Good informational video.
The type we purchased the solar panel is twice the size, nightmare fitting to lampost due to weight. However, we are able to charge our battery through direct PSU 12vDC feed before deployed to premises.
This system in your video is better for our purposes though so will be checking this out, specification, battery life on modes.
we have a newer model also that is higher Res camera and better solar panel and battery life etc

May I ask you for the camera? Is it able to rotate from right to left and from bottom to up by the user's control?
Hi, how am I going to record remotely? DVS wasn't able to tell me what storage do I need for 1 month storage (for 4 x cameras as in your video) and what other components do I need to save the data. thanks.
Great video and pretty straight forward with no bull5hit. Just a question for you. How or where do you save the recordings if you only have a once a week access to the device
you can download to the phone the event in question , or if you want to download all the events remotely I would use HIK-Central and download that way , you could use IVMS-4200 and HIK-Connect to do this but HIK-Connect doesn’t allow download of the footage , unless you have a static IP sim card and add in that way it would then be possible

1. Video storage and live monitoring is concern. If we use a p2p link between camera and control room will is solve the live camera power consumption issue?
2. It appears mentioned solar panel and storage may not sufficient for continuous surveillance application, how can we expand this backup.?
if you can use a P2P link between camera and control room then this camera wont be needed as you can then use a standard camera as it will also need to power the link in the camera position , the new model has better battery and more efficient panel so that might be something to consider 😊
Question: how loud is the loudspeaker? Another question: the schedule sleep , is the selection the off or the on time ?

what about the Public IP of 4G Sim Card, how can we find its WAN IP?
Is it Dynamic or static?
thanks for the comment , the IP of the Sim you could use the HIK-connect domain name and resolve it to see what the IP is for that period I suppose

@DVSLTD Great video. Could you help me please. I have a HIK DS-2XS2T41G0-ID/4G/C04S05. Its a 4G camera like yours just a bit compact. I see on the app there is a option called "linked" camera's. Does this mean I can link a camera to this one via ethernet and it will also display the secondary ip Camera via the 4g connection?
thanks for the comment , its not one we sell in the UK albeit I have asked to test one, regards linked cameras, when I have seen this option before it is indeed to link to other cameras

Hi and thanks for this, yes but we wouldn’t normally do this as you would need a fixed IP Sim really and the recording is then saved to the SD card , it would use a lot of data also when its awake which is another factor, I can try and find some information if needed,

Where do you get the micro SIM card? Does it come in the kit or is that something I would have to get somewhere else, if so where would one buy this?
to be honest you can use any class 10 SD card optimised for high read / write functions, 😊
Can you mount 2 cameras on the system instead of 1?
It's there a way to flag the firmware on this to support ANPR?
not currently but its something they are looking into as others have requested it

Great video Dave! The unfamiliarity of this unit for me is the sim/sim date side. Can you use an unlimited data SIM card package? How do you see the sim pn parameters as shown on your laptop? It would be great for another short video covering everything sim related. You said ‘be aware that if it doesn’t stay charged due to poor weather, the unit will shut down’ so how likely is this to happen with a uk climate as I can’t see a customer being too happy if an event is missed... especially considering the price they will pay for a product like this. Hope you can answer thanks.
Hi Moelwyn thanks for the comments, yes you can use any data sim effectively , we don’t limit this side as long as you use the APN details and username password it should be fine, each sim carrier will have their own details to use but googling “o2” APN details would show you the most common settings to use etc, the unit has been fitted here for 10 days and sits around 60% and given recent weather I am happy with that, but this will really depend on the usage as in how many events ( if any ) are sent to app and how many times you connect, view , download , so far I am pleased with it. Let me know if you want any more details 😊

Surprised that Dave recommends putting it outside for a few days before commissioning. I have seen cheaper knockoffs come with a 12V charger which quick charges the battery.

How does the whole kit cost and can you set it up to archive the video using hik central
we don’t give costs out on the channel , you can add it to HIK-Central and events will be uploaded , but it won’t record continuously due to the battery life and data costs
Out of curiosity, would this camera be available on its own in the near future to allow the use of a separate solar or wind generator and battery pack. I can see a great use for the camera with built in SIM but with a bigger battery pack and other ways of generating the power off grid.

Great video could you please support us for how to connect multiple cameras with solar power and 4G / 5G connectivity , is there any additional equipment from HIKVISON other than NVR and HIK central software

A couple of questions regarding this for United States Customers:
1.) Do you happen to know if there's an equivalent part # for the US market?
2.) Will this integrate with the Hikcentral Server environment?

Not sure of wattage but he mentioned 19. Something Ah battery
battery is 20Ah, solar panel is 40w

That is little bit low.

Thanks for the awesome video. My camera keeps disconnecting the 4G after about an hour or so. And, there is no way to connect it again unless I go up the pole, plug in to the port and hit connect again.

@@DVSLTD I didn't set a limit. But maybe my camera had one? I'll need to go up the pole tomorrow and plug in to check it.
@@crypto1300 Ok let us know ; I also know some SIm providers in uk have data limits that after a set amount they stop to protect over use , maybe worth asking the provider ?
@@DVSLTD I found a setting that will hang up the 4g connection after a specified amount (offline time) of seconds. The problem is that it only allows 30 - 65500 seconds. That means I'll need to go up the pole once a day to reconnect. I see in your video that yours has this setting also, but it is grayed out. Mine is not and a value in the range specified is required.

All good, but no battery, that's an extra part? not sure why as its an essential part
the battery is the main connection , its needed as without it there is no reserve of power 😊
To setup easily the camera with the sim card make sure the camera battery is at least 35% otherwise you stuck as I did trying to configure the camera, the reasons also if camera batteries not at 35% charged the sim card will not get connected same as when your mobile is with low battery it will keep cutting your signal

Thanks for nice video show us, I looking similar as your new solar CCTV camera system, What about other brand like PTZ or Chinese brands, or Farm Animals camera 20mp to 30mp price from $100 to $200. Are video pictures are clearer same as full frame DLSR Camera's Video Pictures?
I prefer to buy clearer biggest Sensors like aps-c, Why no companies making Full Frame Sensor 35mm to 23mm new security cameras with solar? I have search google none.
Only big retailer companies got expensive CCTV may have 12mm sensors, Are clearer photos video as your New solar HK camera picture clear?
I tried my friend CCTV camera 4K from Swann just bought brand new this year, I looked zooming 50% not clear, it burred? 20% zooming may clear max?
