keep a jumper in its tank and make a video for you on that as well! ♥️ Thank you for subbing and welcome to the betta fam!
Thanks 👍
GRATITUDE💥🤩💥
nice😋
Didn't realize there were aquariums😂❤
The info you came here for (it's superfluous, as well): 4:26
Airline tubing inside diameter 3/16 inch (or) 0.1875 inch (or) 4.78 millimeter
Suction cup inside diameter 3/16 inch (or) 0.1875 inch (or) 4.78 millimeter
Connector T shape (not K shape)
Somehow my pothos are dying off in my tank but my mini monstera that acted half dead when she was in soil is THRIVING in my betta females 5g
Plants can be picky sometimes! I do fertilize my tank so maybe the house plants love it too!
Try more light; they’re really hardy.
Your frogbit looks perfect! how do you get them to look like that? I just bought new ones and they arent looking that good
Maybe its the light? I have the same aquarium you have but I use the light that came with it
If I'm being honest I don't have a clue 😆 In my smaller tank they die! The ONLY difference is that in this tank there is zero current. I also dose fertilizer, but I do that in the other tank as well. I know that plants have to initially get used to your water parameters, but frogbit has always been a mystery to me 😂
Awesome idea❤
Can I just say your earrings are beautiful❤❤❤
Aw thank you so much! I made them! I don’t have pierced ears so I have to make my earrings ☺️♥️
Very clever! Ty
You’re very welcome!
Great idea 👍👍👍
Thank you!
wow amazing
Peace lillies and pothos roots nearly to my substrate, only been a month
I love it!
This is cool!
Thank you!! 💗☺️
Nice Video, Keep up the great work :)
Beautiful tanks btw
@@ZhangAquatics thank you so much! ☺️💗
i love you
if yoiu dont have airline tubing I guess you could use a zip-tie and super glue it to the sucker
@@MoreChannelNoise true!!
@@Betta_Days Also you can hang a strip of light diffuser or egg crate and hang several pots from it
Do you leave your prayer plants in the aquarium indefinitely? I tried with mine and they all failed. Wondering if they just didn't take or if they just aren't meant to live in the aquarium permanently
I do yes, but only the roots are in water!
Awsm ideas.।
Would a spider plant be ok? i have several in my yard and growing new spider plants all the time.
Im sure it would be fine! Just choose one that can root in the water.
Mine did great !
Can u please tell me the name of all the plants you are using in the top filter ?
N joy, golden pothos, and prayer plant. ☺️
@@Betta_Days Thank you ❤️
just use paperclip!!!! or cable that u can bend.
I'm always afraid something like that will rust!
@@Betta_Days hmm... plant love rust, rust almost have no effect on fish n shrimp in small amount. n they sink to subtrate. 3-4 paperclip will do nothing
ua-cam.com/video/eDGoWBABYqQ/v-deo.htmlsi=gJXZAhXT9HrRUZ1I - or you could just get aluminum/stainless steel bonsai wire and make these. They're sturdier and can hold heavier plants like peace lillies.
I usually try to stay away from using anything metal in or near aquariums. It can pose a risk to aquatic life.
@@Betta_Days yeah, that's why you run the wire through airline/co2 hose, before bending into shape.
:( I can't get wandering dudes to grow in my tanks. Everything else grows great but for some reason the wanderers don't. :(
Yeah, sometimes that happens. Just focus on the ones that do grow well! I find that pothos and philodendron are my favorite. :)
@@Betta_Days my plants are all green. I wanted to add a little color to my riparium and keep hearing wandering Jews do great in ripariums. I guess they just don't like me. :(
Don't use pothos if you have dogs or cats as this plant is very toxic
Pothos tastes horrible and most pets will not touch it. Of all the plants our cat chews on, she never touches the pothos and neither do our dogs. A quick google search will confirm that pet poisoning to pothos rarely occurs.
Did Google interview everyone in America who has pets? I absolutely love and care for my pets so why would I take the risk? There are many other plants that aren't toxic that you can place in your aquarium. @@nathananderton8546
