This video covers the second part of a very long visit to John F. Kennedy International Airport. All of the aircraft seen here are departing from Runway 13R (and in some cases you will see a 13L arrival pop into view). A decision was made to film 13R departures in the middle of the afternoon and evening because JFK was utilizing the 22L/13L arrival split, which is common in the summer, and is one of the most efficient ways of getting all of the arrivals into JFK. The decision was made to shoot 13R departures after having lost opportunities to get several specials that were due in on 22L, and the decision to shoot departures was, again, a great decision. This is also the first part of the video of 13R departures, and was split up due to the sheer amount of video shot.
Not all departures are seen here, as I skipped the large majority of the regional jets (and a bunch of business jets) due to them appearing really far away. However, there are a few gems in this video!
Video featured here covers departures from 2:19 PM to 4:58 PM.
