@@nchevrea another good one is Wanted Dead or Alive but I think there’s only 4 seasons. In my opinion it’s the only western that is a lil bit better than Bonanza
I'm sure glad Ben didn't get killed. If he did, Bonanza would be more like the Laural and Hardy comedy hour with only Little Joe and Hass left on the ranch. lol
You like episodes with Adam yet Adam made it clear he did like Bonanza. Adam preferred more sophisticated acting and he was not about team work he was a out Adam, me, myself, and I ONLY!
@@lindalawon9151 That may very well be but Pernell played Adam for 6 years and and did his best to portray the character. I am entitled to enjoy him as Adam. And as Dr. John .
Okay I understand Todd's frustration about his father(Luke)being killed by Ben, but Ben had no choice but to pull the trigger or else he was dead. Luke's intentions were hostile and he got himself killed. Todd was even lucky that Ben wanted to help him.
Oh how dare that mean old rich Ben Cartwright defend himself and not allow Luke to kill him. Sorta reminds me of how many people think today! Luke got what he deserved!
What is that woman sad over? Luke made it very clear that he did not want her. She's a sorry person wanting someone who never wanted her and she knew it. She thought she could but him out. Even though she was a saloon person, she still had much much more than Luke and he resented it and even said he did not want a woman telling him what to do. She's blind in one eye and can't see out the other.

I get the kid being upset about his pa being shot, but if he cared to listen to the circumstances of how it happened u would just have to except that, and for the way he is treating the Cartwrights hospitality, that boy would get a good ass whoopin and straighten up!!!!
Didn't care for this episode. The son was full so full of hate& anger.,The girlfriend was delusional, she talked about the dead man like he was Rock Huson, not the big loser that he was.And Ben playing the forgiving good guy to the extreme!.

There’s nothing wrong with working a horse but they WERE treated badly for tv back then , making horses fall over etc which could injure the horse at any time ! That’s why these days when animals are used on tv and film they have people there to make sure no animal was injured during filming. You can’t even hurt a cockroach on set these days, but back then it was different and a lot of horses were hurt filming westerns, especially being they didn’t have fancy special effects back then so if they want to show an injured horse or a horse get killed they actually did it, kinda like how you see people branding animals on westerns. An animal on tv doesn’t need to be branded for a non existent ranch, but they were always branding horses and cows on westerns. I love westerns but the animals were badly treated
No, it’s actually more uncomfortable for a cow not to be milked so shit your clueless mouth up! Animals WERE cruelly treated on tv and films back in those days !
The animals were horses on this show were treated wonderfully the sadly in 1964 somebody broke into the Stables where they use these horses and they cut their throats sadly one of them who didn't make it was Cochise that was the horse that Michael Landon had. He put out a reward but no one ever came forward to say who did it. He said Cochise was a great horse. The other horses lived out. Lorene's horse Buck, he donated to charity for disabled children. Michael Landon said on The Tonight Show about learning how to ride a horse for the series (all of the cast). He said they couldn't sit for a week..lol.
God damn i love Bonanza.....truly.
I started watching old shows like this since the first lockdown. I’m hooked.
