Skah goes for the world record, Antibo goes for Skah. One of the strangest races ever run. Follow me on Facebook - www.facebook.c... www.goldenageof...
Skah was very strong especially in his kick. He beat many Africans (Kenyans in cross country with this kick and did very well against Haile) He would have been a very good and strong Marathon runner but he never did try that. Although, he did very well at the half, even won a world championship in that. He did not finish his career well. Antibo was a very talented runner. When I lived in Sicily during the early 1980's, I would see him training with the Palermo track club and I even ran against him in a road race (The castlebuono 10.000) which he came in second and it was won by Pizzolato (who won a New York City Marathon) But Antibo was a Bonafide track runner. Very talented.
