When someone mentions that their parents or loved one passed on u do not remain quiet Lebo, u acknowledge by passing your condolences or say words of comfort no matter how long ago it was
I grew up without a dad and was raised by a single mother who worked piece jobs, we slept on hunger, sometimes without electricity and I was forced to be a parent at 8 years old to my second younger brother who was 5 years old at the time(whose dad was not around too)..to this day we never knew our dads and I don't care about knowing them, I have never felt a void mom's love always filled us, today I am studying Computer Sciences and my younger brother Bachelor of Education, we never drank, smoked or slept around blaming it on the absenteeism of our dads, I have met phony people like this dude who blamed their actions and consequences for strange appetites on absent fathers, which I know its crap, I know some loser will think "ohhh but our situations are different, we are different as people.." , NO they are not and we are not different! and most times you find out individuals like these had better privilege, he is not a special case or an exception, I don't feel pity for people like this sorry(or rather I am not even sorry). I had to grow up so fast that I missed having a girlfriend and do what normal teens did, when I look back I do not regret anything, I wrote 3 hours matric exam papers on a hungry stomach for Physical Sciences and Life Sciences, I know what suffering is, what excuses does this phony dude has!?
Ous Lebo i think there is a lot of improvement, however you can do better please did dipper when interviewing your guest i feel like this interview was very light you could have gone deeper and asked more questions , Also please dont speak over your guests allow them to tell their stories without interrupting them. Otherwise i think your cool, you show a lot of empathy to your guests and throw in a bit of humour here and there which is good in this way the guest becomes comfortable sharing.
Thanks for the feedback. I only engage people on what they are comfortable to talk about. It’s already difficult for them to put their lives out there so I need to create a safe space for them. Let’s be considerate🙏🏽

But I'm glad you are rising through the brokenness to emerge as the best version of you. While it took me some time to get over it all. I know now how deep my love is, so very deep! I suspect the podcast may come to an end because it served it's purpose now.
