These are all good choices, but ordering them is up to personal choice and quite -decisive- divisive indeed. I usually will prioritize any perk or cornerstone that reduces hostility, and have a soft spot for all effects that benefits from opening caches (free stuff with benefits!).
I was onboard with the first two choices! Definitely disagreed with the top 3 though, tightened belts is pretty good considering its only epic but I rate mist piercers/fungal guide pretty low. My top 5 would be some combination of exploration expedition/alarm bells/baptism of fire/burnt to a crisp/no quality control. Any of these cornerstones is an instant pick, automatic win. Honourable mentions: protected trade, rebellious spirit, cheap construction
Thanks for commenting! I was gonna put Alarm Bells in the video, but I find it extremely dangerous to make work over multiple years. Leaving 4/5 blightrot cysts unburnt can lead you into a cyst heavy next storm, especially if it’s year 3 and 6 the next year. I started preferring to burn all the blightrot even if I have foxes, because it’s one less micro to worry about.
Less gears, much easier to get services up early, easier species housing etc It's only an honourable mention because it doesn't outright win you the game but it still gets you to your win conditions faster

i also like most of these cornerstones but why cheap construction? i dont understand the value, cause less gears needed?
