This level of honesty is unheard of, so I'm grateful Daina has the confidence to share the reality of what she went through. Women are the prize!!!
actually that is not true, plenty of women talk about and have been talking their partenrs, boyfriends and husband infidelities. What has changed is that society as a whole and particularly the in the black community and the new generation and in this new era is that women are tired of always doing their best to make things work and not get their investment back. BTW I am 42, I have had plenty of examples of healthy happy marriages but it is listening to women like her that at 15, i gave up on love and marriage. however, my view changed when at the same age, I met a boy who worshiped the ground I walked on. After asking my father permission to date, we dated for a whole year.

@@Kharris6 at 15 1 year is a lifetime. BTW, I wasn't born in the UK so dating in Congo was and still is a lot different. Plus my family relocated to a whole different continent.

I listened to the whole episode, the only thing I didn't like was when Adeola said she wouldn't recommend therapy. I get that it's from her own experience but girlllll I definitely think Daina would benefit from it simply because she's coming from a whole public marriage that she was being emotionally abused in for 12 years.
