Scirocco was always my dream car, finally got the 2.0 tdi last year and was my pride and joy. Had to sell if recently as had a baby but already planning on buying the R280 once the mrs is back at work!

The Rocco is a perfect example of a car design that aged damm well that thing just needed an updated interior and it would shit on any cars that VW been pushing lately
Rear track from the Passat. Still think about my R, had absolutely no wants or hates from the car. Moved to an M2 which is objectively and subjectively better, but I tell you what the Scirocco R has better suspension for the back roads (comfort mode) and gets you a large proportion of what the M2 can do albeit it's not as cheeky as the M2 and while the Rs four pot does sound excellent it can't compare to the inline 6. In-gear I think the Scirocco was as fast as my M2 due to the low curb weight, off the line no contest obviously. (I should add was stage one mapped by R-Tech 314.8bhp 349lbft on Dyno)
almost a carbon copy of my one, 2013, pre face lift, 38k, Bought it with 24k had it 2 1/2 years, 2nd owner. Just added auto tech HPFP and RS3 LPFP, so new map time soon should be a nice 380ish once the new maps on. Nice Vid bud.
This is the first exhaust i have heard without the "fart noise" on the upshift with a full exhaust. Is there something you have done to stop that as I hate it. This is by far the best rocco I have heard so far and is exactly how I want to setup my one. Any advise would be grateful around the sound. Thanks
These piss all over the common as muck golfs in my opinion looks wise. Fairplay to the lad, nice motor, not over done or anything, just to my taste! Good video mate 👏.

@@biggstru2731 yeh mines in 18th April Mk6 gti tsi, turbo technics hybrid, Wellycooler etc. Mines the last there doing for big turbo mapping on the gen1 tsi. Been waiting since September sooo excited.
@@bmw_phc i was always manual untill i got my rocco R ,wouldnt go back to manual tbh ,people say they lose some experince of the drive ,however in other ways it increases it and gives 4 ways to use the box ,the more power you have the less you want manual these days ,dsg allows you to concentrate on the road and your driving and such ,plus all the big advantages of dsg over manual ,like shifting times ,reliability ,power handling and such. each to there own ,i feel alot of people fear change and most havent even tried them tbh . however we will all be driving auto electric cars soon anyway ....
I had one of the first ones in the UK , R20 WOB reg. I never got on with it and found it a little boring, came from a R32 and went to a TT RS. How you can think that a EA113 or EA888 sounds " INCREDIBLE!" is beyond me. They do look good though and have aged really well.

Great looking car! 👌 I've got a Scirocco 2.0 TSI, R-Tech stage 2 and it's a laugh when it works but I have to tell you it's been far and away the least reliable most expensive car to keep on the road that I have ever owned. Excluding mods and running costs it's cost me over £3,500 in 18 months. After I sell it I don't think I'll be buying another fast VW.

i thought that ,but then the golf is a far more boring drive and the scirocco can still put down alot of power fine ,i feel people are obsessed with internet power figures and its made us numb to real life power ,a tuned scirocco R is very fast on the road.
Nice build but stage 2+ I think you should have upgraded the intercooler I think you have the plastic end type same as s3 which is meant to be ok but best bang for buck is say Airtec 2 or wellycooler or if funds Wagner you will get Heat soak on track or at the pod in summer and I think you will lose 10 Bhp down to standard Intercooler good to see you spent money on good brakes its a must at them speeds
I was originally put off by the front wheel when trying to choose between this or the golf. I am so glad I bought a Scirocco R, not only does it look damn amazing, but it's just so fun to drive!
you say that but the golf R is boring to drive due to the 4 wheel drive ,and has been said by multiple reviewers ,however the scirocco is always praised for its fun drive . on top of that it can handle a good amount of power ,nobody needs the crazy power levels the internet has made us numb to.
Scirocco was a dream car of mine before I could drive, gutted they discontinued them! Imagine a facelift Scirocco with the virtual dash etc

I got a facelift R. If it was AWD i would have tuned it to 400hp and kept it forever.
with a anti lift kit and good tyres a R can put that down fine ,no need to go 4 wheel drive and numb the experience ,yes i own a scirocco R (325bhp)

Remove the hood insulation, did it mine it makes a huge difference, you can hear the intake much much better
