Hello sir am a 4thyear medical student and planning to work in nhs and give plab? Should i start preparing from now?? Or what other things i should do while in med school which is useful in my plab journey??..
I have worked in a private hospital for a few years after completing my internship in my home country .. would it be considered while applying for the gmc registration or it has to be a government hospital only ?
Housejob is required to waive your fy1 off and gmc has nothing to do with the where you have worked , its just that you have to justify your whereabouts since the day you graduated
@@doctoransari6081 So you're saying only justification is necessary to support .. whether or not one had a job after their housejob/internship .. private / govt job .. these things don't matter in GMC registration or NHS jobs unlike in USMLE where this thing hold significant value .. Is that what you mean brother ?
Sir .. do clinical breaks or gaps affect getting the gmc registration or chances of getting a NHS job in further stage .. for example I have a gap of around 3-4 years after completing my internship as i was preparing for certain exams so would it matter ?
Well you’ll have to give a justification and it will be okay they might as for a proof of that exam or something , it might take sometime to find a job but eventually you’ll get it
Justification is not a problem sir .. i have proofs of exams I have appeared in and also the coaching classes I joined during this time .. all i am asking is which profile you think is more apt for them or preferable to them .. someone who's taken a long study break or someone who's been working in a hospital .. or both candidates are alike and this thing doesn't matter at all to them ??
The candidates who is linked with clinical is better but both of them will eventually get a job but when you see a CV the clinical one will certainly have an edge
Sir .. being Frank .. some of my seniors who are actually now in their residency .. they made certain arrangements somehow at certain local hospitals in their home country and got experience certificates & other required documents from them just to explain their clinical gap of 3-5 years .. can i opt for it ? .. Don't they check our salary statements in our bank account in background check ? .. or simply explaining it as a study leave for 3-5 years and supporting it with proofs would be fine ? .. i am kinda confused .. if i mention my gap as study leave .. chances for gmc registration and NHS job might be affected and if i try to somehow arrange experience certificates for myself from home country hospitals then it seems a bit risk taking .. isn't it ?
Well thats the thing, most of time they dont check but if there is some discrepancies they might ask for a confirmation by either sending them an email or they will ask you to get some forms signed for verification. But majority of the time they don’t bother so its better to keep your story straight and timeline neat
Hello sir 🙋🏻♂️ .. have you managed to get a job @ NHS ? .. how much time does it take usually and how difficult is it to get a job after gmc registration ?? .. Congrats btw 👍🏻🥳😊
You are doing an awesome work. Please make some more videos.
On the way brother
Do we need to request PMC to send our good standing certificate to GMC via courier? As we will get the soft copy of the certificate within a day.
You have to send it anyway to the gmc individually so don’t really matter
@@doctoransari6081 So just to confirm, in the option of courier to GMC, we skip that?
You can confirm
@@doctoransari6081 okay thanks!
