  • Enjoy several rare sights like the Dreamlifter, the new Iberia livery, the new JetBlue and AA A321Ts + much more in this 20 minute video!
We left for the airport several hours before my flight so that I could catch some evening departures out of JFK before departing myself! I was wearing double gloves and my warmest jacket, but it still felt like I was going to die by the time I left haha. Not only was it -15°C/10°F, but it was extremely windy and humid by the ocean! Enjoy guys, I had to fight to get this one for you ;)

In this one video, you truly managed to capture the reasons why JFK airport is one of the best when it comes to variety! This is what I would call a great day! AA and B6's A321's, IB's new livery A330 and the dreamlifter all in one. For that reason alone I say it was well worth fighting the cold. I hope you make many more JFk vids!

Congrats on getting the jetBlue A321!!! The Dreamlifter is also a great sight. I also love the American Airlines A321T. KFJK has a lot of action. I'm lucky I get to see all of it everyday.

Hey, good nite, mr. Danton, nice going !! Thanks so much for more this outstanding vídeo..I just love all of them..!! Here in Campo Grande, Brazil's West side, there is never snow around...thanks God..lol..!! Our airport is a simple one, but with reasonable runways... Operation with small planes, also 737, A-330, Fokker and Emb-395 (brazilian made jet). You're damn Lucky to watch all those fantastic birds flying away and listening to a distant thunder..!! Keep it up, we simply keep waiting for more..!!

As far as I am concerned you probably have the best non-commercial aviation spotting videos on the net. But beat this for cold, when I lived in Montreal I went spotting in winter and it was -45 with wind factor. I remember I had to pairs of everything (winter jacket/trousers etc) yet I lasted 8 mins outside and ran back to the car. Keep up the great work buddy.

Forget what you know and imagine the planes taking off from that wharf (I know, I know, but humor me here). They come to the "end" with no altitude achieved. A gripping moment, albeit imaginary!

Mega props to you for braving the weather! Question: why do we not see big vapor trails behind the planes in these low temperatures? They tend to form when they're at altitude, but, given the temperatures in this video, why are they not seen near the ground? Does it have to do with humidity/dew point?

SMH, a simple google search proves this,. Yes I know the difference between celsius and farenheit. NY frequently gets lower than -6 celsius in the winter. If you bother to click the link you'll see NYC reached 4 degrees Farenheit, thats -15 Celsius on January 7th. This was the coldest January in decades.
