would you recommend me getting my photos off my phone? I have an iPhone onto my computer and then putting them on the Amazon desktop or should I just use the app on my iPhone that says Amazon Photos is there a better way than the other? Is there a pros and cons doing it certain way?
When it comes to photos on your phone what you need to make sure is that they are backed up. Which means getting them somewhere other than your phone. If Amazon photos is one of you backup options then I would use the auto backup on the app as then you don't need to do anything 😊
It is pretty decent, better than Google Photos, but if you are used to Apple Photos it will pale in comparison. You can always have a play with it with a few photos before you commit with a full load! 😁
Excellent... BUT you use the term Photos in all these videos.. specifically Google and Amazon.. is a RAW file considered a 'photo' by those services?... TIA..🙏👍
I have good news for you, both Google and Amazon will load Raw files. Just one watch out on Google is that as it is not unlimited if you load larger Raw files it will take up more of your GB allowance and you might end up paying more, so keep an eye on that! 😁
Nope should still be unlimited photos, but the video storage is limited to 5GB. But worth checking if there are any differences in your local Amazon sites as there can be differences by country. 😁
Oh yes, another organiser found this limitation the other day, if you are not the prime account holder and just sharing the prime, you don't get all the benefits 😢
You can't do it directly from the Amazon app, you would need to download them and first using the Desktop app and load them to the other location you want to use 😁
Yes you can, it is exactly the same way as photos. On the phone app you just need to go to the auto backup settings and ask it to do videos as well. Oh and you only get 5GB included, so if you have a lot of videos, you will have to pay more. 😊
Had the same question, seems like Amazon was TOO good to be true... I have like 1 TB of videos from my travels and concerts, how much would that cost me extra? lol.
@anthonyk1020 currently for 1TB that is going to be £7.99 per month or £79.99 a year, and roughly the same for other currencies, so a decent amount of money!😊
What do you think of Amazon photos for storing your photos?

Is the web interface good? (e.i. the one to access your files in other computer with the browser)

Can you backup your Amazon photos and videos to another cloud storage (Dropbox, iCloud....NAS) or to a external hard drive?

But how can I storage my videos in Amazon photos? no one seems to know, it's sooooo frurtraiting. Do a video explaining that please
